Extreme Reality Launches “Dancewall Remix” As A Unique Motion Controlled Windows Game On Steam Greenlight

Game Brings the Motion Experiences Previously Available Only via Consoles and Specialized Hardware to Anyone with a Windows Computer and Webcam

“DanceWall, originally created by SoftKinetic Studios and I feel Smart, has been a huge hit as a multi-player game allowing 3D full body movement to control the game,” said Eric Krzeslo, Founder and CMO of SoftKinetic.  “Extreme Reality successfully adapted the experience for regular webcams on the Windows platform, bringing motion controlled gaming fun to an even broader public.”

DanceWall Remix,is a rhythm and pose matching game controlled by a player’s body movements. Using the standard 2D camera that exists in most computers today, players can control movement of their in game avatar as they aim to reach their goal to earn the highest score by making the best possible fit with these onscreen silhouettes, picking up bonuses, and avoiding obstacles. The physical gameplay is immediately intuitive and does not require any previous experience with video games to quickly enjoy the fun.

DanceWall Remix is divided into three themes, Disco, Classic and Retro. Each theme has a distinct look and style of play based on the music. Retro is an 8Bit inspired synthetic world of Electronic music. Classic is a “Bubblegum-Pop” world where everything is soft and cute, and Disco is thematic of a 70’s nightclub.

Steam Greenlight is a community-driven platform where users vote to determine which new games are to be released on Steam, the world’s largest online gaming platform with 35 million active users in 237 countries.

Sandbox Action RPG Set to Go Medieval on PC and Next-Gen Systems in 2015

Prague, Czech Republic – December 19, 2013 – Nearly 18 months after its inception, independent, Czech, video game development house Warhorse Studios today announced details of its debut title, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Coming to PC and next-gen consoles in 2015, the game is an open world, action-adventure, role-playing game featuring blockbuster production values, a nonlinear story and revolutionary, first-person melee combat.

Leveraging decades of combined experience in AAA game development, including titles in the Mafia, Crysis, ArmA and Operation Flashpoint franchises, the creative talent powering Warhorse Studios is well-versed in pushing the boundaries of RPG storytelling in sprawling, immersive environments. “The team’s ambition for Kingdom Come: Deliverance is growing this ever-maturing sandbox genre in a believable, real-world context and scope,” remarked studio Creative Director Dan Vávra. “To that end, we’re harnessing CryENGINE®3, nonlinear narrative, varied freedom in character progression, and a consequence-laden living world in ways that have never been possible until now.”

Rooted within the Holy Roman Empire during the late Middle Ages, Kingdom Come: Deliverance promises a first-person seat to a harsh and brutal power struggle for the throne. As players traverse expansive, strikingly detailed locales, they’ll grapple with a range of period-accurate fighting techniques, horseback combat, open-field sieges, and large-scale battles, all while developing relationships and a reputation that will inform the greater story. Kingdom Come: Deliverance promises no magic, high fantasy or mythical overtones – it draws its inspiration instead from historically authentic characters, themes, and warfare.

Next-gen power of Sniper Elite 3 revealed in second trailer – ‘Tobruk’

Next-gen power of Sniper Elite 3 revealed in second trailer – ‘Tobruk’

Rebellion and today released new assets for 2014 PC and console title, Sniper Elite 3.

The trailer can be viewed here:

Set three years before the events of the award-winning Sniper Elite V2, the trailer highlights not only the game’s unique and compelling World War II location, but gives subtle hints at the stunning next-gen technology behind the visual and gameplay experiences in this ambitious cross-platform title.

Following OSS agent and elite sniper Karl Fairburne amidst the terrifying bombardment of the ancient city of Tobruk in Libya, the trailer introduces viewers to a crucial snapshot of the wider conflict in which Sniper Elite 3 immerses its players.

Long before the blood-soaked beaches of Normandy, it was in the unforgiving terrain of the Western Desert in North Africa that the Allies fought and died together – America’s very FIRST taste of armed conflict with Axis powers.

Shot entirely in Rebellion’s powerful and versatile Asura game engine, the trailer also demonstrates key developments to the franchise made possible by the power of today’s consoles and hi-spec PCs.

From the huge vistas and breathtaking level design, right down to the minute focus of the overhauled X-ray ‘kill camera’ detailing muscle layers and circulatory systems, the trailer showcases advanced graphical features such as volumetric lighting, cinematic full-screen effects and real-time tessellation.

The new assets also illustrate how such technology powers the significant enhancements made to the series’ trademark gameplay, challenging stealth action and rewarding bullet physics.

From the scalable battlefields powered by instancing technology and packed with multiple routes and advanced AI, to the broad range of terrain, and realistic HDR lighting that empowers players to use the shadows to approach each deadly shot exactly as they see fit, this trailer gives an exciting glimpse of Sniper Elite 3’s focus on tactical choice, blended with thrilling moment-to-moment decision making and gun-play.

Sniper Elite 3 launches in 2014 on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

New Community Q&A Video Released for Stronghold Crusader 2

New Community Q&A Video Released for Stronghold Crusader 2

London, UK 19th December 2013 – A new community Q&A video has just been released for Stronghold Crusader 2, answering questions put to the developers over the past weeks and months. The sequel to the 2002 cult classic Stronghold Crusader, Crusader 2 is set for release early next year, making this an ideal time to talk release date, classic Crusader 1 features, possible ports and more:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BkR8Fh-Ahc

This sixth release in Firefly’s series of question and answer videos was made possible by the developer’s recent move to self-publishing. Over the course of the past six months Firefly has been open and transparent with players, resulting in much better player-developer relations. Why did Firefly opt for 3D over 2D? When will new screenshots be released? Why is the game built around Steam? What features and characters will return from Crusader 1? The freedom of self-publishing has allowed Firefly to be completely honest with fans of the franchise, something that is refreshing for both parties.

Scheduled for release in Spring 2014, Stronghold Crusader 2 will be digitally self-published by Firefly Studios. A public beta is also planned to be held in the months leading up to release, with full details to be announced at the start of 2014.
