An announcement that many thought was impossible has happened today at PlayStation Experience. I’m speaking about the announcement of a brand new Marvel vs. Capcom game and that is indeed what Capcom had to reveal today on stage. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite as it will be called will be arriving in late 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and the title will once again bring together characters from various Marvel and Capcom franchises to battle against one another in free form 2v2 team battles. Players will be able to choose one of six powerful Infinity Stones from the Marvel Universe to influence the outcome of battle. Each Infinity Stone will customize characters with unique abilities and powerful game-changing effects that can quickly turn the tide of battle.

So far the characters revealed so far are Captain Marvel and Iron Man from the Marvel side of things as well as Ryu and Mega Man X from Capcom with more characters being revealed in the future. To go along with this announcement the company released a special trailer below. That isn’t all the news that the company had for fighting game fans though as the company also announced that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be releasing on the Xbox One and PC in March 2017 and as for PlayStation 4 users, it is already available for download an exclusive early launch.
