tearaway-unfolded-screenshot-02

Remember Tearaway? Yeah, it had a Vita home at one point, but now Sony are taking the franchise to the big screen so to speak as Tearaway Unfolded has just been announced for the Playstation 4. Think of this as a complete version of Tearaway, but on a new platform.

Sadly, the announcement itself has been overshadowed with pre-order bonuses, but those who are interested in those can check them out below:

Pre-ordering Tearaway Unfolded will nab you one of the two bonus content packs, including exclusive costumes and decorations inspired by some of your favourite PlayStation titles.

The Pop-Up Pack features a shiny Gold Leaf to wear on the headband of your messenger along with an exclusive Journey costume, allowing you to ‘journey’ through the world of Tearaway Unfolded in style. Fans will also receive five custom decorations from the fantastic Lemmings, Gravity Rush, No Man’s Sky and The Order: 1886 for you to use in creative challenges. Additionally included is the official Tearaway Unfolded soundtrack featuring all original tracks from the game.

The Tearaway Unfolded: Messenger Edition will also be available and will include a unique version of the game featuring alternate cover art and, most importantly, the Torn-Away Pack.

The Torn-Away Pack includes a shining Gold Stamp to be proudly worn on the headband of your messenger as well as an exclusive God of War costume to wear as you battle your way through Scraps and other enemies.

You’ll also get five super sweet custom decorations from WWS PlayStation titles God of War, InFamous, The Last of Us and Killzone, and last, but by very no means least, the spectacular Pig Crown (as seen in the Vita version).

Both packs include the the super cute Sackboy and Baby Wendigo papercraft plans for you to make while you wait for the release of the game.

A Special Edition of Tearaway Unfolded will be available at selected retailers and includes a rare and extremely adorable atoi plushie, coupled with the Torn-Away Pack.

I am all for pre-order bonuses, but it is really poor form to announce your pre-order bonuses and DLC before showing off the game itself. I guess I can give Tearway Unfolded a bit of a pass however, as we do know what to expect and the game will only cost $39.99. Get ready to pre-order to get the goods folks, as it is due out September 9th. More Sony E3 2015 news is right around the corner, so stay tuned.

New Dragon Ball Super Promotional Artwork Shows New Characters

dragon-ball-super-promo
Fat Beerus and female Whis!? Today the official website for Dragon Ball Super launched in Japan and with that came a cool new bit of artwork showing most characters in their outfits from the recent movie Battle of Gods. As you can tell by my opening words, the most shocking part of this artwork is the reveal of two new characters, which judging by their poses and position could very well be the next antagonist the Z Warriors will try to take down. We don’t have names as of yet but I kind of like the sound of Fat Beerus.

Could this finally be the exploration of one of the 11 other universes Beerus mentioned back in Battle of Gods? Or perhaps this is some sort of parallel Beerus and Whis and we can expect more parallel versions to come? Keep checking back with Capsule Computers for all the latest Dragon Ball Super and other anime news as it is released.

Yu Suzuki Teases Shenmue Fans Before E3

yu-suzuki-forklift-01

Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki is at E3 and either he is teasing a possible announcement of sorts or simply torturing fans who have been hoping that someone would take the chance on finally bringing Shenmue III out to the public.

You see, earlier today Yu Suzuki tweeted  (see below) out the mysterious picture of a yellow forklift that fans will have some rather fond memories of.

The picture was tweeted with only “Found at E3” accompanying it so the chances of it actually involving an announcement of some kind are slim so take this as a simple rumor for now as this may simply just be a random picture of a forkift, though there is of course a chance that an HD re-release of the first two Shenmue games may be in the works. We will have to wait and see as E3 goes into full swing tomorrow.

Fallout 4 Release Date Set for November 10, 2015

fallout-4-e3-screenshot- (2)

Bethesda shocked fans by announcing that the long awaited but only just recently revealed Fallout 4 would be coming out this year on November 10th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

This news came at the tail end of an incredible looking presentation that started with showing off Fallout 4‘s character creation system that allows players to choose either female or male characters that are customized by sculpting facial features instead of with sliders in Boston before the apocalypse with a wife/husband and child.

Then the game jumps to the post-apocalyptic world where after 200 years have passed, you are the only survivor of Vault 111. Not realizing how long you’ve been out, the player begins to explore, encountering their former robot butler and even a dog that will quickly become an ally.

The developer went on to show that V.A.T.S. is back and much better looking, players can now layer armor, listen to hollow taps and play mini-games on the Pip-Boy. The game will offer extensive weapon customization with 50 base weapon types and over 700 modifications for those weapons, and that players can actually build their own settlement by creating buildings of their very own, allowing people to move in and then defending the area from raiders.

The company even announced that while a standard edition of the game will be available for $59.99, a $119.99 “Pip Boy” edition that comes with a Pip Boy replica to wear on your arm to place your smartphone (which can then be used as a “second-screen experience”) in will also be available for purchase, though gamers down in Australia will have to pay $189.95 if they want to pre-order this version. You can check out screengrabs from the presentation as well as the presentation itself below.
