Girls und Panzer given an English trailer

girls-und-panzer-english-trailer

Today an English narrated trailer for Girls und Panzer appeared online courtesy of WTK. This trailer was aired during Sentai Filmworks‘ presentation at Anime Expo earlier this month and while it does feature English narration, none of the character’s have been given voice work nor has an English cast been revealed as of yet.

Girls und Panzer follows the story of Miho, who ends up joining a tank combat course, or as the localization is calling it, tankery, where girls will drive and fight one another using real life tanks. This follows quite the trend with Sentai Filmworks and their acquisitions of cute girls with military hardware. Anyways, you can check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for the release itself sometime next year.

Saints Row IV refused classification once again in Australia

saints-rowiv-02

It looks like the attempts to release the original version of Saint’s Row IV have been put to a halt once again. After appealing with the Australian Rating’s board, it has been announced that the game in its original form is still banned. Currently there is a special “Australian Edition” version of the game that may be released.

According to AllGamesBeta, apparently the review board stated that since the game included the use of some drug related items that give the players some sort of boost or incentive for use, the game will be banned from sale or promotion  unless the revised version is submitted for review and passed the board before Deep Silver releases the game next month.

Infinite Game Publishing announced MechWarrior Tactics last year, an online, browser-based adaptation of the classic BattleTech tabletop card game, and a trailer with screenshots was released earlier this month.

The newest video for the free-to-play game, titled Game Pillars, goes behind the scenes showcasing new gameplay, UI updates, improved graphics and more. Currently in closed beta, an open beta is planned for later this year with Founder’s Packs guaranteeing instant access and exclusive perks.

“We have an incredible core fan base that’s been with MechWarrior Tactics since early Alpha. These fans have helped us shape the game into a true-to-history BattleTech experience,” said Kelly Zmak, long-time BattleTech fan and president of Infinite Game Publishing.

MechWarrior Tactics blends turn-based strategy and tactical gameplay, offering deep collectability and unique online features as you command numerous ’Mechs against online opponents.

For those curious, you can sign up on the site now and become a founder.

Take a Look at Disney Infinity’s Power Discs

disney-infinity-screenshot-05

Disney Infinity is a little under a month away from release, and up until this point, the focus of promotion has been how the Toy Box Mode and Playsets will operate. In all the talk, one important feature had yet to receive its turn in the spotlight; The Power Discs.

Disney Infinity’s Power Discs have been mentioned before, but never described in detail. There are two types of power discs; Circles and Hexagons. Circular discs are stacked under the character figures and provide bonuses. Up to two power discs can be stacked at a time, and bestow their bonuses for as long as they are active. Some discs will even combine their powers and create a third, unique ability.

Hexagonal Power Discs on the other hand are used to unlock toys, vehicles and scenery for Toy Box Mode. Again, up to two power discs can be stacked at any given time, and will unlock such vehicles as the Pizza Planet Delivery Truck, or the Dumbo the Elephant ride from Disneyland. Other Power Discs will allow you to change the scenery and backdrops to resemble various famous Disney properties, such as; Wreck-It Ralph, Tron and Nightmare Before Christmas.

Disney Infinity Power Discs – Wave 1

Each Starter Pack will come with one random Power Disc, with others being obtainable via sealed booster packs. There will be twenty power discs available at launch through these boosters. The contents of each booster is random, so I expect there will be a lot of collecting and trading with friends to complete sets. Disney have generously provided a trailer, which you can check out below, that details some of the Power Discs.

With only a few weeks until Disney Infinity launches on PS3, Xbox 360, WiiU and 3DS, are you excited? Let us known in the comments below, and for all the Disney Infinity news, stay tuned to Capsule Computers.

Based on player feedback, Kyttaro Games plan to refine the technology and adhere to their ultimate goal of developing fully head-controlled games in the future.
