Inazuma Eleven now available in North America

At long last the Inazuma Eleven franchise sees the light of day in North America with the release of the original Inazuma Eleven game today on the Nintendo eShop.

While the series has struggled to get localized in the states for quite some time, it is finally available for 3DS owners via the eShop. It is priced at a smooth $19.99 and is ready for kick-off!

You can check out the launch trailer for the game below. If you’re in North America and have never gotten a chance to take a gander at Inazuma Eleven, now is the time to go soccer-crazy with Endo Mamoru and his soccer-loving pals.

Fairy Fencer F to be released in the West by NIS America

While many of us believed that Fairy Fencer F would be making its way to the West eventually, it was up in the air for a bit but thankfully gamers can breath easy. Today NIS America has announced that they will be releasing Fairy Fencer F in North America and Europe through retail and digital outlets this year.

This game, while developed by the team behind Hyperdimension Neptunia, features a number of high profile names working alongside the development team. The story of Fairy Fencer F takes place many years after a war was fought between the Goddess and the Vile God and because they were so evenly matched, they created numerous special weapons containing the life force of a fairy.

By using these weapons, these gods fought each other until they sealed themselves away. Despite how many years have passed, their weapons remain highly sought after prizes by warriors named “Fencers” who are capable of wielding these destructive objects. When a young man named Fang suddenly pulls a “Fury,” as the weapons are called, from a stone, he becomes a Fencer and finds himself changing the course of his destiny.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair announced for Western release

With Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc only available in North America for two days at this point, and not even released yet in Europe, NIS America has announced that they will be bringing the game’s sequel to the West this fall as both a digital and retail title that is now being called Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

Players will once again take the role of a high school student that is taken to Jabberwock Island for a “lovey-dovey, heart-throbbing school trip” with their “super cute” teacher only for Monokuma to appear and restart the killing game. With the students trapped on the island and the only way to escape being to murder a classmate or solve the mystery of the island, players will experience new mini-games as they try to discover the truth.

Battle Princess of Arcadias hitting North America and Europe this year

Today to kick off a night of game announcements, NIS America has announced that they will be bringing Battle Princess of Arcadias to North America and Europe this year as a digital download. The game will feature Japanese audio with English subtitles and to help show off the game, they have released a trailer for the title which can be found below.

Battle Princess of Arcadias follows the story of Battle Princess Plume as she ventures out to restore peace to her kingdom named Schwert which has become overrun by monsters. Along the way Plume will find new weapons and allies that will help in her battle against monsters of all shapes and sizes.

New ‘X’ Gameplay Footage Revealed By Monolith Soft

Earlier today at the Nintendo Direct press conference, Nintendo and Monolith Soft revealed some brand new gameplay footage for the hotly anticipated spiritual successor to the Xeno series, currently known only as X.

The gameplay footage highlights the combat mechanics and the on screen display. Also featured is a plethora of monsters and characters set to be featured in X.

X is set for an exclusive release on the Wii U. No release date has been officially confirmed for a Western release of X. Be sure to check out the gameplay video for X below. Stay tuned for further information on X as it comes to light.

Xbox One Wins 2013 Sales Battle in Australia

The latest retail figures are granting the Xbox One victory in the Australian sales battle of 2013. NDP Group data for 2012-2013 showed that Microsoft‘s latest machine sold more units than any other next generation console that year.

“Xbox One saw higher unit sales of consoles, games and accessories than any other next generation console in Australia last year and topped all prior console launches in the country’s history.”

Hinton also acknowledged that supplies of the Xbox One were still limited, adding that Microsoft are “doing [their] best” to ensure that supply meets demand in time for the release of Titanfall, a major exclusive for the Xbox One that hits stores on March 13.

The industry as a whole saw traditional sales figures of over a billion dollars in Australia for 2013, with digital sales adding a further $899 million, according to figures from the Interactive Games & Entertainment Association.

New character introduced for Tales of Zestiria

This week’s issue of Jump magazine has revealed a new character that will be appearing in Tales of Zestiria. The character is named Mikurio, voiced by Osaka Ryota and designed by Mutsumi Inomata, and he is Slay’s, the main character, rival and childhood friend. He has a calm attitude and fights in combat using a rod and is from the Family of Heaven.

Members of The Family of Heaven are pure beings that can manipulate the sounds of heaven and are pure begins and because of this, normal people cannot see him but Slay can. Currently Namco Bandai has not announced a release window for Tales of Zestiria but it is set to be released worldwide for the PlayStation 3 sometime in the future.

New Legend Of The Galactic Heroes Anime Announced

The very popular novel series Legend of the Galactic Heroes is set for another anime adaptation; this is the second time the series has been adapted with the first one being made 20 years ago.

The announcement was made a few days ago at the end of a live stage performance of the series and was later confirmed by his secretary though the means of twitter.

Within the tweets it was stated that not only was the anime green lit, but it will be a completely new adaptation and not a remake of the 1988 version. The first adaptation was made by Animation Studio Artland and was directed by Noboru Ishiguro, who passed away in March two years ago. The new adaptation will focus more on the content from the 10 main volumes of the series, which was written by Yoshiki Takana, and will have a brand new staff behind it.

The series is set in the distant future and mainly follows the battles between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance; the two main characters are Imperial Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm of the Galactic Empire and the FPAs’ leader Yang Wen-Li. The Novels have been known for their highly detailed story plot and its vast amount of characters, which get their own side stories that are connected to the main plot of the series.

The novels ran from 1982 -1989 and have sold over 15 million copies; Artland also adapted the series into theatrical releases and video games. Let us know what you think about this new adaptation by leaving a comment down below.

Dead Rising 3 ‘Fallen Angel’ DLC now available for download

Fans of Dead Rising 3 will be delighted to hear that the second piece of DLC for Dead Rising 3’s “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos” has been released in the form of Fallen Angel. The content is currently available for download for $9.99 on the Xbox One Marketplace and is included in the game’s $29.99 season pass.

Fallen Angel follows a new character in the form of Angel as she and her group of survivors attempt to survive the zombie outbreak. There will be five new weapons, a new vehicle, and a new outfit that all carry over into the main game. To go along with the DLC’s release the company has released screenshots and a trailer, both of which can be found below.

J-Stars Victory Vs. – 4 New Gameplay Videos Released

Today Namco Bandai Games released four brand-new gameplay videos for their upcoming action/brawler game “J-Stars Victory Vs.” which is a game that, if you’re constant readers of the site, you’ll know we are absolutely head-over-heels excited for. Each of the 4 videos go for just over 2 minutes and they’re all focused on a singular character which is great because it gives fans the chance to see a couple of their favourite characters in action. Naruto (Naruto), Kenshiro (Fist Of The North Star), Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho) and Ryotsu (Kochira Katsushika-ku) are the four characters to get the spotlight this time around. Finally we’ll be able to see more of these characters’ movesets now that they each have a dedicated video. I can only imagine that Namco Bandai will be rolling out plenty of videos in the lead up to the games release so expect to see more within the coming weeks.
