Undercoders will be releasing a i-Spot Japan for the Apple iPhone very shortly. Here are some details about the game. If you’re a fan of Japan you’ll really enjoy this game.
The initial release of i-Spott Japan will contain a totla of 200 locations, divided in 3 levels of difficulty ranging from easy, normal and hard. Every location features 3,4 or 5 spot the differences, depending on the level of difficulty you have selected
From the 200 locations, 30 will be available for free as an initial pack when downloading the game (10 per level), the rest will be DLC as an in-app purchase. This is is great as you can play the game for free and if you like it you can purchase the rest of the locations as you go.
All locations within the game are accompanied by a title, a detailed decription and its location showing its whereabouts on the map. All this information, together with the original pitures can be viewed in gallery mode once that location has been unlocked during the game.
All images are exclusive to i-Spot Japan (there are no stock photos) and they illustrate a wide selection of historical monuments, shrines, temples, castles, food and even lifestyle faces and curioisities, ranging from southern island of Kyushuu to the northern island Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Matsue, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Kyoto, Sendai, Matsue, Aomori, or Sapporo are just a few of the cities portrayed in the game.
i-Spot will also feature online leaderboards which enables players compete for the best times and scores.

Nintendo Australia hosted a fantastic Super Mario Galaxy 2 event on board the STARSHIP SYDNEY (perfect name for a Super Mario Galaxy event) that cruised around Sydney Harbour all evening while selected members of the press / media on board got to experience, play touch and feel first hand the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Wii. The evening kicked off with a great Presentation by Nintendo’s Product Representative Jame Wilson explaining and going through new gameplay mechanics, features and also new outfits that Mario will be able to use in the game plus much much more.
Video presentation (shown just below) introduces you to the new world of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Where you can run, jump, double jump, tripple jump, backflip, fly, ground pound, spin …. ok ok you get my drift … do pretty much anything you wish in an amazing new galaxy fill with color, life and most of all imagination.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is by far the most polished title I’ve ever come across on the Nintendo Wii. It certainly surpasses the original Super Mario Galaxy in leaps and bounds and Super Mario Galaxy was a master piece in every possible way.
On top of what Mario already has in his arsenal and bag of tricks and moves. Nintendo have thrown even more in to give him that little extra advantage when taking on Bowsers evil minions. Not to spoil it for anyone but Mario can now use a drill that can be used to tunnel through surfaces all the way to the other side of a planet, he can also become cloud Mario and create his very own cloud platforms to jump to, and also eat a BOULDER mushroom !!! YES A BOULDER Mushroom that will put him a boulder suit and allow Mario to ram into objects and enemies and even bowl them over like bowling pins … So far from what we’ve seen, looks like Super Mario Galaxy 2 is bowling a perfect game !! STRIKES all the way !!
Along with Mario’s new abilities his friend YOSHI is back and he too has some super cool tricks and updates up his sleave one of which is called the “Dash Pepper” after eating a hot chillie pepper Yoshi will have the ability to run up steep inclines and vertical walls. There are many other super cool abilities but you’ll have to wait until we review the game.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 Blasts Off for another out of this world adventure in Australia on the 1st Of July 2010. Save up your hard earned cash as this is a game you HAVE to own … PERIOD … no questions asked.

Game Informer has done a pretty detailed preview for the saga’s conclusion in Gears of War 3. This special audio tour was done with the participation of the executive producer Rod Fergusson and design director Cliff Bleszinski.

This week Sega started selling their classic Mega Drive games on Steam, as previously mentioned.

Story
Dementium 2 is the sequel to Renegade Kid’s Dementium: The Ward. It is a sequel but it doesn’t follow directly after the first game and has its own story and characters. You play as William Redmoor who receives a brain surgery from a crazy doctor. You wake up in a cell at Bright Dawn Treatment Center. Supposedly you went in to get fixed and better, but instead the doctor releases the darkness within your head. William faces demons and deal with signs that you may have murdered your wife and child as you attempt to escape.
The storytelling is done through a series of full motion videos and a bunch of scattered notes and letters. Many survival horror games use this method to reveal the story, and unless you have a problem with reading everything you come across it shouldn’t bother anyone.
Gameplay
Dementium 2 is a first person shooter survival horror game. Early on you get your first weapon which is a shank and shortly after you will run into your first enemy which you will have to kill with the shank. Melee combat is extremely easy; each weapon has a series of attacks. The shank for instance has 2 small attacks and then a strong attack that knocks over the enemy. Other weapons, such as the sledgehammer, have a different number of attacks. Weapons don’t only help in combat; however, certain weapons like the sledgehammer can open up new routes.
There are guns present in the game as well, but due to a lack of ammo they are meant for emergencies only. Because the ammo is scarce, the game becomes more of a first person beat them up. There is a huge variety in weapons; all of them have different strength and weaknesses. The abundance in diversity lets you pick your combat style and enables for an easier fighting experience with no need to adjust to a forced fighting style.
Puzzles are abundant in Dementium 2. They consist of many different types, from finding a certain item or code to unlock the door, solving a riddle, or figuring out how to open something. The puzzles range from easy to difficult and can be pretty difficult depending on your skill level. They could’ve been harder, but they are a nice break from the continuous killing and exploring.
The changes in Dementium 2 are clear. Anyone coming from the first game into this sequel will notice them immediately and they are for the best. A map on the bottom screen lets you always know where you have been due to highlighted rooms. The weapon switching and Item using has become more streamlined. There is also no need to switch between flashlight and weapon anymore, because single handed weapons can have a flashlight out at the same time. Anyone coming from the first game will not be disappointed in this sequel.
Audio & Graphics
The audio in Dementium 2 has some ups and downs. The soundtrack is haunting and adds to the mood of the game. The screams and moans of enemies also add to the mood. The problems in the audio lays in some muffled, hard to hear voice acting and the music that starts when an enemy starts to attack you. The muffled voice acting ruined some of the story, and caused me to strain to even try to understand what was being said. As for the music that starts when an enemy starts attacking, it ruined the fear in the game for me. Before I could even see the enemy the soundtrack changed and I knew someone was coming after me, I just had to look around and kill them before they could attack me.
The graphics are also very nice. The game runs smoothly and the textures are pristine. The lighting effects are also very nice. Shadow and light is used very well within the game. Early on you will get a flashlight that you can equip to see in the dark areas. The inability to see anywhere outside of the light beam increases the horror of the game.
Overview
The FPS gameplay on the DS is a lot of fun, and Dementium 2 itself is tons of fun. The downfall is that the game is pretty short, and I mean really short for a retail DS game. The survival mode adds a bit, but the actual game can be beaten in a long sitting. Luckily, people who play their DS usually only play on trips so Dementium 2 will last those people quite a few car trips or one really long cross country trip. If you are into survival horror games then you will love every minute, and may even replay it on a harder difficulty. With an improved interface over the first, anyone coming from the first game will not be disappointed in this sequel.
