Just last week more information was unveiled about upcoming The Sims 3 Island Paradise expansion pack HERE, but now EA has revealed even more in a Live Broadcast about what players can be expecting from The Sims 3 Franchise for the rest of the year. It seems like the expansion pack wont be the only thing avid players can look forward to as a new stuff pack and world were announced.

The Sims 3 Movie Stuff includes all the objects film fans and genre fans could hope for with a variety of themes such as classic Western and horror. The stuff pack will include furniture, decorations, and clothing to add to players’ collections in designing the perfect house. While the new world to be added to The Sims Store, Origin, and retail locations is The Sims 3 Dragon Valley. With new locations for Sims to visit, new objects and clothing for the Sims, and even new Sims themselves, Dragon Valley brings plenty of additional things, but none of which can hold a candle to the baby dragon it will also add.

Players that want to see the The Sims 3 Live Broadcast to get a look at all the upcoming releases this year can watch the archived video HERE. While The Sims 3 Island Paradise will be releasing at the end of June and the Movie Stuff will be releasing in September, the release date for Dragon Valley has yet to be announced. $50 Million Western World Developers Fund to let Kabam help Asian Developers

kabam-logo

What does a company like Kabam do after finding huge success through free to play iOS, Android, and web games? Kill some time with PartyBingo, perhaps? How about create a fund to help Asian developers get into the Western market. That is exactly what Kabam did with the Western World Developers Fund. But they aren’t funding just a little bit of cash to help out a little, the fund is a total of $50 million to ensure that Asian developers are able to not only localize their games, but market them as well.

Kabam has seen some pretty good times with seven games pulling in more than $1 million dollars a month, another two games with $3 million a month, and still two more games with $7 million a month. With titles like Kingdoms of Camelot and Wartune know what they are doing, so now they hope to help developers in China, Japan, and South Korea to get their top games to reach the West.

The WWDevFund will hopefully present Asian third-party game developers the opportunity to increase (possibly double) their existing incomes by allowing them to partake in Kabam’s marketing know-how which has completely revolutionized the industry. These tactics will aid the best Asian game developers in breaking into the west market, opening them up to more publicity as well as revenue.

One thing is for certain, the Asian gaming world is definitely not doing anything wrong since some of the best games to hit the gaming community were spawned by Asian developers. The only reason those games never make a splash elsewhere is because Asian developers struggle to penetrate the western market. Hopefully, with the Western World Developers Fund in place we’ll be able to enjoy a host of popular Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean games in North America and Europe soon enough.

Majora’s Mask 3D Remake Possibly Leaked

majoras-mask-3d-leak-01

With a Nintendo Direct scheduled for tonight, it appears one of the big announcements may have been leaked early. Spanish website Xtralife has listed Majora’s Mask 3D for sale on the website and has also noted a November 8th release date. You can see the listing for yourself by following the link and refreshing the page to try and get the recommended titles at the bottom to show the box art. Clicking the box art will just reload the page however.

Now this is only a rumour but this website does have some credibility associated with it. Xtralife first revealed the 32GB Google Nexus 7 3 weeks before its official announcement. Donkey Kong  Country Returns 3D was also leaked in a similar manner. There is also a Nintendo Direct tonight that is promising a big 3DS announcement and the release date of November 8th is common to the time Zelda titles typically release.

Majora’s Mask 3D has been wanted by fans ever since the Ocarina of Time remake also appeared on the system. If this rumour proves true it would only add to the strong line up of titles appearing on the 3DS. Are you hoping the rumour proves true ? We won’t have to wait long too find out as the Nintendo Direct scheduled tonight should clear up any rumours.

Defiance Gets New Gameplay Narrative Trailer

defiance-screenshot-06

Defiance, which we’ve covered with a review,  CC Impact! episodes, and even our podcast, is a futuristic online shooter created by Trion Worlds. The game was created in conjunction with a television show of the same name on the Syfy channel, which debuted in America last night (and Australia the 18th).

With the premiere of the television show yesterday, players can now continue the in-game narrative that takes place in the in-game Episode missions. Players will take on the role of an Ark Hunter and, if they choose, experience the ongoing crossover episodes and missions that weave the television series into the video game.

In a gameplay narrative video released today, we get a little more background on how the world came to be as it is and to show how the world may change in the coming weeks and months.

For more info, be sure to check out the video below this article, check out the show on the Syfy channel, and read all of our coverage here on Capsule Computers!

Three Tomb Raider DLC costumes leaked

tomb-raider-modern-archer-costume

When Crystal Dynamics said that they weren’t planning on releasing any single player DLC for Tomb Raider, well they never specified that they wouldn’t be releasing “costumes” in some form did they? Anyways, courtesy of All Games Beta we have three images of the new costumes players will be able to buy for Lara sometime soon. Then again… these are probably some of the lamest costumes I’ve ever seen.

The three costumes will be put on sale for an unknown price sometime in the future and those who buy it will be able to dress Lara up in outfits ranging from orange jacket, grey jacket and a custodian’s jumpsuit… yay…. I guess when a game’s “poor” sales force a CEO to resign, the best thing for the game is some dull costumes.

Metro: Last Light’s survival trailer teaches us about the threats of the world

metro-last-light-survival-guide-2

Today Deep Silver released a new trailer for their upcoming game Metro: Last Light. In this trailer we are presented with various tactics that will help us survive the danger filled tunnels of the post-apocalyptic world that is Metro.

It seems that using stealth may be an essential for some of the more difficult encounters in the game, but thankfully there are plenty of ways to eliminate the lights in an area and use the darkness to your advantage. Anyways, check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for Metro: Last Light when it is released on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 14th in North America and May 17th everywhere else.

Neverwinter Online – Rothé Valley Lore Trailer

0

Neverwinter-Rothe-Valley-Screenshot-02

This previous weekend marked the final closed beta event as the game’s founders tested a nearly finished version of the title. With April 30th nearing for the open beta, Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment are happy to release a lore trailer concerning a peculiar sector of Faerûn – Rothé Valley. Once occupied by peaceful farmers, an upsurgence of dark elves quickly defiled the land’s serene nature. None other than the House Xorlarrin is responsible for this undoing as innocents are either made into slaves or given as sacrifices to the their vile goddess Lloth.

Neverwinter Lore: House Xorlarrin is the same drow house that initiated the capture of Gauntlgrym – the ancient dwarven complex that houses the primordial forge. Perhaps the inclusion of House Xorlarrin in Neverwinter Online will provide a deeper adventure in the recently overrun dwarven stronghold.

Check out the trailer below to see some interesting visuals and future battles to come! Also feel free to look at other Neverwinter trailers such as The Devoted Cleric and The Great Weapon Fighter.
