With Fallout: New Vegas only a month from hitting shelves Bethesda has been releasing developer diaries to give everyone a sneak peak of what is different between New Vegas and 3. Obsidian themselves are giving us a peak in this diary of the new Technology we will be seeing as well as the sounds we will be hearing in the Mojave Wasteland.
They cover the fact that many things you will be seeing have either been re-tooled or designed from pre-war technology and has a very unique feel to how guns were handled in Fallout 3. Such as some energy weapons having recharging energy cells as opposed to re-loadable ammo of more understandable guns. Such as a machine gun that launches grenades….. Also we see how the sounds will occur in the desert with a bit of gameplay footage demonstrating the echoes of gunfire in the desert.
Catch the video below and be ready to survive the wasteland again on October 19th in the US and the 22nd everywhere else.
Unfortunately if you have been waiting to play HAWX 2 for the PC instead of picking it up earlier this month on a console system, well you may have to wait quite a bit longer. As it turns out the PC version for Ubisoft’s HAWX 2 will not be released on September 30th.
No release date is currently known though those that have pre-ordered the game have gotten emails from Ubisoft stating that the next release date is November 16th. If this release date is true then the game has suffered nearly a two month delay for unknown reasons; which brings up the question as to why they waited so close to release date to push the release back a month and a half away?

In DiRT 3, gamers will be challenged to drive their cars in racing arenas and complete races involving props and jumps that are meant to capture the same freestyle expression of Gymkana. Some disappointing news for gamers who planned on picking up LittleBigPlanet 2 this year. Media Molecule have announced that the highly anticipated title will be getting pushed back a few months and into January of 2011.
Here is the official statement from the Official Little Big Planet website:
23/09/2010
Important news regarding the release date of LittleBigPlanet™2
LittleBigPlanet 2 is a crazy dream, a dream to allow players to make whatever kind of game they want, but also to play though a great adventure of drama and excitement, power-ups, and cinematics. But like all of the most ambitious ideas, it can be a considerable challenge to turn these dreams in to fun games. We’ve all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we’re almost there, but because we love what we’ve made, and we love our little sack-friends, and most of all we love all our fans out there, we couldn’t let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the best experience imaginable. Which is why we’ve taken the hard decision to delay the worldwide release of LittleBigPlanet 2, originally slated for later this year to January 2011.
We know this will come as disappointing news for all you LittleBigPlanet fans, and believe us, we are disappointed too. We are a tight-knit team and we take enormous pride in our work, so to raise the bar we’ve set with the original LittleBigPlanet, a game that has been so embraced by all, we’ve agreed to allow ourselves a bit more time to deliver the experience that our great fans and community deserve. We are truly sorry, but hope you understand that we have to build the best possible game, as it is the foundation of our community.
On the upside, we are going to find a way to give more of you a taste of LBP2 prior to launch, so stay tuned.
Thanks for your continued love and support, it won’t be long – we promise.
While this is sad to hear that the sackboy creations can’t start this year it sounds like quality is the main reason for the delay and Media Molecule seem very sincere that the finished product will be even better than before. I for one would rather have a perfect game than a nearly perfect one and as dedicated as the developer is to the project and the fans of the title, it looks like this may be a bit more of good news rather than bad in the longrun and LittleBigPlanet 2 is sure to be a worthy sequel of waiting for when it launches early next year.
One of the most popular Iphone apps and Playstation Minis titles, Spot the Differences, is now slated to release on the Wiiware download service. Packed with 150 scenes, 3 levels of difficulty and 1,500 differences to find, ‘Spot the Differences’ looks to be the most complete difference game on the platform. Aimed at all audiences, it offers a journey through odd and attractive scenes on various themes: Landscapes, Pets, Playtime and Yummy.
3 single-player game modes are available: Arcade, Select Pictures and Time Attack. The game also features a Wii-exclusive multiplayer mode, where up to 4 friends or family members can compete against each other and see who finds more differences!
To me, this title looks to be perfect for any Wii owner to download and sharpen the brain and have some fun addictive gameplay at the same time while also using the new multi-player to get everyone in on the action. 150 is also a HUGE amount of content that will be sure to add to hours of intense searching for games young and old. There isn’t a solid release date as of yet but I would expect one very soon to be announced from Sanuk Games.
It wouldn’t be a true Donkey Kong Country title without Donkey Kong and Diddy for sure but a new trailer reveals one of the most memorable animals in the series that will be making his comeback in Donkey Kong Country Returns, Rambi The Rhino. Rambi was always known for assisting Donkey Kong and Diddy get through some of the toughest of areas, charging through enemies and walls, even at times discovering hidden areas. In the latest trailer from Nintendo, Rambi is featured and the first announced returning “animal buddy” that the duo will be able to ride in the game at certain areas to plow through thorns and hoards of enemies in just seconds. By the look of the trailer, he doesn’t miss a beat either. My hope now is to see Expresso the Ostrich, Winky the Frog, and all the others from the first title will be showing up soon in some new trailers.
You can check out the new trailer posted below and we will keep you updated as soon as we hear any more news on Donkey Kong Country Returns which hits the Wii in November.
