Bad Piggies Gameplay Trailer

For creatures with no limbs, those pigs from Angry Birds have quite the knack for construction. Some of those towers can take quite a pounding. How did they get to be so handy?

Rovio have just released a gameplay trailer for the spinoff game, Bad Piggies, and it puts that question to rest.

When it launches next week, players will guide the Green Legless Ham in contraption construction, then drive their weird vehicles through various obstacle courses.

It looks like a wise move for the franchise: the Angry Birds were all about destruction, so a game about construction, starring the original enemies, is the perfect antithesis, while still maintaining a focus on physics puzzles.

Check out the trailer below, and get ready to hear the other side of the story on September 27, on iOS and Android.

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper to be a Wii U launch title

While may of us already knew that Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper will be coming to the Wii U, Tecmo Koei has announced today that the game will actually be a Wii U launch title rather than simply launch window. While Warriors Orochi 3 may have already been released on other consoles already, the Wii U version will feature a number of special additions.

Although the title already featured a number of special guests before, such as characters from Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden and other Tecmo Koei titles, Hyper will also include a brand new character that has not been in past Warriors games. It will also feature a brand new “Duel Mode” which looks similar to a fighting game at first glance. Check out the trailer below to see for yourself and be sure to check out the game when you pick up your Wii U in November.

Gameplay Trailer for Uprising44: The Silent Shadows Release

DMD Enterprise has released a gameplay trailer showing off Uprising44: The Silent Shadows in action for its release to digital distribution.  The gameplay trailer, which players can check out embedded below, shows off more of the combination of the Third-Person Perspective and the Real-Time Strategy as the video shows the player character moving through the streets, then commanding others through their binoculars.

Uprising44: The Silent Shadows is based on the biggest civilian uprising in WWII where the Silent Shadows, precursors to our modern day special forces, dropped behind enemy lines to aid civilians in a resistance.  Taking place in Warsaw, it is also the first interdependent computer game based on the incident there.  Priced at $14.99 or 11.99 EUR players interested in downloading the game can find it from Get Games HERE, Green Man Gaming HERE, or Gamers Gate for PC HERE and Mac HERE.

Hitman: Absolution’s tools of the trade shown off in latest trailer

While some hitmen may simply go for the easy kills with guns, Agent 47 isn’t afraid of getting his hands a little wet when it comes to assassinations. While players can choose to use any number of firearms they please, there are many more ways to take down your targets in Hitman: Absolution and each one looks more brutal than the next.

As players aim for their target they can choose any number of items to kill those in their way. They’ll have a choice from your classic garrote wire and silenced pistols and other firearms as well as a number of more… lets say improvised weaponry as well. This means nearly everything can be used as a weapon in Agent 47’s hands. Don’t believe me? Then check out the trailer below to see for yourself.

Borderlands 2 launch trailer brings the hype

With Borderlands 2 set to be released tomorrow in North America, 2K Games and Gearbox Software have chosen today to release the launch trailer for the title which can be seen below. As one would expect, the trailer promises some epic co-op multiplayer packed with more guns than you can shake a midget at.

As for the rest of the world, they will have to wait until September 20th when the game is released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in their regions. Until then however, they can spend some time shooting up Handsome Jack’s rock face and maybe win some neat prizes here.

Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Has Been Announced

EA and BioWare have just announced Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. Other than an approximate release window of “late 2013” not much information was given in the press release, however we do also know that, through collaboration with DICE, the game will run on an all new engine based on Frostbite 2 tech.

Even though Dragon Age 2 was considered a step backwards for the franchise by many, a sequel was always none-the-less expected. And it seems that it’s developers over at BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal are making great efforts to rectify fan’s complaints for the upcoming Inquisition the studios’ General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, states: “We’ve been poring over player feedback from past games and connecting directly with our fans. They haven’t held back, so we’re not either. With Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, we want to give fans what they’re asking for – a great story with choices that matter, a massive world to explore, deep customization and combat that is both tactical and visceral.  Aaron Flynn, General Manager of BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Montreal.”

Those words are no doubt encouraging for the series’ vocal fans who clamored for a return-to-form of sorts for the franchise, with the first title, Dragon Age: Origins, setting the bar high for non-linear and dynamic narrative – something that was inexplicably butchered in Dragon Age 2. With the Dragon Age team having already worked on Inquisition for almost two years, the turnaround will be almost a year and a half longer than the one between Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2; not being rushed is a great sign that BioWare can make good on it’s above promises. Visit the Dragon Age 3: Inquisition page on the official Dragon Age website for an open letter by Executive Producer, Mark Darrah.

For those Dragon Age fans, how optimistic/excited are you for Inquisition?

Take down Mount Jackmore to win some neat Borderlands 2 prizes

Although the release of Borderlands 2 may only be a day away in North America, nearly every other region in the world has to wait a few more days. It seems that in an effort to make these extra days pass by a little bit faster, Gearbox Software has chosen to launch a new little game called “Mount Jackmore” which allows players to possibly win some special Borderlands 2 items and even Limited Edition Loot Lockers.

In the game, which can be found here, players will be given 100 bullets to shoot at the arrogant face of Handsome Jack which has been carved into a mountain. Gamers will be able to win special prizes as the rock itself is chipped away, and will have to occasionally compete with one another to hit specific spots. Now since North America is getting the game tomorrow, they aren’t able to play this version of the game. Instead only residents of the UK, France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Russia and Australia can do so.
