It seems that if your one reason to tune into Microsoft’s Xbox conference at E3 was to catch Call of Duty: Ghosts in action then you no longer will have to do so. Today it was announced that Activision will be holding a special pre-E3 presentation presented by Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik on June 9th 11:00AM PST.

The broadcast will last for thirty minutes and include a first look at some of the game’s levels, behind the scenes footage and interviews with the Infinity Ward team. Who knows, they may even have some more dog mocap footage to share.

FireBrand Brings The Heat to MechWarrior Online

fireband-mechwarrior-01

Fans of MechWarrior Online better apply some sunscreen and put on their sunglasses because the latest Hero Mech to come off the production line is packing some serious heat. The Hero version of the JagerMech, the FireBrand JM6-FB weighs in at 65 tons and gives pilots a 30% in game ‘C-Bill’ Bonus. The new model also sports a combination of dual PPCs and dual AC/2s, which means any mech out in the open without any defenses will be obliterated in a matter of seconds. FireBrand is the latest in a series of new Mechs introduced for the game in recent months, joining the fray alongside BlackJack and Misery.

Piranha Games normally brings a host of updates along with its new Mechs and this release is no different. The latest update includes a slew of new game enhancements, including weapons buffs, improvements to the user interface and the ability to take screenshots in game with the keyboard.

A new camo pattern skin named Sherman is also available and will make your Mech look like a tank that has travelled in time all the way from WWII. That’s not all for this update though, as four incredibly dangerous trial Mechs are now available to take for a test drive. These include:

  • Spider SDR-5D
  • Hunchback HBK-4P
  • Cataphract CTF-4X
  • Atlas AS7-RS

As always, these trial Mechs are 100 percent free and available to any and all pilots who want to try different lance combinations and battle strategies before hitting the Inner Sphere to cause ultimate carnage against enemies.

For the full list of goodies included in the update, including all patch notes, check out the official forum topic. If you want to get more information on the game or just want to jump right in, you can do so for free at the MechWarrior Online Official Website. fable-anniversary-announcement- (4)

With E3 growing ever closer, the largest video game companies are mostly keeping their big announcements under wraps. However over the last couple of days it has become increasingly evident that Lionhead Studios were about to make an announcement of some kind.

Well today the company did just that by announcing that they will be remaking Fable: The Lost Chapters, a re-release of the original Fable with extra content. Fable: The Lost Chapters will undergo a full HD upgrade and some of the game’s layout and controls will be reworked while a normal checkpoint system will replace the game’s previous Hero Saves. The title is set to be released on the Xbox 360 under the name Fable Anniversary sometime later this year.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 to make use of the Fox Engine

PES-2014-debut

Today Konami had some good news for fans of their Soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer. The company confirmed that the next game in the series, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, will be released later this year and it will be making use of an adapted version of Kojima Production’s Fox Engine. We will likely see the game in action during Konami’s pre-E3 presentation later this week.

The new engine will allow the game to reach new heights as the past gameplay engine placed limitation on the game’s animation and AI systems. Because of this, the company has worked from the ground up to rework every element of the game, creating what they are saying will be a “new standard for football [soccer] titles.” Konami also announced that the game will only be released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and interestingly enough, the PSP.

“It’s clobberin’ time!” Marvel Heroes – the free-to-play action-MMORPG from Gazillion Entertainment – has launched worldwide for PC, with a Mac version in development for later release.

The game will feature 21 of your favorite Marvel Universe super heroes (at launch) from Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America to Spider-Man and Wolverine, all of which battle through an original, meaty story written by legendary comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis. They also each have unique and extensive levelling systems, power trees and equipment. President and COO of Gazillion Entertainment – and visionary behind Diablo and Diablo II – David Brevik, said;

For over three years we’ve been building Marvel Heroes to be an exciting, free-to-play massively multiplayer action game, and we are ecstatic to finally put it in the hands of Marvel fans and gamers alike. The creation of Marvel Heroes has been a labor of love.  As a die-hard Marvel fan, it’s an honor to give players the chance to take on the roles of their favorite Marvel Super Hero in an epic adventure.

Blood Bowl: Star Coach is free and will be gradually updated with new content, either directly into the game or via the store. Additional pre-defined tactics, new training bots for practice games, boosters as well as new teams to coach are all planned. To thank the first players for their contribution to this Beta, Cyanide will offer a pack of Cyans, usable in-game when Blood Bowl: Star Coach is officially launched.

blood-bowl-star-coach-004

Blood Bowl: Star Coach is a tactical, free-to-play game, in which the player is placed at the head of  a glory hunting football team, in contrast to the regular Blood Bowl games. Dwarfs, elves, humans and a host of other fantasy creatures will be your pawns with which to play with. It is then up to the coach to create the team and to set up the various defence and offence tactics.

The matches are played in a no-holds-barred atmosphere with little guarantee that players will escape unscathed. Fortunately, a replay mode allows the coach to understand his tactical errors and to pinpoint strategies worth repeating. So take advantage of the early access, and download it here from steam on PC.
