Devil’s Third Dated for Australia and Europe; New Screenshots and Art Revealed

devils-third-logo-01

Devil’s Third is one of Nintendo’s bizarre pick-ups that is just too unique not to be on the Wii U. The military thriller is odd, but is sure to strike a chord to the same audience that received Bayonetta 2 and some of the once-exclusive Japanese titles that we have been begging for, but are just now receiving. Today, a release date was confirmed for Europe and Australia, putting the official street date at August 28th for Europe and just a day later for Australia and New Zealand.

Here are some more details about the plot and what to expect from the online multiplayer:

At the heart of the single-player campaign is Ivan, a former mercenary let loose from his incarceration to right the wrongs of his past and take down a shadowy terrorist group he once belonged to. With the world’s satellites and electrical weaponry having been wiped out, and warfare once again reduced to close combat between soldiers, Ivan must use a colourful array of weaponry to shoot, hack and bludgeon his way through any foe standing in the way of his attempt at redemption. With fast-paced combat and bone-crunching finishing moves galore, a day in the life of Ivan is anything but ordinary…

The game’s online multiplayer mode, meanwhile, offers up a grim future whereby the terrorists have won, and chaos reigns supreme. As an ordinary citizen, you can join a clan and help reclaim the United States by forming allegiances with other factions, or go all-out as a mercenary and endlessly assault other player’s bases, opting for anarchy over clan diplomacy! But at the heart of the online play is the ability to customise your base alongside other members of your clan, with successful battling resulting in rewards that can be used to improve your defences. With constant assaults from other clans, you’ll have to be on your toes to defend your territory.

Unique and mystical are definitely two terms that perfectly fit with Vahalla Game Studios’ latest. Check out the screens and art below, and mark your calenders appropriately for Devil’s Third to hack and slash on your Wii U.

Play More Games With New Xbox One

XboxOne-1TB-Console

From when it was first announced as having a 500GB Hard Drive, many people thought that the Xbox One would be very easy to fill up with games. Well, those people who were anxious about that weren’t exactly wrong, I know I personally have had to delete games on more than one occasion just to make room for new ones as they release. This is especially a problem if you are the type of gamer that likes to download their games.

Well, people who purchase Xbox One consoles from June 24th will no longer have to worry about that problem (as much). Microsoft are releasing a new version of the Xbox One, and one that comes with a 1TB HDD, perfect for all your gaming needs. The new version of the console also comes with a new controller that will give fans the ability to plug 3.mm headphones right into it! The new console will have an RRP of $549.99 and will be available from just about any retailer you can think of come June 24th.

Some said that it couldn’t be done but it appears that XSEED Games is taking on the impossible as they have announced that they will be releasing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, also known as Sen no Kiseki, in North America and Europe this fall season. In fact, the company even went so far to confirm that they are also planning on releasing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II in the West, though they have yet to release any details other than that they are working on it.

Originally released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, fans in the West have eagerly waited to hear of Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel being localized but until now many thought that the game would simply be too massive of an undertaking. The title will feature a storyline that both Trails veterans and newcomers alike will be able to enjoy as it tells a standalone story that delves into the expansive lore that has become synonymous with the series.

Players will take on the role of military students at a time of great turmoil, enjoying school life and bonding with fellow students to earn new abilities in battle, then utilizing those abilities via speedy, tactical turn-based combat with the newly-developed “ARCUS” system. At release, players will be able to take advantage of cross-save functionality between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game so they can take the story on the go.

LEGO games are coming out of the woodwork in droves this year aren’t they! Warner Bros. has LEGO Jurassic World coming next week and LEGO Dimensions coming at the tail end of the year, and of course filling in the gap in the middle is LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. Unlike the first LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game, LEGO Avengers will feature a story that is inspired by the hugely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe film franchise. Characters, themes and plot elements will be lifted straight from the films and brought into the world of LEGO for kids (and kids at heart) everywhere to enjoy all over again.

It feels a little weird to say this a week before E3, but we have a brand new trailer from the game to show off! You can check it out below and then let us know in the comments if you will be picking up LEGO Marvel’s Avengers or if LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is good enough for you. Remember to stay locked firmly onto Capsule Computers over the next couple of weeks as we share all of the exciting news E3 and the world of gaming in general.

Nozomi Entertainment Announces ‘Sketchbook ~full colors~’ DVD Release Date

Nozomi Entertainment has just revealed the release date for their upcoming release of the Sketchbook ~full colors~ anime on DVD in North America. The litebox DVD set will be available on September 1, 2015. It has a suggested retail price of $39.99 USD, but is currently available for pre-order here for just $23.99 USD.

The set will contain episodes 1-13 with Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio and English subtitles across three discs. On-disc extras will include Picture Dramas 1-6, the textless opening and ending animation, the promotional video, commercials and the “Dandelion Waterwheel” music video.

Nozomi provided a synopsis for the series:

See the world through Sora’s eyes!

No matter where she goes, Sora takes her sketchbook along. The world is full of mysterious and beautiful things, after all, and Sora doesn’t want to miss a single one. The best way she knows to capture each moment is by drawing and sketching, watching and learning.

However, though Sora is full of wonder, she’s also incredibly shy. She doesn’t have many friends, except for her fellow classmates in the Art Club. But even though they all seem to be slightly crazy (the teacher included), each of them adds another bright color to Sora’s world.

A trailer for the series can be found at the official website here.

For those unfamiliar with the name, the title is based off of the Japanese PopoloCrois comic bok series and has been mixed with the gameplay found in Story of Seasons. This means the title will feature classic turn-based combat as well as a town full of lively and interesting NPCs that contribute to the game’s narrative about “friendship, forgiveness, and the bounty of the earth.”

The title will feature ample farming and life simulation elements allowing for real-time crop-raising, bug-catching, rock-quarrying, item synthesis, relationship forging, and over six hundred different items to collect as they take on the 25+ main storyline that is suplemented by nearly a hundred different quests.

Thanks to a listing by our favourite Australian Classification Board, it seems the previously thought Japan only Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden Nintendo 3DS title will be receiving an English localisation. This 2D fighter is being developed by Arc System Works, the studio responsible for the Supersonic Warriors games for the GBA and DS as well as the Blazblue games, so you can expect really solid 2D sprites and classic gameplay.

Extreme Butoden will sport over 100 characters in one on one and team battles however only a quarter of these characters will be playable with most only being available as Z-assist.
