We knew that Warner Bros. next Batman game; Batman Arkham Origins would feature a series of bounty hunters who would all be going after the Caped Crusader on one fateful holiday night. As we get closer and closer to the game’s release we are beginning to learn who the identity of these villains. Today we are lucky enough to meet the latest of Black Mask’s assassins; the infamous Copperhead!
I know what many of you are thinking; “who the heck is Copperhead!?” Good question. Copperhead is one of those characters who appears sporadically at best, but that doesn’t make him any less dangerous than the likes of Deadshot or Deathstroke. Copperhead is a master contortionist and escape artist turned serial-killer, who has gone up against the likes of not only Batman, but even Wonder Woman and Superboy, even managing to pierce the latter’s near-unbreakable skin at one point.
Copperhead is one dangerous S.O.B. and not one to be trifled with, and that makes him a perfect fit for Arkham Origins. Actually I need to stop myself here, as Copperhead doesn’t appear to be a “he” anymore. The character has undergone quite the impressive redesign from the comics, and has taken on some shall we say “feminine” traits. Despite the redesign, the character looks to remain true to the original and will be ducking, weaving and contorting her body all around the place.
Warner Bros. have released a brand new trailer for the game, featuring (you guessed it) Copperhead herself. The video shows that she is more than capable of going one on one with the Dark Knight just as well as anyone else. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section. Do you like the new look for Copperhead? Do you care? Do you even know who Copperhead is? We want to hear all about it!
Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release on PS3, Xbox 360, WiiU and PC on October 25th, so be sure to stay tuned to Capsule Computers while we contort ourselves around all the Arkham Origins news as it becomes available.
SEGA is challenging Sonic Dash players to run the equivalent of one hundred laps around the world in Sonic Dash. If completed successfully, players will unlock classic character Shadow the Hedgehog as a playable character for free. “Since launch we have been amazed with the reaction and support from the Sonic Dash community,” said Chris Southall Studio Head of SEGA’s Hardlight studio. “For this update, we wanted to do something a bit different- something to bring the Sonic Dash community together to engage them and say a huge thank you for supporting us.”
Sonic Dash is an infinite runner that can be downloaded for free on iTunes.
Why are you still reading this!? The headline alone is enough to make most gamers wilt or run screaming. Nintendo announced today that Earthbound, the RPG originally released for the Super Nintendo, has been released on the Wii U’s eShop.
Originally dubbed Mother 3 in Japan, the actual Super Nintendo cartridge still easily goes for around $160 USD. At $10, this will give old fans, as well as the folks that never had a chance to try Earthbound in its original glory, a chance to dig in and see what all the fuss was about. At $10, you’d be losing money NOT to buy it.
If you want to see the game in action before you go start the download, be sure to check out the trailer in the video player below this video!
Remember way back in April of last year? As a refresher, that was when Max Payne 3 was getting a series of comics to bridge gaps between the different games in the series. Well, now it seems that those that missed the original run of those comics have a second chance as Rockstar and Titan Books will be printing all of them in a single hardcover.
Covering the span of the Max Payne Trilogy that was encapsulated within the pages of the three issues, plus additional previously unseen artwork, Max Payne 3: The Complete Series will be hitting stores and online retailers on October 22nd, 2013 for $9.99 (£8.99). Though Australian and New Zealand prices have yet to be confirmed.
Those wanting to purchase the graphic novel to find out more about Max Payne’s past or just wanting to add it to their collection may have to wait until October, but fans of the series that haven’t played the third game yet can still find Max Payne 3 on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Mac.
Though the game has been out for some time on mobile devices, Angry Birds Star Wars will be coming out to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii, Wii U, and 3DS. It’s slated for release on October 29 in the United States and November 1 globally. It will features new competitive and cooperative game modes, 20 exclusive new levels, and over 25 hours of gameplay.

With San Diego Comic Con going on right now its little surprise that some of the biggest games this year would be showing off trailers just for the show, which is indeed the case for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. The next in the Final Fantasy XIII story line from Square Enix has not been lacking in trailers, but this time the focus is the story itself and what Lightning is doing upon her return.
From the trailer itself, Lightning Returns looks to be half fashion show and half saving the world, as there is a bit of time spent on just showing off some of the different outfits Lightning can wear. But, clothing aside it looks like Lightning has her work cut out for her as she will only have 13 days to get everything sorted.
Those wanting to check out the trailer for themselves can find it embedded below. Lightning will return February 2014 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
