Disney Infinity Gets A New Toybox Adventures Trailer

Disney Infinity launches next month, and if you aren’t excited for it then the child inside you may well and truly be dead. Collecting characters and locations from across all of Disney media, putting them together in one game and then giving the player the complete freedom to do whatever they want is well and truly a recipe for an infinite amount of fun.

The crowning jewel of Disney Infinity is shaping up to be its Toy Box Mode. In this mode, you can collect pieces of scenery and characters to create your own playgrounds. Not only that, but you can go as in-depth as you want and even create your own mini-games or full fledged adventures that you can play with your friends.

Today, Disney released the latest trailer for Disney Infinity and it showcases the Toy Box Adventures. Toy Box Adventures are unlocked whenever you place a character onto the “Infinity Base” and transport them into the game world. You are then able to play through an adventure specifically created for that character, which takes inspiration from their films and gives players an opportunity to see their strengths, weaknesses and special abilities.

Just Dance Celebrates 6 Million Fans with Trivia Game

6 million likes on Facebook is a lot of fans and a big milestone for any franchise. Ubisoft is celebrating Just Dance‘s major achievement by releasing an infographic and the Soundless Quiz on Facebook and the franchise’s official website. Just Dance fans’ knowledge of the long running dance series will be challenged.

The quiz will show specific dance moves performed by Just Dance coaches without the accompanying music. Fans will need to correctly guess the song as quickly as possible to help revel 10 tracks from the upcoming Just Dance 2014 game.

Just Dance 2014 will be released for Wii U, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on October 1st. The game will also be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on release.

These New Grand Theft Auto V Details are for the Dogs

With the recent gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto V recently making an appearance, fans of the game are already buzzing about the next big release from Rockstar. Today, new details have been revealed in the newest Famitsu, detailing the animals found within the game.

Players will now be able to take care of their own pooch named Chop, and are able to customize the dog with collars and accessories. Just like real life, if you lose track of or neglect the animal, he can run away – so this pet will be a small responsibility if acquired. Other animals are also to be looming about the city of Los Santos, with 15 different species in all. Yes, this is a small feature, but these little things add up into making one giant final product. September 17th is the date for GTA V, so get ready, as it will soon be time for some serious petcare within one of the most anticipated releases of 2013.

Devil Maker: Tokyo Released on iOS and Android

Beware the devil’s charms

Mobile game company Palmple, in affiliation with SmileGate, have released their newest title Devil Maker: Tokyo for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android. The game itself is a role-playing adventure, featuring traditional turn-based combat and anime-inspired artwork.

Devil Maker takes place in Tokyo of the near future as eternal night has engulfed the city. Devils, once only found in fairytales and nightmares, begin to appear in the streets, coexisting with humans. There are good ones among them, and they are fighting to turn the devils of darkness into devils of light. The good devils need a human to become a hero, tracking down each bad devil’s contract and converting them toward the light.

Choices, choices…

Players must join forces with these good devils and defeat the evil roaming the streets of Tokyo. Players fight with a deck of six cards, chosen from a pool of 500. Levelling up allows players to enhance their cards using the upgrade system which includes merging, skill transfer, recontract and evolution. Each move made is determined by the player’s choice between three cards, with the outcomes ranging from rewarding to perilous. Players can also battle against each other via an Arena mode, or compete to travel the furthest distance in Crystal of the Abyss. It is also possible to help each other out when fighting the Core of Darkness or the boss Devils.

Turn Back the Clock with the Prehistorik Remake

Prehistorik, the old 1991 platform game developed by Titus Interactive for platforms such as DOS and the Atari ST is receiving a remake for the PC and MAC as well as iOS and Android mobile devices.

The remake will be published by Anuman Interactive under the Joystick Replay label and will feature the main character Grag, a prehistoric neanderthal searching for food and fighting against all sorts of crazy enemies.

The remade version of the game will feature:

  • All new original cartoon style graphics with lots of packed in comedy!
  • Funny and challenging enemies and boss battles such as Dino, Poulemouth, Pterostand and more!
  • A bunch of references and winks at video games and movies!
  • Different gameplay including platforming, jet pack riding, pig surfing and more!

Prehistorik will come out first on iOS devices on the 25th of July. No release dates for other versions have been announced yet but Anuman Interactive have promised they will arrive soon after.

Xbox One Sees Bad Crowd Reaction at EVO 2013

EVO 2013 was a pretty big event that occurred over the weekend, one of the largest annual fighting game tournaments. As such, it is generally a good idea for new and upcoming fighting games looking to appeal to the hardcore crowd try to make an appearance and show off their stuff, which is probably why Microsoft, along with Mad Catz and Double Helix, sought to show off the new Xbox One exclusive Killer Instinct.

But, as can be seen from the video below, taken from the live stream, while the crowd seems to be appreciative of the presence Killer Instinct had EVO 2012, at the mere mention of Xbox One, the crowd begins to boo and be generally unpleasant. It seems that despite the reversal of the consoles DRM, the company still has a ways to go in the eyes of some consumers.

FIFA 14 Gets Bale As Cover Star

fifa-14-gareth-bale-coverFIFA 14, the upcoming soccer (or football, depending on where you’re from) game from Electronic Arts, has finally had its UK cover star revealed. The newest entry in the perennial sports franchise will have Gareth Bale joining Lionel Messi as cover stars.

Bale, the Tottenham Hotspur left back, earned his acclaim as a free kick specialist. Electronic Arts are aiming to put some of the 23 year old’s signature moves into FIFA 14.

As you can see by watching the trailer video below this article, Bale suited up in a motion capture suit and threw down a few kicks you’ll be able to experience when the game comes out in September. You can also check out the game’s official website here.

Rovio Tackles Prequels with Angry Birds Star Wars 2

Angry Birds has been a surprise hit taking the entire world by storm with not only the games, but toys and other merchandise as well. With this success, developer Rovio has been able to put out even more games in the series and been able to combine with another one of the world’s biggest brands for Angry Birds Star Wars.

It looks like the Angry Birds train hasn’t run out of steam yet as just announced today will be a new game and sequel to Angry Birds Star Wars, this time focused on the prequel trilogy. Angry Birds Star Wars 2 sees new birds, pigs, and abilities as players play both sides of the conflict. The new trailer released today shows off a bit of the upcoming game, plus as an added surprise, new teleporting powers, called Telepods, are also being added to allow players to choose their line-up and add birds through additional merchandise.

Players can watch the trailer embedded below to see what to expect from the new Telepods and Angry Birds Star Wars 2 when it releases on September 19th, 2013 assumingly for Android and iOS (iPad and iPhone).

WWE 2K14 Announces Ultimate Warrior as Pre-Order Bonus

Ultimate Warrior fans rejoice as his presence will in fact be gracing the upcoming WWE 2K14 from 2K Games. After sorting out the whole cover art aspect it seems, WWE 2K14 will be seeing a pre-order bonus, as is it now the norm, for those that are looking to put down some of their cash before the games release. But, knowing that those looking to pre-order are tried and true fans, the pre-order bonus will be the Ultimate Warrior himself.
