middle-of-nowhere-stitches

Indie developers VisionArts, led by Aaron Wilde and Maria Hansson, booted up their Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming horror game Middle of Nowhere. The game is a first person survival horror title that throws back to the terrifying era of PlayStation 1 horror that included Resident Evil 1 and Dino Crisis. Middle of Nowhere emphasizes survival and exploration as players will need to manage a limited and expensive supply of ammunition as they avoid the deadly and horrifying locals.

To introduce players to Middle of Nowhere, VisionArts has released a short demo featuring a small test level that will send players on a short quest to collect four pieces of a broken bridge. The download is available for free on the Kickstarter page. Middle of Nowhere will be released for for Windows PC in May 2014. Be sure to also check out the game’s Steam Greenlight page.

The Evil Within Shows Extended Gameplay in New 12 Minute Video

The Evil Within is one of the hot new IPs that is coming for both current and next generation consoles, but as good as it looks the information on the game has been somewhat limited with a scant few trailers and just a bit of gameplay revealed so far. But, in an effort to show off even more of the gameplay, publisher Bethesda and developer Tango Gameworks have just put up a brand new 12 minute video.

While the video doesn’t go so far as to spoil too much of The Evil Within by showing off 12 straight minutes, the video does jump around to give a nice idea as to how the game will play. Split into two part, the video covers a little bit of two chapters the Prologue and Perth House to provide more than just a single area of the game. While a little disjointed to show as much as they can, the video does give a good idea of what can be expected when the game finally releases.

Those wanting to watch the gameplay video for themselves can find it embedded below. The Evil Within is currently set to release sometime next year for Xbox 360PS3Xbox OnePS4, and PC.

Deadfall Adventures Shows off CGI Visuals in New Trailer

Deadfall-Adventures-CGI-Trailer-1

It isn’t “commonplace” for games to set their scene using a flaming biplane crashing like a phoenix into an Aztec temple, unleashing an ancient curse, but Deadfall Adventures clearly doesn’t seem like a game that could be described as run-of-the-mill. A new trailer for Nordic Games and The Farm 51‘s latest game for the PC and Xbox 360, Deadfall Adventures, was released today and it certainly isn’t messing around, plunging you straight into the depths of an old Aztec tomb right in the heart of the Mexican jungle.

Deadfall-Adventures-CGI-Trailer-2

When the trailer started, I was unimpressed by the lack of detail that had gone into the Aztec tombs, but as it went on the action just kept on mounting and the visuals became more and more spectacular. From the sheer detailing that went into the light effects on a lone spider-web, to the evil glow of Aztec monster himself, everything looks fantastic.

Sims-3-Mignight-Hollow-01

A new world is available for you to explore in EA‘s The Sims 3, although it’s not for the faint of heart. Midnight Hollow is the latest expansion after the recently released Movie Stuff, and it is spooky!

Tucked away within the forest lies the town of Midnight Hollow…sounds like the perfect vacation destination if you ask me. Entrepreneurial souls can open up businesses in the haunting locale, and may just come across a familiar face in Olive Specter – a popular resident which fans will remember from The Sims 2. You can also expect new Sims, décor and added gameplay with the Savvy Seller’s Collection.
