Video games and movies. The transition has never been too great, but Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking to change that with Pixels. Imagine if video games came to life and played us – and by played I mean attacked. Well, Pixels looks to peak the interest of players as Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and more have come together for an action/comedy where Pac-Man, along with several other properties such as Donkey Kong attack the real world.
I feel like Sandler hasn’t had a good movie in a good while, and James…was only good in The King of Queens, but hey, I am optimistic as you never know if this little flick will be able to hold some sort of entertainment value. Namco already has a heavy influence it seems as well, so its already better than The Order. Check out the trailer below and look for the film to drop in theaters this summer.
NVIDIA have revealed an exciting GeForce Gaming Update, that is bound to benefit both developers and gamers alike. The PhysX source code is now free for all developers to use, as a means of ensuring more opportunities for boosting next generation gaming on Windows, Linux, OSx and Android. Furthermore, the Voxel Global Illumination (VXGI) is being integrated into the custom branch of the Unreal Engine 4; a more simplified model for developers to produce more and more stimulating content in the game world.
Taking a look at Virtual Reality, NVIDIA have brought their suite ‘VR Direct’ to the next level for gamers, with new support for VR SLI and Asynchronous Time Warp. NVIDIA can reduce the latency from head rotation before and after the image is rendered for both eyes, which will drastically increase graphics performance on the VR headset’s screen and ensure the delivery of next-gen VR content by harnessing the power of two GPUs.

The 2nd DLC Pack for Dragon Ball Xenoverse has finally received more details after being a mystery for a while. Thanks to more data mining from Sergio we knew that Nova and Eis Shenron would be playable characters with the 2nd DLC pack, but now it has been revealed villains Towa and Mira will also become playable characters. Highlights of the pack include:
– 4 new playable characters. Nova Shenron, Eis Shenron, Mira and Towa.
– 22 new special/ultimate attacks.
– 6 new Z-souls.
– Pan as a mentor.
– 5 new outfit sets. 1 will be Mira’s costume set, another will be Towa’s. It is highly likely another set will be the fusion dance clothes.
– 3 new GT focused story missions. Most likely will be fights against Nova, Eis and Omega Shenron.
– 2 New Parallel Quests.
This announcement comes right on the day that DLC pack 1 will be released across the world which contains a new stage in Tuffle Planet, more GT story fights, 3 new Parallel Quests, 15 new special moves to learn, Yamcha and Tien as mentors, 3 new characters in GT Kid Goku, Pan and GT Trunks and 5 new outfits. DLC Pack 3 is still a big mystery for now but I have a feeling it will definitely be tied in with the new Frieza movie Resurrection ‘F’. There is still no release date for these last two packs. Xenoverse is out now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on Steam.

After this weekend’s announcement featuring legendary Japanese composer Yasunori Mitsuda, it would have been be safe to assume that French indie developers Midgar Studio was out of big announcements. Instead, they announced the final stretch goal for Edge of Eternity’s Kickstarter campaign.
If the crowdfunding campaign can raise $295,000 USD before March 22, then Midgar Studio will have Dwarf Labs create the the game’s cinematics. The French animation company has won several awards for their work from Animago, SIGGRAPH, and Les Nuits Magiques.

Mordheim: City of the Damnedhas been in Early Access since last November. Rogue Factor’s turn based strategy game has been slowly moving towards a full release, with today’s major Phase 4 launch.
The biggest change in Phase 4 is the switch from Unity 4 to Unity 5, which will bring improved visual effects. Phase 4 is also adding a new procedurally generated map, two unique maps called Bridge and Library, and max-level warbands.
The game is currently 20% off on Steam during the Early Access and runs on Windows.
Mordheim: City of the Damned is set after a twin comet crashes into the city, scattering pieces of the Wyrdstone into the city’s many neighbourhoods. Four factions are now locked in mortal combat, hoping to seize the fragments and the inevitable riches that will follow.
The game mixes turn based combat with RPG elements that will allow players to develop and customize their fighters. Be careful though, as death and mutilation is a permanent condition.
Mordheim: City of the Damned is based on the tabletop combat game Mordheim. The board game served as the skirmish variant of Warhammer, Games Workshop’s long running tabletop combat franchise.
