Syrinscape Out Now

syrinscape-002

Roleplayers around the world should check out an app called Syrinscape, from Interaction Consortium, which is basically a program that allows players to enhance their roleplaying experience by adding a major ambient audio component to the experience. The app is available on the PC and Mac devices, although mobile versions are being planned.

Syrinscape, as we previously covered, is an app that essentially plays various SoundSets to enhance a gaming session. The app is initially free and comes with two free SoundSets, “Bugbear Battle” and “Witchwood”. After the initial download, players can purchase additional SoundSets at a fixed price of $3.99 each. Players can also download the Syrinscape Starter SoundSet 6-Pack, which contains a selection of SoundSets, for $20. These are listed below:

Available are the following SoundSets, priced at just US$3.99 each:

  1. Dungeon – a disturbing environment of foreboding rumbles and distant screams…
  2. Elven Vale Day – a luscious rich forest drenched in dappled light and knee deep in leaves and mystery (it’s perfect for meditation too!)
  3. Elven Vale Night – the warm embrace of a peaceful night falls over the Elven forest.
  4. Brindol Town – a thriving village with streets full of busy traders, laughing children, passing processions and strumming bards.
  5. Dragon Battle  – as the viscous creatures comes to blows, sharp claws scratch the polished stone floor and tails and wings smash chunks of stonework and rock from the walls.
  6. Spooky – the characters stumble through a mist-choked underworld. Disoriented, they are taunted by voices that seem to float around them while half-formed faces tease them from the shadows.

Or purchase the Starter SoundSet 6-Pack of all the above six SoundSets for only $US20.

Be sure to check out the Official Site for more info. Visit the store to purchase the Starter Soundset 6-Pack.

LocoCycle To Launch on Xbox One; New E3 Trailer Revealed

lococycle-01

Since LocoCycle was announced last year, Twisted Pixel and Microsoft have been very hush-hush on the chaotic title aside from a few tidbits, not saying much about a console or a release date. Today however, that has changed and a new trailer was released, along with news that the game would be launching with the Xbox One.

The trailer is about what you would expect from a Twisted Pixel romp, with a lot of color, discord, and insanity, as our dear driver tries to survive hooked onto the LocoCycle itself. Check out the clip below, and once we get more information on LocoCycle from E3, we will be sure to bring even more updates and news.

Thief E3 2013 Trailer Revealed

thief-4-e3-01

Square Enix and Eidos are of course bringing back Thief with Thief 4, and everything about the game has looked beautiful thus far. Today, a new trailer was released just ahead of E3, and I must say the mouth is starting to water more.

As you would expect, this clip is more cinematic – showing off the main protagonist and giving us a tease of what to expect. You can expect more news about the now, simply self-titled sequel, to rise soon, and the game to eventually land on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. For now, check out the slick clip down below.

A Chilling Tease of Daylight Emerges from E3

daylight-e3-logo-01

Zombie Studios have been hard at work on Daylight, their new psychological horror game coming to the PC and PS4 sometime next year. Today – and just ahead of E3, the developer has released a new trailer showing off the game, and I must say it is chilling.

Imagine a world that resets itself everytime you restart, a world that gets inside your head by being procedurally generated in order to keep you on edge. That is what Daylight is all about. With the game running on the Playstation 4, there is a good chance we will see something special with this one. For a nice tease, watch the clip down below, and stay tuned, as there is sure to be even more news on Daylight ahead of it’s launch next year.

Get a Free Game With Purchase of New 3DS in Australia

misty-pink-3ds-official

Club Nintendo is a great thing, and finally – Australia is getting some love due to the “Great Games” Promotion. This little offer gives buyers of the original 3DS a chance of their own to strike gold, with a handful of games being given away for free as long as the system is bought between now and July 31st. After that, you simply have to register your system through the service by September, and pick out Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and nintendogs + cats: Toy Poodle & New Friends.

Sounds great, right? Well, it is nice to see Nintendo try to continue the giving to those who want that smaller handheld, and while XL buyers may feel shafted, this promotion seems to only benefit rather than take away.

Guncraft gets a Final Release Date; Features Revealed

guncraft-01

We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Guncraft is coming to an end, as Exato Game Studios have now announced that the final release date will be July 11th. This is huge news for the voxel-styled shooter that has been stirring eyebrows since its announcement, and of course the community will be a big part of the launch.

Now, a feature list was also released for the not-so familiar public, and you can feast your eyes on it below:

  • 8+ outlandish game modes for up to 16 players (Online/LAN), including:
    • “Lava Survival” mode where magma slowly rises as players build upward to avoid the instant orange death. It’s a new variation of “Last Man Standing”.
    • “Onslaught Mode” mode, where four players band together to fight off endless waves of deadly robot spiders, soldiers, drones, and aircrafts.
    • “Spleef” – Players drill and destroy blocks on the platform near or under their opponents in order to cause them to fall to their deaths, while fervently avoiding suffering the same fate.
    • “Seige Mode” – A building and prefab centric game mode where two teams are pitted in a race to build a trebuchet-style catapult first. Be sure to defend it, else you get your structure destroyed by the other team.
  • Build your own arsenal block by block in the Gun Smithing feature. This one of a kind scalable weapon crafting system lets gamers create anything from flintlock pistols to grenade launching cats. Fully modify the gun’s stats to create the perfect weapon.
  • Create custom prefab structures, levels, characters, and weapon structures – the only limit is your own imagination.
  • Player-controlled vehicles, perk/killstreak, class loadouts, clan system, and ranks.
  • Continual Content Updates – New gigantic maps, wild gameplay modes and additional features to be added in the future, based on community feedback

Guncraft is a product of dedication and love, and in just a tad over a month, many will be able to get their hands on the game that is sure to take the PC crowd by storm this year. Right now you can download the beta from www.exatogames.com, so give it a whirl and mark your calenders, as Guncraft is on the horizon.

Project X Zone’s New English Trailer

Am I the only one excited for Megaman X to be in another game?
Am I the only one excited for Megaman X to be in another game?

Yesterday Sega began streaming a new trailer for Namco Bandai’s new crossover, strategy, role-playing game Project X Zone.

This trailer shows some pretty sweet animation which was done by studio TRIGGER and director Akira Amemiya who worked as an animator on anime series’ like Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. It also shows just a selection of characters from the 27 different titles that you can choose characters from in the game. Titles like Devil May Cry, Tekken, Megaman X, Street Fighter and so many more. Almost too many!

Namco Bandai of America has just released the first of a couple demos onto the Nintendo eShop and the full game is planned for release on June 25th. Us guys here in Australia will be getting the game on July 4th and Japan has had it since last October…lucky.

Keep an eye out for more info and updates on this amazing title and don’t forget to hit up our comments section and tell us what you think. Now go and check out the sweet new trailer in the featured video section just under this.
