Keiji Inafune’s BUGS vs TANKS! Out For 3DS…In Europe

Renowned Japanese game company LEVEL-5 (Ni No Kuni, Professor Layton) has released BUGS vs. TANKS! in Europe. The game is available via the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS.

Created by video game legend Keiji Inafune (Mega Man, Onimusha, Dead Rising), BUGS vs. TANKS! puts players in the role of a shrunken World War II tank that must battle for survival against swarms of angry insects.

You’ll have to master authentic WWII tanks pulled straight from the history books to defeat ants, bees, moths, and more. You can even customize your tanks by changing the body, turret, and paint jobs. BUGS vs. TANKS! also features co-operative multiplayer missions where up to four players can team up to take down some of the baddest bugs alive!

BUGS vs. TANKS! is available now on the Nintendo eShop for ₤7.19. You can check out more information for the game at their official website here.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s E3 demo released with developer commentary

While we may have seen what Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag had to offer at E3 last week, it was during an on-stage performance that was cut away from a number of times. As such, Ubisoft has decided to release the entire demo without any cutaways and as an added bonus, they have given us some developer commentary to accompany the video.

You can check out the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag footage below and keep an eye out for the game itself when it is released on both current generation consoles as well as next-gen platforms and of course the PC.

Exstetra’s first teaser trailer released

Remember that RPG involving kissing to save the world? Well today FuRyu, the same company behind Unchained Blades, has released their first teaser trailer for the title. The trailer is courtesy of Famitsu but it does give us a very small glimpse of what Exstetra‘s gameplay may look like as well as some anime cutscene goodness.

Besides that, there isn’t too much to note besides the ClariS song and the new tsundere character that appears near the end of the trailer. At the moment Exstetra is set to be released on the 3DS and Vita this October in Japan while no Western release has been announced.

Thief to be released on 360 and PS3 as well

Since Square Enix announced that they were bringing a new Thief game, simply called Thief, to gamers they have only discussed the fact that the game was coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and have never mentioned if the title would be gracing older consoles. Well today Eidos Montréal confirmed with fans that it is indeed coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well.

Both the next-gen and current-gen versions of the game are being worked on by Eidos Montréal so this means that little will change in the game overall except the visual quality. Both generations of the game will still be released sometime in 2014.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles’ first trailer released

Today Namco Bandai released their first official promo video for Tales of Symphonia Chronicles but it is worth noting the video is entirely in Japanese. That is of little concern however as it still gives us a look at both games in motion and just from this initial footage it looks like the HD remastering of these games has gone splendidly.

For those who don’t know, this release includes both Tales of Symphonia and Dawn of the New World on one disc exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Currently Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is set to be released in Japan on October 10th while a Western release date is set for sometime in 2014.

Toki Tori 2+ Gets Delayed…Again

Though it was previously revealed that Toki Tori 2+ would be releasing for Steam on July 2, that will not ultimately be the case. As games have a tendency to do, it will be delayed, releasing on July 11 instead of the previously announced date.

Folks who are still looking forward to the game are in for a treat. If you pick up the game on launch day, you will get a first-day discount. On top of that, players who own one or more of Two Tribes’ previous games will get loyalty discounts in the form of discount coupons.

The game will be $14.99 USD/EUR, while our English friends will look at a charge of £12,99. It will feature support for Big Picture Mode as well as Steam’s Trading Cards and will be playable on both the Mac and PC.

Doodle Jump Springs onto Xbox Live

Fans of Doodle Jump will be happy to know that you can now jump onto platforms and blast away enemies just by moving your body with D3 Publishers‘ Doodle Jump for Kinect, releasing on June 28 on the Xbox 360 with a plethora of new content and gesture controls.

Developed by Smoking Gun Interactive and Lima Sky, the popular mobile game will stick to the tried and true action of the original game but with a fresh new take. Players can control the Doodler by moving their bodies left and right, shoot nose balls using arm gestures and fly by flapping their arms. New controls aren’t the only thing this edition of the game is bringing to the table, Doodle Jump for Kinect brings exclusive content, including three brand new worlds, boss fights, power ups and of course those famous achievements.

If all those new editions haven’t tempted you to jump into the game, the price may just push you off the edge. Doodle Jump for Kinect will be available for only 400 Microsoft Points when it releases on June 28. Please note that a Kinect camera is required to play. June is almost coming to a close, but we still have time to go over the titles Madman has generously showered us with this month.

A mix of films, documentaries and anime were released so make sure you check out the list below and see if you missed anything!

Honesty Box E02: Sleeping Dogs

So, this week, for the second episode of Honesty Box I’ve turned my attention to Sleeping Dogs; Square Enix‘s much loved Free-Roam Action RPG set in a fictional rendition of present day Hong Kong.

Expect more of the same in terms of what occurred in last week’s episode but with the introduction of choice game play footage. Topics discussed include the random variety of invisible walls, car doors, basic physics, self-loathing and carjacking like a gent.

Next week I’ll be exploring Max Payne 3, which should be interesting as I’ve already had a great deal of fun amassing in-game footage…

Pro Cycling Manager 2013 Crosses Finish Line to PC

With the Tour de France just around the corner to begin on June 29th, now is the perfect time for developer Cyanide Studio and publisher Focus Home Interactive to release their annual Pro Cycling Manager. This year’s game, Pro Cycling Manager 2013 – Tour de France 100th Edition, pays homage to the famed race as it celebrates its 100th running since it began 110 years ago.

In addition to Pro Cycling Manager 2013 releasing onto PC today, the console version, Tour de France 100th Edition, is also releasing today for Xbox 360 and PS3 at European retail stores and download for PSN around the world (US PSN on July 2nd). A launch trailer has also been released to show off the cyclists in action at several of the different locations during the Tour de France, such as the Alpes d’Huez and Champs-Elysées at night.

Players can watch it for themselves by checking out the launch trailer embedded below or find more information from the official website that launched last month. Those wanting to check out the console version can find it at Europe retailers, while those wanting to play the PC version can also find it download it from the Official Site or Steam.
