As everyone guessed, the end of that countdown timer brought the official announcement of Fallout 4. The game is currently being developed at Bethesda Game Studios by a team lead by Todd Howard.
With the announcement brings the first trailer, which was created with the in-game footage. The first half of the trailer is set in a house that swings back and forth between the days before the nuclear apocalypse and after. The last half of the trailer features quick teaser shots of the game. A German Shepherd is featured prominently throughout the video. It looks like the dog will play a big role with the new hero.
Bethesda will be giving the world the first serious look at Fallout 4 during their E3 showcase on Sundaym June 14th at 7PM PST, which will be streamed around the world on Twitch and YouTube. Fallout 4 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Given Examu‘s history, it should come as no surprise to hear that in the latest issue of Famitsuit has been revealed that Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel, originally released in Japanese arcades back on April 30th, will be getting a home console release in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in winter 2015.
The magazine also reveals that Super Sonico, who was limited to being a support character in the arcade release, will now be a playable character in the console release. A number of other new playable characters are also meant to be added though they were not revealed at the time.
As you may have heard, Arc System Works has announced that they will be releasing an enhanced version of their latest fighting game, Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign, in Japanese arcades later this year under the name Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator. At the time of the announcement the company revealed that Johnny Sfondi would be a playable character this time around and also teased another new character with a silhouette. Now thanks to this week’s issue of Famitsu we know that it is indeed a brand new character and she is called Jack-O.
Very little is known about Jack-O at the moment but it has been revealed that she will use “comical attacks” and is the third associate for”that man.” We do however have an idea on what she will look like thanks to a scan found below.
Looks like we won’t have to wait until Bethesda’s first ever E3 press conference to learn about a new Fallout announcement. You see, Bethesda has launched a very large countdown website utilizing the official Fallout website featuring a please stand by theme that fits perfectly with the Fallout setting.
Currently at the time of this writing it appears that the countdown will end in a little over six hours, meaning it will be launched at 10 AM CDT. Now it is currently unknown if this announcement will be the reveal of the long awaited Fallout 4 or perhaps something else, but we will find out in a few hours.
Last month it was revealed that Koei Tecmo‘s Gust was working on their first PlayStation 4 title in the form of an original game called Yoru no Nai Kuni. Planned for release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita this action-oriented RPG is set to be released in Japan on August 27th.
Until now we have yet to see how the game will look in action but now Gust has released the first trailer for Yoru no Nai Kuni that you can check out below. In combat, players will control Arnas as she wields her own special skills and summons subordinate demons to protect Lyuritis from any enemies they come across, even if it means temporarily transforming into a demon herself to do so.
Lord of Magna: Maiden Heavenis now available in North America at retail, where all launch copies include a soundtrack CD, and digitally through the Ninendo 3DS eShop for $39.99. To commemorate the launch of the title XSEED Games has released a new trailer for Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven with the focus being on showing off how each of the faeries players will encounter in the game stack up against one another regarding attack range, damage, speed, and movement range.
As for the game itself, it tells the story of a young innkeeper named Luchs whose peaceful innkeeping days became numbered once he discovered a bracelet known as “Lachryma.” Suddenly accosted by strange fiends, he’s saved by a mysterious faerie encased in crystal whose memories are spotty at best. Luchs decides to help her recover these memories and, in doing so, encounters numerous other faeries just like her, each wielding unique powers and remembering a little more about their storied pasts as the entourage grows.
In case you missed it, Koei Tecmo has announced that they will be releasing Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence in the West for the PlayStation 4 at retail, and on the PlayStation 3 and PC digitally on September 1st in North America and September 4th in Europe.
As such, now that the game is set to be released in the West Koei Tecmo has announced that gamers can obtain specific pre-order bonuses depending on where they want to pick up the game. Those who pre-order Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence will be given the ‘Rise of the God of War’ pack while those who pre-order from Amazon or Best Buy will obtain the ‘Oda -Tokugawa Alliance’ scenarios. Details about these scenarios can be found below as well as a new trailer for the game and some character portraits.
‘Rise of the God of War’ tells the tale of Kagetora Nagao, fourth son of Tamekage Nagao, who replaces his weak brother as head of the Nagao clan. When the liege lords of his clan are unwilling to recognize such a young and inexperienced youth he must force them into submission and prove his superiority as a commander. This is the origin story of Kenshin, the general who became known in Japan as the ‘God of War.’
‘Oda – Tokugawa Alliance’ follows the stories of two young men, Takechiyo Matsudaira and Kipposhi, who grow up to be two of the most significant figures of their time, Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda. This scenario explores their time growing up together and sheds some light behind the forging of their strong alliance and friendship.

Dragon Quest fans, we have a date! Today Square Enix confirmed that Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below will be hitting the Playstation 4 on October 13th. Yes, that is a long name – but Dragon quest always has a knack for adding a bit to the title.
The Day One Edition will feature five free Slime-themed in-game equipment items for those who pre-order, including: Slime Sword, Gooey Gloves, Goomerang, Squishing Rod and Gungenir.
Koei Tecmo and Square have been working on this beast for a while in terms of a translation, and we also now have a new trailer and information on the Day One Edition, which will come with five slime weapons (pictured above). I am quite ready to hop back in the world of Dragon Quest myself, and yet again, we see that we have a very busy release season later this year. Watch the new trailer and be happy.
