Quick! Say a character you want to play as in the next Smash Bros. game! I bet none of you said that you would just love to play as the Wii Fit Trainer girl but if one of you did then give yourself a nice pat on the back because somehow you managed to get your wish.

Today during E3 Nintendo revealed that they have added the Wii Fit Trainer into Super Smash Bros. as a playable character and have released a new video showing off her skills which you can see below. Earlier today we saw the addition of Mega Man and Animal Crossing Villager to the roster, so it’ll be interesting to see who else will join the fight this time since it seems like nothing is off limits.

We’ve already seen some of the first gameplay footage of Bayonetta 2 in quite some time earlier today and now Nintendo and PlatinumGames have just given us a new piece of information. While they would not elaborate on the announcement, these two companies have revealed at E3 that Bayonetta 2 will feature a two player mode of some kind.

It was not said if it will be a versus mode or co-op but it was said that new combat features and mid-air battles have been included. Players will even be able to summon creatures to fight alongside them using what they are calling the Umbran Climax. Expect more details as they become available.

Welcome to another episode of CC Indie Spotlight with Senior Editor Jamie Laike Tsui where we demo the latest and greatest of indie gaming.

Today’s episode features Lune from six young developers from a French university specializing in interactive media. The game is a meditative adventure that the developers say is “about reflection and solitude.” Players will control both a hero and the moon to solve puzzles. The moon’s position in the sky affects the lights and shadows in the world while its distance affects the level of gravity.

Last night during Sony’s E3 press conference Square Enix announced that they would be bringing Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to the PlayStation 4 as well and though no release date was given at the time, the company has now stated it will come out sometime in 2014.

Besides not narrowing the release window margin in the slightest, it was also announced that anyone who plays the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn before the PS4 version comes out will be able to “smoothly transition” their accounts and characters over to the newer version of the game. Considering the PS3 and PC versions of the game come out on August 27th, this is great news for those looking to upgrade.

Besides this news the company also released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn which can be checked out below.

The Witcher 3, in development from CD Projekt Red, was recently mentioned in Microsoft’s E3 2013 event. It has already received some love in the form of its first developer diary video.

The developer diary features the faces of senior writer Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewcz, gameplay producer Marek Ziemak, and environment artist Jonas Mattsson, each presenting some riveting reasons to look forward to the upcoming title.

Comments made in the video claim the game will be set in “turbulent times”, and in a “vast, wondrous open world.” Accompanied by gameplay footage, he also claims the world will be visually stunning, and that you’ll be able to do everything from climbing mountains and cliffs to sailing a boat through treacherous waters that threaten to crush you.

The boldest claim, though, is Borys’s claim that The Witcher 3 will be “an RPG fan’s dream come true.”

Be sure to check out our recent interview with some of the fine folks at CD Projekt Red. For more on The Witcher 3, be sure to check out the entire developer diary video below this article.

Crimson Dragon uses controller and Kinect

Crimson-Dragon_2013_06-10-13_001

Yesterday Microsoft re-revealed Crimson Dragon at their E3 press conference after keeping the Xbox 360 Kinect game under wraps for so long that most people had forgotten about it and when they did so, it was now an Xbox One exclusive. At the time it wasn’t mentioned whether or not the game would still be a Kinect only title and now it has been discovered that it will no longer be a Kinect only game.

Instead the game will now allow players to use the controller to play it while the Kinect can still be used for gesture controls, but given the accuracy of the original Kinect, this will likely please many fans who have been looking forward to this game since it was called Project Draco.

Alongside releasing a new trailer for each game, the company has announced via a press release that both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on the Xbox One as well as the PlayStation 4, meaning that those who choose to stay with Microsoft this generation won’t be missing out on these two long awaited games.

Magus announced for release by Aksys Games

magus

Earlier today Aksys Games gave all of their fans a nice treat at E3 by announcing that they would be bringing Blazblue: Chrono Phantasma over to North America but they weren’t done yet. The company also announced today that they are going to be bringing a game called Magus, which was co-developed with Black Tower, out as well.

Magus is described as an action RPG and players take control of Magus, a man who has been imprisoned in a tower and tortured for an unknown crime. However when a new prisoner named Kinna arrives and aids in his escape the two begin a journey to discover the true nature of Magus’ chroma magic, which is the ability to absorb power from colors and use them in deadly attacks. An E3 trailer was promised and will likely be released eventually and at the moment no platforms have been announced.
