Infinite Crisis Profiles Batman

Infinite Crisis, upcoming MOBA from developer Turbine and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, has had plenty of Champion profiles so far, from heroes, to villains, to the less mainstream. But, it seems that today is the special day where they show off one of the most beloved characters in DC history, Batman.

Though Infinite Crisis sees crossovers between plenty of Universes, almost all of us know this story. Orphaned as a boy because of petty crime and trained to be an elite crime-fighting machine, the vigilante Batman, of the Prime Universe, is no stranger to direct combat. Though strong enough to face enemies head on, what Batman truly excels at is waiting for his prey to come to him. With both martial arts and gadgets, Batman has the versatility to be a great addition to any team.

Watch the full Champion Profile for Batman embedded below to see all of Batman’s moves and tips for how to use him. Infinite Crisis is currently in Beta, but players can sign up for the PC game from the Official Website.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Debuts Cover Art

lego-marvel-super-heroes-boxartWhile it was announced that LEGO Marvel character would be gracing the covers of Marvel comics come September, there hadn’t been any official word yet on the cover art of their own LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game. But that changes now as Marvel, along with developer TT Games and publisher Warner Bros., have revealed the box art for the upcoming game.

Featuring just about every character that has had a titular role in the movies, the box art shows off the likes of Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hulk, all the Fantastic Four (if one assumes Invisible Woman is invisible), plus more fan favorites. Boasting more than 100 playable characters LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has many more than could possibly be shown.

The cover art isn’t the only announcement however, as the game will be making a showing at San Diego Comic Con this year at Marvel’s booth. So, fans that find themselves down there can be sure to check it out at booth #2329. The presence will be bigger than just the booth however, as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will also be featured in the Marvel Video Games Panel at 12:30 local time July 20th, 2013 in room 6A.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is set to release this Fall (Spring in Australia) for consoles Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and Wii U; handhelds PS Vita, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS; and PC.

Wasteland 2 Will be Distributed by Deep Silver

wasteland-2-logo

Kickstarter has seen some mighty big successes, though sometimes even with outstanding success a project can still be left holding the bag on pretty big requirements in terms of distribution. This might have been the case with inXile Entertainment for their project Wasteland 2, but thanks to Deep Silver stepping in to help distribute inXile can continue to focus on developing the game.

Wasteland 2 is a new sequel from a very old IP. Just how old? Old enough that it helped shape the Fallout series. An RPG set in the wastelands of an apocalyptic future may not seem new hat today, but it was back then and now Wasteland 2 is looking to bring back the magic.

With Deep Silver in charge of distribution and inXile in charge of making the game, the two will be bringing the game to more than just the digital marketplace for PC, Mac, and Linux. Players can check out more about Wasteland 2 from the Official Website.

Meet Pain & Gain’s Sun Gym Gang

Pain-and-Gain-01

We have a new, behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming Michael Bay action-comedy (yes, a comedy) Pain & Gain, distributed by Paramount Pictures and released on August 8 nationwide.

The video – which can be viewed embedded at the bottom of this article – features the film’s stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Mackie, who make up the Sun Gym Gang, and Ken Jeong speaking on their characters, working with Michael Bay and the film’s production. As put by Dwayne in the clip, “it’s an insane, crazy, absurdly comical, hardcore true story”, while Wahlberg promises that “people will be really surprised at how good at comedy he [Bay] is”. Check it out below!

Speaking of Ken Jeong, his character Johnny Wu asks: are you a doer?

Pay Your Dues with Violence in Ride to Hell: Retribution

ride-to-hell-retribution-launch

Become an ace when it comes to getting payback, as you embody Vietnam veteran Jake – so bad-ass, he only goes by one name – in Ride to Hell: Retribution, available now for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Okay, the man does have a surname: Conway. But he doesn’t need to use it. It’s 1969 and everybody knows of the lone rider bent on revenge and going on a rampage. Ride to Hell: Retribution is a brutal beat ’em up/motorcycle racer where you can enact the most vile of acts against the scum that make the rules in town – The Devil’s Hand biker gang. Jake doesn’t bend the rules; he unabashedly breaks them. Laws can’t hold him as he hits hard and rides fast on the road to retribution. Those that get in his way go up in smoke, as seen in the trailer embedded below.

You know a game is pumped full of testosterone when strippers shoot at you whilst hanging upside down from a pole. And you can’t get much more merciless than tying a guy up and setting him ablaze. Ride to Hell: Retribution is just one of three titles Deep Silver are releasing in their efforts to engross gamers in the biker-culture of bare-knuckle violence, seedy strip clubs, and rip-roaring motorcycles. The Ride to Hell universe is expanded by the upcoming Ride to Hell: Route 666 (on XBLA, PSN) and Ride to Hell: Beatdown (on mobile platforms). Again, check out the Angel of Death himself, Jake Conway, in-action in the trailer below.

This is a sponsored post, though opinions are my own.

New Sherlock Holmes Game Gets A Proper Teaser

crime-punishment-teaser

The first teaser for the new Sherlock Holmes title, Crimes & Punishments, has been outed by Focus Home Interactive. The trailer shows off the game in motion as opposed to screenshots, and the recent move to the venerable Unreal 3 engine seems to have paid off in spades.

Frogware Studios are developing the investigative adventure game, built upon 14 key mechanics that hope to place players in the shoes of the great detective. Info is still elusive on what exactly that entails, but we do know there will be eight major investigations where you aim to arrest the culprits in circumstances that will apparently challenge players to make moral decisions.

Crimes & Punishments is being developed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Check out the teaser below and follow the game’s Twitter and Facebook pages for the latest info.

Watch_Dogs Live App Recruitment Trailer

The marketing for Watch_Dogs has certainly gotten interesting and catching attention with making an ATM spew thousands of dollars for a user of the Watch_Dogs Live app cracking a code. It seems that the marketing will either be continuing or even expanding with the newest trailer for the Live App.

More than the teaser, the new trailer is all about recruitment as it gives the 411 on Michael G. Aronson and why the hacking group Dedsec is all for taking him down. Though just how much this will all relate to Watch_Dogs is yet to be seen. It is clear that the app itself will be bringing new missions for those it recruits soon.

Coming from Ubisoft Montreal it would make sense for the the Watch_Dogs Live app to be a Canadian exclusive, regardless it will be interesting to see what else comes from this. Check out the Recruitment Trailer for yourself embedded below.

Kick More Cyborg Ass Thanks to Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Patch

far-cry-3-blood-dragon-screen-10

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is an amazing game, and hopefully many of you have played through it. For those of you who have completed it and conquered all the garrisons, a new patch made available today will extend the experience for you.

Now live for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC versions, this patch adds the option for players to reset all garrisons and continue the challenge. If this sounds familiar, it’s because Ubisoft also did this with Far Cry 3‘s outposts; the annoyance of their persistence being something people complained about in Far Cry 2, and then whined about when it was changed for its sequel (see Xbox One DRM responses for the perfect example of this flip-flopping).

So get back into the boots of Sergeant Rex Power Colt and continue to rip cyber-hearts from your enemies and feed them to hungry, eye-laser shooting dragons! What a game…
