Free Gravity Rush 2 DLC Announced for March 2017

Sony has announced that they will be releasing some free DLC for Gravity Rush 2. This DLC is called Gravity Rush 2 Another Story: The Ark of Time – Raven’s Choice and puts players in control of Raven for the very first time. Releasing in March 2017 this content will follow the story of Raven who must battle alone to save the Lost Children who have been left trapped inside the Ark at the end of the first game.

You can check out some screenshots as well as the announcement trailer for the DLC below while the full game of Gravity Rush 2 will be released on January 18 in Europe, January 19 in Japan, and January 20 in North America.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom to be Released in 2017

Last year Bandai Namco announced that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was in development and now during PlayStation Experience 2017 the company revealed that they are aiming to have the title released sometime in 2017 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. To go along with this announcement the company released a new English trailer, found below, to show off the protagonist Evan and his quest to rebuild the kingdom that he lost and explore the land while meeting many new friends and enemies.

A handful of new screenshots for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom were also released and you can check them out below.

NieR: Automata Arrives in the West on March 7th

Durng PlayStation Experience Square Enix released a new trailer for NieR: Automata and while the video gives us a great, albeit brief, look at the game’s combat it also reveals one important detail that fans in most of the world have been wondering about, just when exactly the game would be released in the West.

Thanks to this latest trailer we now know that NieR: Automata will be released on March 7, 2017 only a couple weeks after the Japanese release of the game. Those who pre-order the game will be given the “Day One” edition that will include a reversible cover and some DLC. Those who feel like spending a bit more can also opt for the Black Box Edition that is priced at $189.99 and will include all of the day one bonuses, a soundtrack CD, an art book, a steel case, and a YoRHa ‘2B’ figure.

Street Fighter V Brings Akuma to the Roster on December 20

About a month ago Capcom revealed that Akuma would be heading to Street Fighter V and now we know exactly when to expect this fan favorite fighter. During the PlayStation Experience keynote event Capcom announced that Akuma will be released on December 20th as the very first character in the 2017 Character Pass. The pass will cost $29.99 and will give players access to Akuma as well as five other fighters that will be released throughout the year. This pass also gives buyers Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 already unlocked, default costumes colored 3-10 for each of these characters, and a special PlayStation 4 theme.

Resident Evil 7: biohazard Demo Updated to ‘Midnight’, New Video Released

Capcom has released another new trailer for Resident Evil 7: biohazard during the PlayStation Experience and alongside this new video, that you can find below, they also had some news regarding the game’s demo. A new update called the “Midnight” update has been released for the PlayStation 4 and it will be able to support those who have the PlayStation VR but if you happen to be an Xbox One or PC user, you won’t be left out this time.

The demo will arrive on Xbox One on December 9th while the PC version will be released on December 19th. Currently Resident Evil 7: biohazard is set to be released January 24, 2017 in North America and Europe.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2017

An announcement that many thought was impossible has happened today at PlayStation Experience. I’m speaking about the announcement of a brand new Marvel vs. Capcom game and that is indeed what Capcom had to reveal today on stage. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as it will be called will be arriving in late 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and the title will once again bring together characters from various Marvel and Capcom franchises to battle against one another in free form 2v2 team battles. Players will be able to choose one of six powerful Infinity Stones from the Marvel Universe to influence the outcome of battle. Each Infinity Stone will customize characters with unique abilities and powerful game-changing effects that can quickly turn the tide of battle.

So far the characters revealed so far are Captain Marvel and Iron Man from the Marvel side of things as well as Ryu and Mega Man X from Capcom with more characters being revealed in the future. To go along with this announcement the company released a special trailer below. That isn’t all the news that the company had for fighting game fans though as the company also announced that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be releasing on the Xbox One and PC in March 2017 and as for PlayStation 4 users, it is already available for download an exclusive early launch.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Heads West in 2017

We’ve been hearing about New Danganronpa V3 from Spike Chunsoft for a bit now and it seems that NIS America isn’t about to sit on their laurels when it comes to localizing this new story. The company has announced during the PlayStation Experience keynote that they will be localizing the game under the name Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony and are planning on releasing it on the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in North America and Europe sometime in 2017. The title will have English and Japanese voice tracks and the option for English and French text.

NIS America describes the story of the game as being set in a “psycho-cool” environment, anew cast of 16 characters find themselves kidnapped and imprisoned in a school with a whole new cast of characters that marks a brand new beginning for the series.

Persona 5 English Story Trailer

Atlus had a new story trailer for Persona 5 fans out there and the debuted it at PlayStation Experience. After having his life ruined, the main protagonist of the game must start anew as the newest transfer high-school student at Tokyo’s Shujin Academy. However, he’ll soon discover that he has the ability to enter the hearts of people and force them to confront their true selves irregardless of whether or not this is for the better or worse.

With his new powers, the protagonist and his group of outcast friends form the Phantom Thieves of Hearts to help unmask the ills of society. The company also announced that those who pre-order the game from the PlayStation Store will be given a special theme and avatar set as well as the Izanagi from Persona 4 as a summonable Persona.

Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 6 Announced for Western Release

Sega had some great news for their Yakuza fans during the PlayStation Experience event. The company announced that they are doubling down on the series by bringing the franchise’s latest two entries to the West. While we already knew that Yakuza 0 is coming out early next year, many were wondering what would happen with Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 6 but they no longer have to wonder.

At the aforementioned event Sega announced that both Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the original Yakuza game with additional content for the PlayStation 4, and Yakuza 6 will be released in the West. The company has stated that they are aiming for a summer 2017 release for Yakuza Kiwami while Yakuza 6: The Song of Life as it will be called will be sometime in early 2018 and better yet, both titles have been confirmed for retail and digital release.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Revealed for the PlayStation 4

During PlayStation Experience 2016 Naughty Dog and Sony announced that they were going to be bringing out a new game in the Uncharted series. Titled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy the game was originally developed as a piece of downloadable content for Uncharted 4 but along the way the developers decided that it needed to be expanded into a full standalone story in the same universe.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will follow the story of the fan-favorite character Chloe Frazer who, in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact must enlist the aid of the renowned mercenary Nadine Ross as the two venture into the mountains of India to track down said artifact.
