Lords of the Fallen Debut Trailer Released

lords-of-the-fallen-screen-01

Lords of the Fallen, the next-gen RPG by senior producer of The Witcher 2 Tomasz Gop, has landed its first pre-rendered trailer.

Described as “hardcore”, “challenging” and looking somewhat like a fancier Dark Souls with a high-fantasy vibe, Lords of the Fallen was officially unveiled earlier this year and was playable at E3.

LORDS of the FALLEN is an action-RPG featuring advanced combat systems and robust class skill trees. Set in a richly created fantasy world where the Gods have failed mankind, players will take on the role of a human named Harkyn who sets out on a quest to stand against an apparently unstoppable supernatural force. Players travel across a world that is deeply divided by those who follow, and others who resist, the Fallen God. Along their journey they will be faced with a series of decisions that will alter both their gameplay experience and their character.

Due to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Lords of the Fallen is developed by German studio Deck 13 in collaboration with and published by Polish studio CI Games. Check out the action-packed trailer below.

Fighter Within Announced with Trailer

Ubisoft has announced a new exclusive for the Xbox One at GamesCom today, in addition to the other games it is showcasing there, with the new Kinect fighting game Fighter Within. Don’t worry about not being at GamesCom if stuck at home, as Ubisoft has released a trailer (embedded below) giving a nice teaser for the game and what players will be able to do in it.

From the trailer the game seems set on letting players unlock their inner fighter no matter who you are or what you do, though it should probably be a good idea to use loose fitting clothes regardless. In terms of Fighter Within itself, there isn’t too much to see a few clips showing the game combatants beating the snot out of each other, but whether these are the actual in-game graphics remains to be seen.

Overall, a nice taste of what is to come with more information for Fighter Within, though if the graphics are actually in-game it does look pretty good. Slated for release during “Holiday 2013” players can expect it to come out shortly after or the same time as its exclusive console Xbox One.

Beware of Zombies in YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z

Yaiba-Zombie-1
Zombies have taken over the entire world and only one certain ninja can do anything about it. In YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z you get to slay a large variety of zombies to your blood-thirty hearts content.

There is a number of zombies that you can slice and dice in YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z and Tecmo Koei has kindly detailed the several types of ‘stiffs’ in their Zombie alert announcement:

1. The Infected (Normal Stiff)
Most of our ex-neighbours and friends stink. You might have thought they stunk when they were alive too, but now their odour is unmistakeably horrible. They seem to be stronger, faster, (a hell of a lot) uglier and stupider than they were in life and if you have keen sense of smell you might be able to avoid them- for a minute or two.

2. Electric Infected (Electric Stiff)
These electricity-charged stiffs seem to be producing their own electric power. It’s actually amusing, but if these guys were contained they could actually produce free electricity for all! However, given the fact that almost everyone is dead or hiding, TV and microwave ovens should be the least of your worries. Remember high school physics and either try to ground them or drown them. Either way you won’t have much time to act.

3. Burning Infected (Fire Stiff)
Don’t approach them unless you’re cold or tired of living and want to leave life in flames. They are ever-burning, glow in the dark, hideously disfigured and smell disturbingly like BBQ.

4. Toxic Infected (Bile Stiff)
If you are an optimist who believes the army will come to this city’s rescue- don’t be. Those idiots already came and skilfully managed to get themselves infected WHILE WEARING THEIR SUITS. So now they are trapped in there, feeding on their own flesh and producing some sort of green toxic bile that looks extremely disgusting and highly corrosive.

5. The Priest (Scorcher)
On the other hand, if you look to the clergy for an answer to your prayers- look again. They are nowhere to be found. Apart from this one priest that roams the city with a scorching censer- hopefully reading everyone their posthumous last rites, but most likely wreaking vengeance on whoever he thinks is wicked and sinful; so pretty much everyone that walks past him.

6. The Brawler (Shredder)
The rich and famous did not escape this scourge either! Local celebrity and world famous ex-boxer and MMA fighter Vseslav Degtyarev has fallen victim to the infection and is now laying his award winning punches to everyone in range. Yes, some might judge him for that brief assault case, or for the fact his career didn’t end in the most pleasant note, but look at him now! Strong as ever! Agile as a panther! Quick as a.. quickly rotting undead thing.

7. The Terrible Two (Baby Bruiser)
To be honest, no one really knows what this is. It seems to be some sort of experiment gone wrong as it has two heads and is slightly over-sized. It also seems to be hungry all the time and does cry a lot when it doesn’t suck on some poor passer-by’s bone marrow.

You can check out some pictures of the types of ‘stiffs’ in YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z below. The game is slated for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iOS in early 2014. Be sure to let us know what you think of these wild zombies and of YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z in the comments section.
