With all the possibilities of the Kinect present you can only wonder at Fable: The Journey’s now infamous direction. Utilising all the extensive Microsoft tech available, players must sit in a chair and hold their hands in their lap for most of the game… almost like sitting in a chair and holding a controller in their lap for most of the game. Fable: The Journey suffers from a case of Kinect dysfunction, where using a Kinect is actually harder than using the base controller we have been using for years, the complete opposite of what the Kinect is meant to be all about. Ease of use is the key concept when thinking about Xbox’s Kinect and ease of use is what is totally ignored in Fable: The Journey.
