Alongside Australia and New Zealand, 149 other countries and regions will also be able to play the game which supports multiple languages including English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Portugese, Italian, Dutch, Russian and traditional Chinese. An Android release has confirmed to be in the works.

The second mode is called Toad Rally. This mode lets players compete against the ghosts of friends and other online players for the highest score. A crowd of Toads will cheer you on at the bottom of the screen and if they are impressed enough they might come to live in your kingdom. Nintendo Comments on Status of Wii U in North America

nintendo-switch-promo-01

It seems that despite what Nintendo was initially saying about keeping the Wii U supported going forward, that the company is putting it to bed a few months prior to Switch‘s expected release window. Recently Nintendo Japan announced that they were no longer going to be producing the Wii U in any form and it looks like the same is true in North America.

In speaking to IGN, Nintendo has confirmed that all Wii U hardware in North America for this fiscal year has already been shipped to retailers and no more will be produced. The full comment from Nintendo can be found below:

“As recently posted by Nintendo on the Wii U website in Japan, Wii U production will end in the near future for the Japanese domestic market. We have nothing to announce in terms of exact timing.

We can confirm that as of today, all Wii U hardware that will be made available in the North American market for this fiscal year has already been shipped to our retail partners. We encourage anyone who wants Wii U to communicate with their preferred retail outlet to monitor availability.”

Gravity Rush 2 Goes Gold, Short Clip Released

gravity-rush-2-screenshot-031

It seems that Sony‘s delay for Gravity Rush 2 might not have been needed, at least not entirely, as the game has already gone gold two months ahead of the rescheduled release date. Director Keiichiro Toyama announced on Twitter that the company has finished developing the title and that it will be going into production and that they were able to brush up the game a bit more with the extra time they were given, though considering how cluttered the original release window was, there were more benefits than that.

To go along with this announcement a new short video featuring Kat was also released and you can view it above. As for the game itself, Gravity Rush 2 is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 on January 20th in North America and January 18th in Europe.
