While there still are a few months until The Witch and the Hundred Knight is released in NIS America, the game has been on its way for so long that it is probably good that the company is pushing out a lot of screenshots and videos for the game.
As such, we have a new gameplay video, which shows off a move that slows down time, and a new set of screenshots for The Witch and the Hundred Knight which is set to be released March 25 in North America and a bit earlier in Europe where it is set to come out on March 21.
Over the weekend Sentai Filmworks announced that they will be picking up the license for the anime adaptation for the Mikakunin de Shinkōkei comedy manga which will debut in Japan on January 8th. This is their second anime license so far this season and the anime is licensed under the English name Engaged to the Unidentified and Sentai also mentioned that they plan on giving the anime a home release sometime in the future.
For those who don’t know Engaged to the Unidentified follows the story of Kobeni Yonomori. On Yonomori’s 16th birthday a man with very little presence and his little sister appear in front of her and they proclaim that the man, Hakuya Mitsumine, is her fiancé. The three begin to live under the same roof and then numerous comedic situations occur from this situation.

Dragon Ball: Full Color Volume 1 Author: Akira Toriyama Illustrator: Akira Toriyama Publisher: Viz Media Release Date:February 4, 2014 Price:$19.99 – Available Here
Overview It has been nearly thirty years since Dragon Ball first started to run in Weekly Shōnen Jump and while a lot of people may never have read the manga before, almost every anime fan has likely seen either the original Dragon Ball anime or its much more prominent sequel, Dragon Ball Z. Now fans of the series will have the chance to read this revolutionary shōnen manga like never before, as Viz Media has started to release the Dragon Ball Z color chapters in physical volumes. With Dragon Ball Full Color Volume 1 covering the start of the Saiyan Arc, is it worth picking up?
Story As previously mentioned, most of the anime community has seen Dragon Ball Z at some point in time and it is there that the color version of the Dragon Ball manga starts from. Five years have passed since Son Goku defeated the demon king Piccolo and peace has returned to the world, allowing the hero to marry and have a son. However the world is about to experience a danger unlike anything it has experienced before as the strongest warrior anyone has ever seen has crash landed on the planet in an alien space ship.
This alien reveals himself to be Raditz, a Saiyan warrior who is looking for his brother Kakarrot who was sent to the planet as a child to obliterate the human race. While Goku is reuniting with some of his old friends and introducing them to his son, Gohan, Raditz appears in front of the group and reveals that Goku is Kakarrott, a member of the Saiyan warrior race, that was meant to destroy the planet and since he is his brother, Raditz will give him one more chance, or else his son Gohan will be killed.
With Goku heavily outmatched and Gohan’s life on the line, he must team up with Piccolo to defeat this new foe even if it means giving his life to save his son’s. Even then, with the arrival of this new foe there are always more on the way and after nearly losing this time, the greatest warriors on the planet must train to become even stronger or else they will fall to the approaching threat.
This is far from the first time that many of us have experienced Dragon Ball Z but there are still a few interesting tidbits to be found in the original manga version, mostly focused on the supporting characters getting a little extra screen time. That and of course there are no bothersome filler issues, allowing for the story to progress at a brisk pace that sees readers making their way nearly up until the arrival of their new foes.
That being said, since this is the manga and it is being handled by Viz rather than the anime which many people have grown familiar with, there are a number of translation differences. Throughout the manga various characters’ names have been presented in their original Japanese spelling, such as Kuririn instead of Krillin and a noticeable different is found in one of Piccolo’s moves. While some of these differences are simple differences in translation, it is worth noting that when Piccolo first speaks, his speech is incredibly awkward to read but this issue is rectified when he next appears in the manga.
Visuals The main reason that many fans of Dragon Ball will be picking up this release is the fact that every single panel of this volume is fully colored. This is the first time that this has happened and it is actually impressively handled. The characters look exactly as one would remember them and thanks to the coloration of everything from the characters to the backgrounds are nicely detailed. This makes the fight sequences, especially the full page action shots, especially impressive.
It is worth noting that the release is completely uncensored as there are guns, some extra blood and a few additional tidbits that likely were censored in the original release. It also helps that this release is a lot larger than your standard manga as far as dimensions go. The height and width of the release are roughly the same as a standard comic book but 248 pages in length. It is also worth noting that to avoid damaging the artwork; Viz has not translated the Japanese sound effects and has left them intact.
Extra Content Outside of the fact that everything in the release has been fully colored, Dragon Ball Full Color Volume 1 has little extra content. There are a few translation notes scattered across a few pages as the editors explain certain untranslated terms and since Viz did not translate the Japanese sound effects in an effort to save the artwork, the final few pages of the release contain the translations of each sound effect in order.
Overall Dragon Ball: Full Color Volume 1 gives fans of the series a chance to view the original source material in probably the best possible way. While there are some initial editing issues and a few of the translations may be unfamiliar to readers, this first volume kicks off the Dragon Ball Z anime that everyone is so familiar with by giving them a slightly different look at the series through its original material.

Put on your jumpers, mittens and scarf’s and pour in the hot chocolate because Winter 2014 is here. It’s the start of a brand new year with heaps of anime slopes to ride your sled down, and my oh my do we have some interesting titles. I think it’s safe to assume Space Dandy will be on everyone’s plan to watch list this season and I myself am no exception, but let’s just tear ourselves away from that particular snowflake and see what other titles we can make snowmen out of (okay I’ll stop with the winter metaphors).
Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda
There are three reasons why I’m excited for Sekai Seifuku (or World Conquest Zvezda Plot) and hopefully I won’t be disappointed because of them. First of all this is an anime original title; as I’ve previously said about Samurai Flamenco, I’m always interested in what an anime studio can create when they have no prior source material to base anything off. Secondly the anime studio in charge of its production is A-1 Pictures, AKA the guys who gave us Fairy Tale, Oreimo and Sword Art Online. Recently I have taken a shine to their anime so I’m expecting them to make the most out of the plot, speaking of which…
The plot for this anime is just insane, mind you a story about a little girl hell-bent on world domination and actually succeeds in doing so isn’t exactly a normal concept. The show follows Kate Hoshimiya and her secret society known as Zvezda as they plan and execute the impossible goal of taking over the world (Pinky and Brain, take notes). Combined with some interesting looking characters, this anime has a lot of creativity to it and I can’t wait to see what the grand plan of attack will be.
Sakura Trick
A comedy romance based in a high school that has three years left before it shuts down. Haruka Takayama and Yuu Sonada use to hang out all the time in junior high, now they’re in high school and are seated far away from each other as possible. With new friends made and the schools’ shut down date hanging above them, how will these two girls rekindle the close friendship they once shared years back? By kissing each other of course, the answer is so simple.
Yes this show is a Yuri and to be honest I don’t have any proper reason for choosing this anime. I haven’t seen many Yuri (in fact this might be the first one), but the plot alone has me asking all sorts of questions. How will other classmates react to them? How does this affect them outside of school? What problems will they occur whist attending school? Will they still be together after the school closes? Perhaps I’I’m looking too much into it, after all it is based off a four panel manga so I expect there to be a fair amount of humour. Never the less I look forward to watching this anime, and you can all look forward to my impressions about each episode by clicking here.
Tonari no Seki-kun
Looking at this season’s list I can see a lot of shows that are based around comedy, a genre which I am very fond of, and this anime aims to deliver the laughs with a very simple concept. Trying her best to study in class Rumi Yokoi keeps getting distracted by her fellow classmate sitting next to her. Toshinari Seki spends more time working on his creative distractions then actually studying and the more elaborate his creations are the more Rumi is drawn into what he will create next.
Let’s face it we all have slacked off in class from one time or another and this anime plans on taking this to the extreme. It’s also good to know each episode will only be ten minutes long; I predict they will either build-up and climax one long sketch, or they will show two shorter sketches in each episode. Preferably the latter of the options as they can focus more on what info is important to the joke and work towards a great laugh (Daily Lives of High School Boys is a great example of this), rather than spend too much time on the set up and lack in the punch line. Short, sweet and hopefully well thought out and timed, this anime should be a great way to get a quick comedy fix.
Pupa
As much as I love comedy I still think variety is important and what better way to add spice to the pot then with something that’s sure to give me nightmares. As well as not seeing many Yuri, I also haven’t seen a lot of horror anime (unless you count Another) and I think it’s about time I dip my toes into the pool of blood. After an encounter with a red butterfly, Yume Hasagawa is suddenly struck with a virus; turning her into a disgusting, flying, human eating monster. Her older brother, Utsutsu, goes to extreme lengths in order to cure his beloved little sister, can he get rid of the Pupa virus and save the one he cares about so dearly?
This anime is described as Horror, Psychological, Drama and even Romance (between who I wonder…) or to sum it up in one word, creepy. This show appears to have one aim and that is to seriously disturb you, don’t believe me? Then check out the PV, it will send shivers down your spine. I have a feeling this will be an anime that will still be talked about long after the season ends, whether it’s for the right reasons though (whatever they are) we will have to wait and see.
Honourable mentions go to Nisekoi, Buddy Complex, Toaru Hikuushi e no Koita, Strange+ and Inari Konkon Koi Iroha.
Don’t forget to check out the other Winter 2014 picks from the Capsule Computers Anime Crew, let us know what you will be watching this season by leaving a comment down below.

After twenty years apart, a group of old friends reunite for a weekend in a remote cabin in the Spanish mountains. Although there is much to catch up on together, a dark moment in their past continues to play in the back of their minds and hover over them. Reliving the past quickly loses its importance however, as an unexplained celestial incident hits, leaving them stranded and without means of communication to the outside world. Searching for help, the group begins to implode under the pressure of their circumstances as nature dictates the start of a new order.
