Bungie has announced that Halo Reach will be available world wide on the 14th of September (15th of September in Japan)
There was over 2.7 million gamers who loggin in and tested out the multiplayer Beta for the upcoming prequel to the Halo Series. A total of 16 million hours was spent and over 1.1 billion virtual kills were performed during the 18 day public beta. That has to be a record in anyone’s book. I think that the amount of data collected by bungie will certainly aid them in creating and fine tuning the best Halo Reach experience.
Make sure you read the rest of the article over on Yahoo and stay tuned for more information in the coming days.

Yes you heard it Capcom’s Phoenix Wright has made its way over to the Apple iPhone for a crazy price of only $4.99 a fraction of the price you would be paying if you purchased the game on the Nintendo DS.
Having quickly played through a little of the game just before it seems as though Capcom have ported over the DS version with the same look and feel of the dual screens. Playing the game will be quite similar as playing it on the Nintendo DS with the bottom part of the screen used for buttons and menu system as when you are in court or just investigating. Everything seems to work quite well and the controls are very intuitive and easy to use with your finger.
As we all know Mr Wright is always fun to play, the game is an adventure where you traverse through court rooms and crime scenes as you collect the much needed information to win your case. Collecting evidence is key and you will need to be on your toes and very alert when gathering the evidence you need and presenting it court. There are a total of Five cases, same as the original and each case should take you a 1 to 2 hours to complete. The speed of which you can complete the cases is totally up to you and how quickly you can read and gather and OBJECT your case in court.
For $4.99 this a CRAZY price complare to the original $49.99 on which the game was released on the Nintendo DS when it first came out. If you have this title already and would like to Phoenix Wright with you anywhere you go. $4.99 is a BARGAIN !!
Pick it up now and OBJECT to anything and everyone anywhere you go, just don’t scare the little old lady that’s sitting next to you on the bus when you do it 😉
Zombie Cow’s next quirky project, the genital-exploring twin-stick shooter Privates may actually have difficulty passing peer review. This indie title must pass a series of peer reviews in order to make it out to the indie marketplace. Cearly, a game about your privates would have a really hard time passing.
A Microsoft representative has stated, “we can confirm that if it is consistent with the description we have seen on the Internet, this game would not pass peer review and would not be permitted to be distributed on Xbox Live.”
Zombie Cow co-founder Dan Marshall told Seattle PI, “There was always going to be a risk it won’t pass Peer Review, but obviously we’ll do whatever we can to get the Xbox version out,” and continued by saying “it’d be a shame if a huge number of teenagers missed out on some quality gaming and vital education because of some abstract, cellular-level innards and pubic hairs.”
Don’t worry though, if the game doesn’t pass the Xbox Live peer review process, Privates will get a free PC release courtesy of UK’s Channel 4. (Note: it will probably only be available in the UK if it doesn’t pass peer review)
It’s only a few short days until the release of THQ’s second installment of their hit UFC Undisputed series, and they’ve just released a new trailer featuring none other than Georges St. Pierre, the most dominant UFC Welterweight champion of all time!
For those who aren’t massive UFC fans, a little background on GSP: since his debut he was won 20 of this 22 fights, and he’s avenged both of those losses. An example of his dominance in the Welterweight division over the last few years? In a recent title defence against Thiago Alves he actually tore his groin in the early rounds, and still continued on to grind out an easy unanimous decision!
If you’re going to fight in the Welterweight division when you play UFC Undisputed 2010, make sure you use Georges St. Pierre – you can’t go wrong!
Onto the trailer! If this doesn’t get you pumped for the release on May 27th nothing will!
After the confirmation of a new Puzzle Quest for the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo DS by D3Entertainment, Namco Networks will brings this sequel to the PC, iPhone, and iPad too, so everyone can choose the platform of preference.

The Nintendo DS version will be released on June 2, while the Xbox 360 and PC version will see the release sometime during the summer. The iPhone and iPad will receive de game on fall/early winter.
Looks like the Blackhawks are definitely doing something right. With the 4-0 sweep of the San Jose Sharks they have advanced now to the Stanley Cup Finals. Though they have a bit of an odd relaxation time; involving Mario Karts for the Wii. Coming from Chicago myself it is a surprise to see my team taking it so easy considering the stress that they have to be under. Though we as gamers know that playing a nice competitive game with your friends, or in this case teammates, is one of the best ways to relieve tension.
Don’t worry too much about their appearances though, the playoff beards and the tradition of not cutting your hair in the playoffs has caused them to look quite unkempt, but at least we have Colin Fraser the Hawks center as our host as he shows us who’s the best and who’s the worst when it comes to Mario Karts.
ModNation Racers is a kart racing game developed by United Front Games for the Sony PlayStation 3and PlayStation Portable. This is Sony’s attempt at a kart racing game, something that Nintendo has always had a monopoly on ever since the dawn of time with its Mario Kart series. Other kart games have come and gone, such as Crash Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing, Konami’s Krazy Racers, and most recently SEGA’s Sonic & SEGA’s All-Stars, there have been others but they all failed miserably and didn’t even make it past the finish line. Now Sony has decided to throw their hat into the ring or should I say racing helmet onto the track to challenge and hopefully come first in what seems to be a one kart race in this genre.
I must say that ModNation Racers is great fun. United Front Games have really hit the nail right on head when it comes to fun factor and also fast furious action on the track. The karts in this game are great fun to control and extremely fast !! The tracks are well designed and have wide turns so you can drift without having to worry about smashing into a wall. It’s great to see that United Front Games have also taken into consideration the casual gamer who’s driving skills might not be great but at least they can hold down the accelerator and take corners full speed and not having to worry about hitting anything. A kart game wouldn’t be a kart game without weapons, and let me tell you there’s some pretty cool power ups you can collect along the way. Teleports that move you down the track, the good old boost pads that give you that shot of acceleration to shoot you into the lead, missiles that are similar to rockets that blow up your opponent’s kart into a thousand pieces, bolts of electricity and many more.
One of the biggest selling points to ModNation Racers is it’s customization. Initially when ModNation was first announced, a lot of people likened it to LittleBigPlanet where you could create your own levels and share them with the world. Well ModNation Racers is no different. Players will be able to design and create their own characters, vehicles and tracks in great detail. With characters, players can modify clothing and their overall look, design their ride by coloring and adding decals and stickers. Also the greatest part of the game is giving the players the ability to create and modify race tracks using the in-game ‘Track Studio” tool.
With the ability to do all this modification to your characters, cars and tracks is what sets ModNation Racers apart from the other kart games currently out on the market at the moment. Just the thought of being able to throw together a racing track just the way you like it, with twists and turns and objects, buildings, trees and bodies of water literally within minutes, then with the press of a button upload it online for the rest of the world to download and try out is something totally remarkable.
ModNation Racers has a comprehensive 28th track career mode which can be enjoyed offline where you take on the computer and unlock car parts, extras and mods for your character. It’s a great offline experience the story is fun, the dialog is witty and well worth completing as it will give you that much needed experience when taking on the humans online. This is where all the fun in ModNation Racers is had. Now you can still play offline and go old school and invite your mates over and enjoy four player split screen, but it’s best if you tell your friends to stay at home, and hop online where you can take on up 11 other racers and show the world who’s the king !!
Unfortunately ModNation Racers isn’t perfect, there are a few things we have to get off our chest. For starters, the loading times !! The initial load screen takes over 30 seconds to load up and I’m not sure why but load times when starting up tracks take from 15 seconds all the way up to 45 seconds to load up. Some of the tracks are quite large but still with the processing power of the Playstation 3 I would of thought that tracks would load up faster. Sitting around for the game to load isn’t the end of the world but it’s something we had to share with you all. However once the levels/tracks are up they play with no lag or loss of frame rate.
Also I have to say that the computer racers/A.I. are brutal, but this is always the same with every kart game out there on the market. You can never take the lead and stay there indefinitely. It’s just the nature of the beast. When you have weapons at your disposal you will always have that target on your back when you’re in first place. Losing the lead will always happen, you have to grin and bear it. Dust yourself off and get them back and hope that you make it over the first line in first place. The computer opponents are extremely cunning on the harder levels but let me tell you that it takes a lot of will power not to throw that controller across the room when you’re just about to cross that finish line when BAM your hit with a rocket and by the time your back in the race 3 or 4 other racers have crossed over the line before you. Oh well that’s that kart racing for you.
One other thing that we all have grown to love in Kart racers is that you get to experience tracks and levels inspired from that specific platform. Nintendo do this quite well with tracks that have their trademarks such as racing through and around Princess Peaches Castle or in and around Bowers fortress, unfortunately we don’t see any of this in ModNation Racers. Sony have announced that downloadable content will be available down the track. This will include, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Kratos from God Of War Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet and many more. What would be great is if United Front Games also include tracks with a God Of War or Uncharted theme as DLC, this would be just what the doctor ordered and get the fans even more excited.
ModNation Racers is a solid kart racer with a great control system and a truckload of Mods available to it. United Games Front and Sony have done a fantastic job at brining the fun back into Kart racing. If you love fast furious kart racing action, with the ability to modify and create your own tracks, then look no futher ModNation Racers is the game for you.
Are you a developer? Are you looking for a challenge? Do you have a Nokia N900? If you answered at least 2 of these questions, you might be interested in the very first Maemo.org N900 Coding Competition which has just begun. This is open to anyone worldwide.
Qt, PyQt, PyGTK, whatever language you like can be used to program the application/game as long as it’s functionally complete, runs safely and easily on the Nokia N900.
This was supposed to be a friendly, win pride not prize community competition to get developers to create some useful/interesting apps or games for the Nokia N900 which uses the Maemo5 (code name fremantle) OS. However, Nokia has announced that they will sponsor this competition and 6 lucky winners of each application category will be invited to the MeeGo Conference 2010, due to be held in Dublin, Ireland with travel and accomodation costs all paid for!
If for some reason you cannot make it, they will give you a brand new Nokia N900 mobile phone instead. To top it off, there is a prize fund which is being contributed by the maemo.org community members which you will get a share of at the end. Not too shabby for a competition which was just created by a member of the forum for fun!
On a normal occasion, MasterAbbott would be hitting up the news about the upcoming update to the gameplay mechanics in Street Fighter IV. He is sadly being a lazy bum on the office couch. He’s been sleeping non stop for the last 37 hours. Nah! I’m just kidding, he’s been doing the opposite in fact, if it wasn’t for it being the weekend he would probably be working non stop for 37 hours. Busy busy!
Either way, the game’s assistant producer, Tomoaki Ayano has detailed an upcoming patch due to land this June on the Super Street Fighter IV Saikyo Blog.
The update pretty much fixes a bunch of gameplay mechanics and adds a few other tweaks.
Here’s the list of problems that the patch will fix in the patch which is currently due June 15th.
Certain Fei Long combos turning into an endless combo
When you unleash an Ultra Combo and time freezes, your guard input cancels out. This, Ayano admitted, is actually something that was known prior to the release, but they left it in as an interesting play mechanic. After the game’s release, they realised that there were a number of characters that ended up being able to unleash their Ultra Combos with no risk.
The effect of Sagat’s Angry Charge move does not reflect on his EX Tiger Uppercut in some circumstances.
Counter damage against Bison’s Ultra Combo II Psycho Punisher move is too low
When Ibuki attacks a ducking Chun-Li, the second hit of the attack will not register
Guy throwing glitch
When Ibuki rises from the ground in certain instances, she’ll retain her invincibility for a long time.
Are you telling me that Pantera is not a good replacement for plethora? They both start with a “P”.
Well according to the press release (which I don’t actually receive), this album is being called the “fan-favorite” album. Have you guys really been requesting these songs? When am I going to get some Weird Al music?
Here’s the list of new songs from Pantera?
