Deadpool Gives Us A Look At His Softer Side

deadpool-domino-psylock-rogue

As we’ve seen in the past, Deadpool is typically abrasive toward the new characters that enter to co-star in his upcoming game. That doesn’t appear to be the case today. The fourth-wall-breaking mercenary seems, erm, overly excited for the addition of the ladies.

Domino, Psylocke, and Rogue will be co-starring alongside other popular Marvel heroes like Wolverine. The difference is that Deadpool is welcoming these ladies with open arms.

How can we put his thoughts on the matter into words? Perhaps it’s best to let him do it himself:

Okay. Play it cool, Pool. Gotta think of a really awesome line to impress a Southern lady this classy and elegant. <slicks back facial scarring> “Hey there, sugah… I hear you absorb powers. Well, you’ve certainly absorbed my affection!” No? Hmm…what about “How would you like to join Domino and Psylocke as the inaugural class of Deadpool’s School for Gifted Making Out?” and then I just stare deeply into her eyes for like 15 minutes in silence? Wait, okay, what if I was just like “Damn, girl, you must be Rogue, because you’re sucking the life out of me…” NO! Okay, well, if we break up that’ll be good, but…

GUH! This is difficult! Only now do I understand your burden, everyone on a reality dating show. You – you are the real heroes.

Deadpool will be out Tuesday, June 25 for XBox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For more information you can check out the official website here.

Final Fantasy XII HD release a possibility if other HD releases are successful

final-fantasy-xii-01

Whenever a franchise is successful a sequel is almost always guaranteed but what happens when you aren’t making a sequel, but an HD version of one of your previous titles? Well it looks like if it sells well, it means more HD re-releases will occur.

Speaking with RPG Site, Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD producer Yoshinoro Kitase spoke about a number of things including the process of remastering these titles but when asked about other remasters he had this to say:

“We’ll have to wait and see if these remasters are going to be successful, first. If they do well, I think this will pave the way for more of the previous games to remade in an HD sort of quality. I mean, if we had to single out one of the vast number of Final Fantasy titles which we could make in HD, it would have to be Final Fantasy XII.”

So while not the elusive white whale that Final Fantasy fans have been looking for in the form of Final Fantasy VII, it looks like there could be some success in these games in the future, especially if it means that a Square Enix FFXII HD re-release could happen sometime in the future.

It has been a long time coming so hey, what are a few extra weeks? Today it was announced via its Kickstarter page that Shadowrun Returns will not be returning in June but instead will be releasing on July 25. The reason for the delay is due to the fact that the developing team, Harebrained Schemes, wants to take a few more weeks to fix various bugs and polish the game a bit more before it is released.

It is worth noting that Kickstarter backers will actually be able to get the game a day earlier as their Steam keys will be mailed out on July 24.

E3 2013 was a big deal for more than one reason. For the folks over at Flying Wild Hog (makers of Hard Reset) and Devolver Digital (Hotline Miami, Serious Sam 3: BFE), it was a chance to unveil Shadow Warrior, their remake on the classic snarky first-person shooter.

Shadow Warrior is back, and with some serious upgrades. Originally created by 3D Realms, the remake will be coming out for PC as well as next-gen consoles. Players will take on the role of Lo Wang, the corporate shogun of Zilla Enterprises. Ordered to track down and acquire a legendary sword, Lo is forced into a timeless battle where he learns of the blade’s connection to ancient gods and another realm.

Shadow Warrior will combine guns, swords, magic, and more as Wang and his companion, Hoji, must fight to banish the forces of darkness.

New Pain & Gain Poster

Paramount Pictures
‘ action-comedy Pain & Gain will be coming to cinemas nation-wide August 8.

Visibile to the right is the brand-new poster, featuring main protagonists Daniel Lugo (Mark Wahlberg) and Paul Doyle (Dwayne Johnson).

Although the film is based on a true story that isn’t funny in the least, this Michael Bay directed romp is hoping to make us laugh at these gym-junkie extortionists known as the Sun Gym gang, of which Adrian “Noel” Doorbal (Anthony Mackie) is also a member.
