Survival Horror RPG GRAFT Debuts Story Trailer During Convergence Games Showcase 2026

This first-ever look at the game’s story also includes more gameplay elements amidst the horrors of the space station.

[July 17, 2026] – From the makers of the Shadowrun Trilogy comes GRAFT, a survival horror RPG where you find yourself battling the terrors of a dying megastructure known as the Arc. During the Convergence Games Showcase, a new trailer for GRAFT revealed our first look at the game’s story. Tormenting visions, a caring voice, and the uncertainty of a body becoming a weapon set the stage for a nightmarish trek through the Arc. Check out the trailer below!

Key Features:

  • Delve Into a Haunting World: The Arc is packed with powerful and unsettling wonders, if only you can live long enough to extract them. Master forgotten technologies and unearth secrets as you traverse yawning chasms, self replicating labyrinths, and techno-catacombs in search of a way out.
  • A Dark RPG Story: You are not the only survivor in the desolation. Form fragile alliances and build them into deeper relationships. Of course, anyone still living is likely both dangerous and treacherous, and that includes you. The choices you make will shape your journey and decide the fates of those you meet.
  • Tense Survival Horror Combat: Ancient feral experiments, strange abominations, and ruthless agents of a mad AI stalk you. Use the tools in your growing arsenal as you fight through the horrors in a visceral new twist on classic survival horror combat. You will need to pick your battles and manage your resources carefully in order to escape the Arc alive.
  • Transform to Survive: Your changing body is your most powerful weapon. Augment it with Grafts and build out your abilities according to your own strategies. Each Graft you rip from a fallen foe or find hidden in the recesses of the Arc is one more deadly tool in your expanding arsenal.
  • A Metamorphosis of Self: With each Graft, strange cravings and half-glimpsed memories flood your system. Now you remember the hot breath of a lover you never touched. Now you find yourself suddenly obsessing over cruel and sadistic impulses. You must choose what each of these fragments means to you, and you must live with the consequences of each choice.

Get ready to change your body into a weapon of survival when you wishlist GRAFT now on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Then be sure to follow the team at Harebrained on X to stay up to date on the upcoming survival horror RPG!

The release rides a breakout Open Beta. During Steam Next Fest, Mistfall Hunter pulled in nearly 430,000 players and landed on both Steam’s Top Demos and Top Trending Upcoming charts.

Every run is a high-stakes hunt. Drop into a cursed, mist-shrouded world, claim your loot, and extract with your life, or lose it all to rival hunters and the horrors waiting in the fog. PvPvE is the core of it: the threat of other players is what makes every extraction matter.

About Mistfall Hunter

The gods are dead, and the Gyldenmist is devouring the world. Revived by a mysterious girl named Dew, you awaken as a Gyldhunter sent into a bleak, forbidden realm to gather precious Gyldenblod and repair the broken Web of Fate.

That realm is the hunt. Mistfall Hunter drops you into a mist-choked world of corroded horrors, forgotten relics, and rival Gyldhunters, all fighting over the same spoils. Every run is a deadly gamble: loot deep, survive the fog, and ring the bell to extract with your haul because death strips you of everything you were carrying. Secure the loot, or risk it all for more.

Gameplay features:

  • Hunt solo or in a three-player squad: fight back-to-back to bring down towering monstrosities and outmaneuver rival hunting parties.
  • Magic and steel: choose from six distinctive classes, then switch weapons mid-battle to counter whatever the mist sends at you.
  • A battlefield that never sits still: each season reshapes the world with new content from fresh classes, forbidden arcana to uncharted zones, and ancient relics.
  • Skill over spending: no pay-to-win, no purchasable stat boosts. Every victory is earned in blood.

Vanguard Exiles, Designed by Magic: The Gathering Creator Richard Garfield, Launches Version 1.0 February 4, 2027

The community-driven strategic auto-battler leaves Early Access with Campaign Mode, progression systems, competitive rankings, and a roadmap of future Factions, Biomes, and content updates

Brisbane, Australia – July 17, 2026 – Independent Australian developer The Tea Division is proud to announce that Vanguard Exiles, the strategic auto-battler designed in collaboration with Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering, will officially launch into 1.0 on Steam on February 4, 2027.

Watch the official Vanguard Exiles gameplay trailer:

First introduced through a public demo in August 2024 before entering Early Access in March 2025, Vanguard Exiles has spent nearly two years evolving alongside its community. Version 1.0 represents the culmination of that journey, delivering what the team considers a complete, fully featured experience while laying the foundation for years of future growth.

Blending deep board game strategy with competitive auto-battling, Vanguard Exiles places players in the role of Generals commanding their unique Squads across a constantly shifting battlefield. Set in a war-torn dieselpunk world where magic and machinery collide, the game combines accessible mechanics with remarkable strategic depth, creating an experience that would be impossible to recreate in a traditional tabletop format. Digital systems enable endless strategic possibilities, evolving battlefields, and emergent interactions.

The 1.0 launch will introduce the long-awaited Campaign Mode, allowing players to explore Vanguard Exiles‘ world, uncover its lore, and experience a structured single-player alongside the game’s competitive multiplayer offerings. Version 1.0 also introduces progression systems, achievements, rankings, player milestones, unlockable content, and a complete player lifecycle designed to support both casual and competitive audiences. But for The Tea Division, it certainly doesn’t end there.

“Vanguard Exiles is the deepest, most exciting project I’ve been a part of in my over 25 years in the games industry. It’s a sprawling labyrinth of tactical depth that offers endless possibilities,” said Mark Rowley, Director at The Tea Division. “I’ve been blown away by the creative strategies our players have come up with and have been eagerly awaiting this launch so I can watch everyone learn from each other and test out tactics I never would have thought of. That’s why we added Spectator Mode, so players can learn just by watching.”

While the February launch marks Vanguard Exiles’ transition out of Early Access, The Tea Division emphasizes that it is only the beginning of the game’s journey.

The systems being implemented for Version 1.0 have been designed to support future expansion, including new factions, units, actions, biomes, progression opportunities, and ongoing balance updates. The studio intends to continue developing Vanguard Exiles in collaboration with its community, maintaining the player-focused approach that has guided the project throughout Early Access.

Players can wishlist or purchase the Early Access version of Vanguard Exiles on Steam today and join the game’s Discord community for regular development updates, exclusive access to experimental builds, and direct access to the development team.

“Vanguard Exiles combines tabletop design with digital design into a unique and eclectic gameplay experience. The variety offered by the game is exciting, and skillful play introduces all sorts of unexpected novelty,” said Richard Garfield, designer of Vanguard Exiles and Magic: The Gathering. “My favorite thing in game design is having an interesting space to explore – like with Magic: The Gathering and Keyforge. Like those games, Vanguard Exiles is deeply interesting, and I am delighted to share it with a broader audience!

By locking in a launch date now, The Tea Division says it is confident in the roadmap to deliver every remaining feature planned for Version 1.0, while ensuring the foundations are in place for future iteration and expansion beyond release.

Vanguard Exiles Version 1.0 launches on Steam on February 4, 2027, marking the beginning of the game’s next chapter.

Key Features

  • Designed in collaboration with Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering
  • Strategic auto-battler blending board game depth with digital-only gameplay possibilities

Permafrost: Release Date For The Frozen Apocalypse Is Moved To October 9, 2026

The gates to the white hell will open with a slight delay to finetune the story-based survival sandbox

Oberhaching, Germany, July 17, 2026 – The open world of Permafrost will challenge the hardcore survival players with its constant sub-zero environments and dangers a little later than originally planned. Development studio SpaceRocket Games and publisher Toplitz Productions push the release of the highly anticipated game from its projected summer release date August 21, 2026 to October 9, 2026.

„We are aware that gamers around the globe are eager to dive into the white hell of Permafrost and experience life in the aftermath of a global catastrophe which covered the whole Earth under a deep blanket of snow, ice and deepfreeze temperatures. And we certainly would have loved to open the doors to Permafrost on the originally scheduled release date.“ comments Sebastian Fleer, COO Toplitz Productions. „However, to satisfy the rightfully high expectations that the gamers, the community and not least ourselves have, we decided to give the development team a little more time to finetune the game from performance to content. Quality is key and when Permafrost finally unleashes its survival sandbox with a slight delay in October, we want to make sure that your fight for survival is a memorable gaming experience from start to finish.“

About the game:

Permafrost is a story-driven survival sandbox set in a frozen, post-apocalyptic world. Discover a vast lore-rich open world, alone or in co-op with up to 4 players. Explore, scavenge, craft, and build a network of shelters to outlast the cold.

  • The Cold is your true enemy!
The cold is alive and ever-present. Frostbite, storms, and creeping chill shape every journey, turning preparation, shelter, and timing into matters of survival.
  • A frozen open world to explore!
Traverse a frozen open world where city ruins fade into wilderness. A tense, grounded survival experience shaped by silence and scarcity – no constant gunfire, no fantasy tropes. Just winter, isolation, and resolve.
  • Exploration-Gated progression!
Progress is earned through exploration and adaptation. Restore abandoned shelters, repair broken machines, and reclaim fragile technology to push deeper into the frozen world.
  • Your Dog as your loyal companion!
Your loyal dog companion stands with you when the cold turns everything else silent. Rescued from the ruins, your dog scouts ahead, warns of danger, carries supplies, and keeps you grounded when the silence gets to be too much.
  • Symbiotic 1-4 player Co-Op Survival!
The cold doesn’t care how many of you there are. Play solo or survive alongside up to 3 friends, building shelter networks, dividing responsibilities, and playing to each other’s strengths. Co-op doesn’t simplify the world; it just means you don’t face the cold alone.

Permafrost will be available on PC in Early Access on Steam, GOG.com and EGS on October 9, 2026. More information can be found on the store pages. Join our official Discord server to get the latest news about Permafrost as well as the other exciting titles from Toplitz Productions.

Wilderdark Unleashes a New Breed of Survival Horror on 3 November

The first-person survival horror adventure of stealth, exploration, and prehistoric terror arrives on PC this November

Dundee, Scotland – 17 July, 2026 – Junkfish is thrilled to announce Wilderdark, its all-new first-person survival horror adventure, is coming to Steam on 3 November, 2026, as revealed on the Convergence showcase last night.

Take a closer look at Wilderdark’s release date announcement trailer here

In Wilderdark, players are sent by the mysterious organisation they work for on a dangerous mission in search of immortality. Their destination is an unnatural island overtaken by a strange ectoparasitic organism that has begun corrupting both dinosaurs and plant life. Players take on the role of a field operative, tasked with documenting the island’s ecosystem, collecting samples, and uncovering the fate of earlier expeditions that never returned, including one led by the protagonist’s own parents.

Survival in Wilderdark is about staying hidden. Stealth is the player’s greatest weapon when navigating dense jungles, abandoned research camps, and parasite-infested ruins while avoiding relentless apex predators that hunt by sight and sound. To uncover the truth, players will need to carefully observe their surroundings, document discoveries through photography, and craft essential tools from whatever they can find.

Players are able to get an early taste of the adventure in the demo available on Steam. In response to community feedback, the demo has recently been updated with a map and waypoint for improved navigation across Wilderdark’s eerie, mystery-shrouded island, alongside numerous quality of life tweaks and bug fixes.

Watch the Goblin Cleanup: Console Announcement Trailer

After customising their cleaning goblins, players enter the each dungeon’s manky maze, mop up gore and viscera, refill its treasure chests, and reset the area ready for the next sword-swinging victims, all while working chaotically collaboratively to avoid falling victim to the many still active traps.

The announcement during the Convergence Showcase follows the release of the Dungeon Daddy update in June, which marked the completion of the game’s first dungeon with its end-stage boss. The doors to the second dungeon opens for early access goblins later this summer, me hearties…

  • Customise your Goblin Maid: What better way to clean up than doing it like a pro? Choose your outfit, gather your Goblin pals and get scrubbing!
  • Clean and tidy: It’s your job to clean up the mess, so clean it up you shall! Use your Slimop, mimic, and slime dispenser tool to help you remove all that blood from the floor and ceiling!
  • Restore Objects: To ensure the dungeon returns to its original state, you must restore objects and place them back in their original positions.
  • Restore Traps: What kind of dungeon would it be without traps? You’ll need to restore and reactivate them. But beware, there might be active traps that weren’t triggered by hapless adventurers.
  • Respawn Creatures: You’ll also need to respawn creatures and dispose of their remains. Just keep an eye out for some creatures that may not have perished.
