As you may have heard, last week Deep Silver laid out their plans for Metro: Last Light‘s DLC and this week the first DLC for the game was launched, as well as a launch trailer which you can check out below. The Faction Pack is story add-on content and allows players to play through three new single player missions which follow a different faction from the game, including the Red Line, the Reich and the Polis Rangers.
The Faction Pack is relatively cheap as it is going for only $4.99 on the PC and PS3 and 400 MSP on the 360. For major fans of Metro: Last Light, a season pass is available for $14.99 which will save you about $5 if each of the planned DLCs costs the same as the Faction Pack.
Konami want to make sure we don’t forget about their latest entry into the Castlevania franchise, and have today released new screenshots for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. These images show off Dracula and many other characters within the game, such as Satan – the game’s main antagonist.
This is the final installment in the Lords of Shadow series, and it is shaping up to be quite the finale. Check out the screenshots below, and stay tuned for even more coverage as we head into the winter release date window.
Dragon’s Crown has been turning heads for a while now, and while we are still anticipating Vanillaware‘s stunning 2D title, there is more good news on the horizon. This fall, Atlus will be bringing the title to Europe, and launch the game on the Playstation 3 and PS Vita.
This is fantastic news considering the many titles the region loses out on every year, and one release that should be turning heads when it comes to the same platforms in North America on August 3rd. Stay tuned, as a review won’t be too far away and we will be sure to let you know how this little gem plays out.
Strider is making the jump to modern game platforms, as suspected, courtesy of Capcom. The new sidescroller, featuring the Cypher-wielding ninja Hiryu, is due for release in early 2014 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Check out the announcement trailer and gameplay footage below.
Strider was originally a 1989 side-scrolling platform game released for the CP System arcade machine by Capcom. It was a huge hit before Street Fighter II came along, and was praised for its innovative gameplay, unique music and multilingual voice clips during cutscenes.

Sony has confirmed the August PS Plus line-up for subscribers in Australia, which includes Need for Speed Most Wanted, Mafia II, Spec Ops: the Line and NBA2K12 for PS3 as well as LEGO LOTR and When Vikings Attack for the PS Vita.
Need For Speed Most Wanted uses an open world platform where you run from police, race friends and challenge rivals all the while finding hiding spots, hitting jumps and unlocking new vehicles.
Mafia II is a GTA style gangster story title but with iconic mafia lore, a historical setting and gritty realism.
Spec Ops: the Line is set in a devastated Dubai where players take the role of a U.S. army captain and his squad as they infiltrate the treacherous region.
NBA2K12 is arguably the best basketball gaming experience, featuring stars such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and all the best players of today.
LEGO The Lord of the Rings adapts the epic movie trilogy into the loveable LEGO format, keeping faithful to all three films while injecting humour and plenty of collectables.
When Vikings Attack has a Viking army invade Britain a thousand years too late. The player controls an angry civilian population hell bent on stopping them by throwing road signs, post boxes and vehicles at them.
All these games will be available on PS Plus from August 1. A PS Plus subscription is AUD$69.95 for a one-year subscription or AUD$19.95 for a 90 day subscription.

Another win for fans of Deadly Premonition! After grabbing quite a bit of attention with the Playstation 3 Director’s Cut, the same game (with even more features) is coming to Steam Greenlight, giving the cult following an opportunity to place a vote and get it…greenlit.
This is a first for Rising Star Games, who had this to say about the matter:
“Steam’s Greenlight process is a first for Rising Star Games and there is nothing better than the cult hit, Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, to make our mark on it,” said Martin Defries, managing director & COO of Rising Star Games. “Rising Star Games is an extremely community-driven publisher and our vocal fans have been calling for a PC version of this game, so using Steam Greenlight gives those fans the chance to make a difference.”
Features include:
A surprising new scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro
Enhanced HD graphics with new textures
Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience
Downloadable content to expand the mystery beyond the original game
Achievements and Steam Trading Cards (exclusive to the Steam version)
It is crazy to think how much love Deadly Premonition has received since its release, and this new PC version should be a fantastic addition to Steam, so follow this link and go out and vote!
For now, check out the swanky new trailer down below.
Developer Mad Orange and localized publisher Phoenix Online Studios are pleased to announce that Face Noir is officially available via online stores. This point-and-click adventure title delivers plenty of emotion stemming from the hardships of New York in the 1930’s. With the Great Depression casting an overbearing frown, private detective Jack del Niro dives headfirst into an unending pit of mystery. As Jack uncovers more clues, the plot not only thickens but twists and turns. When it is all said and done, the finger he wants to point to place the blame has no owner. The only finger that remains pointing is at himself and his own ‘destiny’.
Be sure to take a look at our Face Noir Review as well as our special CC Indie Spotlight that showcases the entire first chapter of the game! Not enough to satisfy your taste buds? Buy the game for $19.99 or play the demo for free (here).
In Colossatron: Massive World Threat! the military is mobilised by General Mustache to combat the greatest threat earth has ever seen: Colossatron! Coming from the unknown depths of space, Colossatron is a giant mechanical snake, and has crash landed to our humble planet with only one goal in mind; destroy EVERYTHING! The story and visual style draws heavily from anime and 1980s cartoons.
The game is a massive role reversal, as you don’t play as a member of General Mustache’s military, but as Colossatron itself! Your aim is to do as much damage as humanly possible, while growing Colossatron by adding power nodes and weapons. Think of it like the old mobile classic ‘Snake’ but in a more modern, more “destroy everything” kind of way.
Halfbrick have given us a brief glimpse of Colossatron: Massive World Threat in the form of a trailer that you can check out below. The game will be launching in a little while on iOS and Android platforms.
Giant Monsters or ‘Kaiju’ look to be the flavour of the month at the moment. With Movies like Pacific Rim, and games like Colossatron and Attack of the Friday Monsters coming out. Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to stay tuned to all the Colossatron news as it becomes available.
