As part of last night’s Nintendo Direct Presentation, Satoru Iwata, CEO of Nintendo, and Satoru Shibata, Nintendo Europe President, spilled the beans on some of the release dates for their upcoming games.

Here we have condensed the massive amount of news into one, easy to follow list for your enjoyment:

SteamWorld Dig (3Ds eShop) – Available NOW
Super Mario World 2 (Wii U eShop/3DS eShop) – Available NOW
Pokemon Rumble U (Wii U eShop) – August 15th
Etrian Odyssey 4: Legends of the Titan (3DS) – August 30th
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (3DS) – September 13th
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy – November 8th
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Early 2014

Nintendo are really hitting our wallets hard fir the last six months of the year aren’t they. I feel we should take a moment for Professor Layton through, as Azran Legacy will be his final solo game, and vs. Phoenix Wright will be his final appearance ever. That’s right, the final appearance of Professor Layton will have him against the greatest fictional attorney of all time.

Indie Titles Coming Soon to Wii U

Nintendo love to do little sizzle reels of their upcoming games. Cramming a bunch together to give us a small taste as whats to come in the coming months. Today’s Nintendo Direct Presentation was no different, with a staggering 18 soon to be released indie titles being showcased in under three minutes.

Everything from Cubemen, which was recently released on mobile (check out our review here), to games with names like Monkey Pirates and Lttle Dew was shown, and then some.

Check out the video below, which has all of the indie goodies that are coming Wii U owner’s way in the coming month. Luigi Joins the Battle in Super Smash Bros

During tonight’s Nintendo Direct Presentation, the latest addition to the growing roster of characters for the upcoming Super Smash Bros Wii U and Super Smash Bros 3DS was announced, and it was none other than Luigi.

Luigi’s addition comes as no surprise to anyone, as he has been present in all previous games, as well as 2013 being Nintendo‘s “Year of Luigi.” Regardless, it is still good to see Mario’s green-wearing lanky brother getting some love.

Sadly though, Luigi didn’t get a cool intro video, and instead we are limited to just seeing him in some screenshots for now. As with most returning characters, Luigi looks to be retaining a lot of his moveset and characteristics from the previous games, which I am sure will make competitive Luigi players smile (are there any competitive Luigi players?)

New Shadow of the Eternals Video Showcases Artwork

Precursor Games released a video montage that conveys the intricate, in-depth beauty of the concept artwork for their new and upcoming action–adventure game Shadow of the Eternals, the spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, released for GameCube in 2002.

Shadow of the Eternals is a single player psychological horror filled with detailed backgrounds, horrific characters and dungeons, set to release in fall, 2014 on PC, Wii U and now, because Precursor is an official PS4 developer, has added the PS4 as a stretch goal on its Kickstarter campaign.The fifth campaign update, that was released yesterday on the news page of their official website, shows some of the stunning concept art. Not only does the video show some of the artwork behind Shadow of the Eternals, it also shows some of the places and times that players will travel to, and even displays some of the landscapes and environments of the different eras.

FIFA 14 Pure Shot and Real Ball Physics Trailer

EA have released a new video detailing two of the new features in the upcoming FIFA 14 – Pure Shot and Real Ball Physics.

We’ve been presented a brief overview of these features as part of an overall package before, but this video shows the tech behind it all while members of the development team talk us through what we are seeing. Lead Gameplay Producer Aaron McHardy explained that specific player behaviours have been modeled into the game, such as Gareth Bale‘s ‘Knuckle Shot’…they even went so far as to replicate the airflow around the ball for better understanding of the “turbulence” of a ball that has been hit with no spin. Insane.

Check out the trailer embedded directly below. FIFA 14 is releasing on September 24th in the U.S, and on September 27th in PAL regions.

Zatanna Works Her Magic in Injustice: Gods Among Us

UPDATE: We can now confirm that Zatanna will be available for download, next Tuesday, August 13th for 400MSP on Xbox360, or $4.99 on PSN. Still no word on when she will be available for Wii U owners.

Since Injustice: Gods Among Us was announced, DC fans everywhere begged, and pleaded for Zatanna to join the game. Well it seems that Warner Bros. and Netherrealm Studios have been listening to their fans, as everyone’s favourite magician was announced as the next addition to the game’s roster.

Zatanna will be available as DLC, but much like Martian Manhunter (who was also demanded by the fanbase) does not come with the season pass. Zatanna’s moves look like they stay very true to the character, and have her casting magical fireballs and throwing cards like nobodies business.

Warner Bros. were kind enough to put out a trailer for Zatanna, which you can check out below. No word yet on when the mistress of magic will be available for download, but if it is anything like previous DLC for the game, you wont have long to wait. Are you a fan of Zatanna? To find the best value for the product that is being traded in, customers simply enter the name or barcode of the product. AR.Drone 2.0 “Power Edition” Has Officially Launched

Today Parrot have officially released the “Power Edition” of their popular Parrot AR. Drone 2.0 quad-copter device. The AR. Drone 2.0 is the second AR. Drone device from Parrot and enhances on the original design by adding a camera to the already existing AR. Drone controls which are accessed through your smart phone.

Interestingly, the new “Power Edition” promises 36 more minutes of flight time thanks to the new lithium polymer battery installed internally. It also comes in three different colours, “blazing red, fiery orange and cool blue”.

Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission story details revealed

Following the initial reveal of the release date and name of the second Hunter x Hunter anime film. The story for Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission has been detailed through Weekly Shonen Jump’s Hunter x Center feature.

The film revolves around the dark side of the Hunter Association and the countless crimes it has committed under the radar of normal society. Now that everything is illuminated and the crimes of the Hunter Association and its chairman Isaak Netero have been uncovered, how will Gon react to the true nature of the hunters?

Nintendo Direct to be held tonight

Nintendo have announced that they will be holding a Nintendo Direct conference tonight at midnight (AEST), between Wednesday 7^th August 2013 and Thursday 8^thAugust 2013 for Australia and New Zealand.

The conference will feature Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of Europe President Satoru Shibata as they bring updates on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software for 2013.
