Battlefield 4 Commander Mode announced alongside multiplayer footage

battlefield-4-tower-collapse

We’ve already seen DICE take the stage once today when they stepped onto Microsoft’s press conference and revealed some of the first single player footage of Battlefield 4 and now they have also come out during EA‘s E3 press conference to announce that the game will feature Commander Mode.

To show off this commander mode they had a live 64 player multiplayer session where a commander is able to give direct commands to the team from the game and even from a mobile device. On this device the commander was able to monitor the battle and even warn the players when a huge skyscraper was being hammered and was about to collapse. What followed was the most amazing looking building collapses I think I’ve seen in a video game. Check out both the footage below and EA’s own “Best of” video below that.

MMO Racer The Crew Coming to Next Gen Consoles

The-Crew-Announce-01

Ubisoft has announced several new IP in their E3 conference and the one that got me the most excited was The Crew. A new racing game that seamlessly blends single player and multiplayer together as players drive all over the United States in real locations featuring iconic landmarks and streets across cities such as New York and Miami. The map is going to be huge, with the demonstration reavealing you can drive over mountains seeable very far off in the distance. Fast travel is also an option if you don’t like driving across several miles of dessert to reach your destination. The game will feature a persistent online world without the need for lobbies but the game is playable in single player mode.

The game is centered around players forming 4 man teams and tackling a variety of challenges, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be alot of infighting as crew members and other racers compete against each other in 20 second trials, ghost races and other modes. As you complete missions you can earn new parts for your car to better customise it to the way you like to drive, as well as earn comfort points and level ups. The game will also have a companion app on iOS and Android that allows you to create your own modifcations and make them playable in game, among other features.

The Crew will be releasing in early 2014 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Check out the 7 minute game play demo and the official reveal trailer for The Crew below which gives off a very strong Fast and Furious vibe. Stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all the latest E3 news in one place.

Two Assassin’s Creed 4 Trailers Fresh Out of Ubisoft’s E3 Conference

Assassins-Creed-IV-Black-Flag-01

Ubisoft brought out the big guns with it’s E3 conference and by big guns I mean cannons mounted to the side of pirate ships because we’ve been given two different trailers for the next Assassin’s Creed game titled Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.

These two trailers keep up with the Assassin’s Creed standard of both high quality CGI animation and just pure style. This time around we play as British Pirate and member of the Assassin Order Edward Kenway. Edward also happens to be the father of both Haytham Kenway and grandfather of John Connor who were both playable characters in the last Assassin’s Creed game. Once again throughout the game players will encounter real-life individuals that will be a part of the story. The game is set for release here in Australia on October the 31st 2013 (this year) and will be available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 3, Wii U and the Xbox 360. There are also version for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the works yet no date has been given on their release.

Let’s get back to what you’re all really here for: The trailers. Just below is the first of the two being about three and a half minutes long and the one directly below the article in the featured video section is the second trailer. Watch them and let us know what you think in our comments section. Keep an eye on the site for more exciting news from E3 2013

South Park: The Stick of Truth Gets New Trailer

south-park-the-stick-of-truth

A hilarious new trailer has been released for South Park: The Stick of Truth! Debuted during Ubisoft‘s E3 2013 press conference, the trailer focuses on Randy Marsh teaching a valuable important lesson: never fart on anyone’s balls. In true South Park fashion the trailer isn’t shy about poking fun at itself, making reference to the game’s constant delays. Very little gameplay is shown and it’s unfortunately  short, but at least we get a couple laughs from a trailer that actually contains new footage. The game is due to out this holiday season on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3…or some holiday season…you know how video games are.
