Aisha Tyler’s Watch_Dogs Role Revealed

Aisha-Tyler-Watch_Dogs-01
She must appreciate that the developers made her a multi-billionaire!

It’s been known since her appearance promoting the game on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon after E3 2013, that Aisha Tyler would have a cameo role in Ubisoft‘s Watch_Dogs. Now, we know what that role is…

Aisha will be just another citizen living in the game version of Chicago, reflecting her real life persona – except with a whole lot more money! However, if this video is anything to go by, it would seem that she is destined for a grissly end. Check it out directly below!

This is a cool celebrity cameo because of who Aisha is. She is a true gamer, and her first Ubisoft E3 Press Conference hosting gig came out of her public expression of fandom and excitement for the team’s work. She was unjustly attacked by viewers of the event, but defended herself in an ‘awesome’ manner. She became the spokesperson for Watch_Dogs, not because she’s in it, but because she’s a fan and knows her stuff through and through. I have a lot of respect for the comedian and hope that I – as Aiden Pearce – will be able to prevent her death by garbage truck. Might even make Aiden her stalker…okay, now this is getting weird!

Oh and everyone, let’s not freak out about the graphical quality of the gameplay footage: it is current generation. Like that should even matter…hypocrites.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition is headed to the PC soon, and Konami have a nice offer for those who pre-order off of Steam. Instead of getting a bonus such as a skin or something else unnecessary, Konami are offering up a nice 10% discount on the game to those buying early, which should assist in more ways than one.

Nintendo Announces Black 3DS XL

3ds-xl-black

We have seen quite a few models for the 3DS since its release, with the platform going pink, themed, and several other colors – but Nintendo are now ready to go back to basics with a sleek black model for the 3DS XL. The new color will join the 3DS’ family on August 11th, which happens to be the same day as the release for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team in the U.S.

Not too shabby at all, and considering the growing library as of late, more color – or less in this case, seems to be a welcome addition for those who have yet to make the plunge.

Injustice Martian Manhunter History Video, DLC Available Now

Martian-Manhunter-Injustice-02

For a being that was accidentally teleported to Earth, we humans certainly love the Martian Manhunter. Today is the day that he finally – after months of requests – joins the roster of Netherrealm Studios‘ Injustice: Gods Among Us. You can purchase and download the last Martian in existence for 400 Microsoft Points or AUD $7.35 on the PSN Store – no Season Pass privileges for this second wave of DLC content.

The DC Comics hero and member of the Justice League will likely not agree with Superman’s regime, although his own allegiances have been tested over the years. In the end though, he vowed to protect the planet from evil, and if that means confronting the Man of Steel, then that’s what has to be done. For those who are unfamiliar with his past from the comics, or just need a refresher course, you can check out his Character History trailer embedded below! You can also view gameplay footage of J’onn J’onzz here.

Razer is improving on their wildly popular Razer Naga MMO Gaming Mouse. The new version will feature mechanical switches for the thumb buttons, improving durability. The thumb buttons themselves have been reshaped, making it easier for players to identify specific buttons by feel. Additionally, the whole mouse body has been tweaked slightly to fit better for a wider variety of hand sizes. The Razer Synapse 2.0 software is also receiving an update, allowing the Naga‘s macro keys to be reprogrammed through an in-game overlay.

For left handed gamers who have been stuck with FPS-oriented ambidextrous mice, Razer is introducing a left handed model of the Naga, providing the same features as the Naga MMO. Min-Liang Tan, Razer’s CEO, stated that the left handed edition will most likely be a fiscal loss for the company. However, the goodwill gesture towards an often ignored population of gamers will be much appreciated by left handed gamers everywhere.

The new Razer Naga and the Left Handed Edition costs $109.95 AUD / $149.95 NZD.

Blade 9 to be Released in Europe

Blade-9-01
Let the battle begin! In Europe!

Chinese game developer MoreFunPlay have announced that they are ready to bring the much anticipated MMORPG Blade 9 to the European PC market.

Blade 9 is a tale of divine weapons, once wielded in unified form by a powerful god! 1,000 years later and the weapon has shattered into 9 shards – each taking on the form of a stylized Ruin Weapon. When these mystical artifacts combine, great power can be obtained for the bearer. Engaging features include the use of Merge Stones and the power of each of the nine Ruin Weapons – how long can each player hold onto one of these powerful instruments of destruction? The Ruin Weapons have been apart longer than living memory. Who will reunite the pieces and fight the forces threatening the world’s existence? This planet needs a new champion – could it be you?

In order to create a more user driven experience, the developers plan to listen to the Blade 9 community in order to see exactly what fans wish to be implemented. Users will be able to suggest new ideas and help shape the direction of Blade 9 in the coming months.
