That right Nintendo see Red this November when in Japan the Red Wii goes on sale.
This limited edition colour comes out next month to mark Mario’s 25th Birthday even know his birthday was in September but hey happy belated birthday Mario.
The bundle will include a Wii, Nunchuck, and pre installed MotionPlus already built into the Nintendo Remote so know more attachments, and a copy of the original Super Mario Bros NES game which also comes pre-installed on the console’s hard drive.
The Red Wii console pack is released in Japan on November 11th for YEN 20,000 which works out to be around £150.
No news yet whether Nintendo will be releasing this Red Wii into the UK market so only time will tell if red is the new black and white.
I think nearly everyone reading this has played and loved Super Mario All Stars for the Super Nintendo. It had some of the best remakes of the original NES Mario titles and was easy to get a hold of which made it “the game” to have in your collection in the 90’s and even today. In some of the most exciting news this year for Mario fans, Nintendo have now confirmed today that a new 25th anniversary box set will be getting a European release!
Here is the official announcement:
Super Mario All-Stars – 25th Anniversary Edition will include a Super Mario All-Stars Disk case containing Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels all on one disk, giving Mario fans four reasons to relive the excitement of these classic games on Wii. And if you missed out on them the first time round, now’s the time to discover four of the reasons why Super Mario has become one of gaming’s most loved series’ of all time.
This new collection will also include a special booklet detailing the full history of Super Mario as well as a real treat for fans of the series – an audio CD containing music from Super Mario games spanning the last 25 years, from the original 1985’s Super Mario Bros. to 2010’s Super Mario Galaxy 2, with classics such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine along the way.
In the quarter of a century since Nintendo game designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s team put the finishing touches to his first major adventure, Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Mario has become one of the most globally recognised characters in the world of entertainment. The Super Mario Bros. series is now the best-selling video game series of all time, with more than 240 million units sold globally
I am extremely excited about this news and pray that we see a release in the U.S.. This box set was just confirmed for Japan only recently so now that an official European release has been announced, I kind of hold out hope that the rest of the world will be getting this Wii compilation very soon. Just look at all the content if your not completely sold. The soundtrack alone is worth it’s weight to me alone and Mario has been needing a new compilation disc for many years so this is wonderful news that Mario is celebrating his 25th Birthday by giving to the fans who grew up on the series during his reign as video game king.
The scheduled date for EU release is December 3rd. If and when any other dates for the U.S. or AU are announced we will be sure to let you know.

Time Crisis Razing Storm will feature extensive gameplay modes that will combine the series’ traditional shooting action with fully destructible environments.

Deadstorm Pirates’ intuitive gameplay mechanics will have players manning the helm, firing guns and cannons, as they travel across the open seas in search for Poseidon’s Breath.
Time Crisis 4:
Revisit the dynamic partnership of Giorgio Bruno and Evan Bernard as they prevent a biological weapon from falling into the wrong hands in the arcade version of Time Crisis 4. Based on the 2007 hit, Time Crisis 4 features fast-paced action that allows players to take cover from a barrage of bullets, lead out, and then engage their enemies in either single or split-screen multiplayer modes.
Does this trailer, remind anyone else about Transformers? The trailer shows off many of the weapons being used against a whole series of robots and other enemies. Holding multiple weapons on your back, and having to carry multiple guns for the occasion is last generation, now one transforming gun can supply all the firepower we could ever need.

For everyone else, the following video gives a lot of information away. Not the least is the fact that there are 44 playable characters, and 42 of them are revealed in the character selection screen. A 43rd character is rumored to be Zetsu (the black and white venus fly trap guy from the series) but I highly doubt it for certain reasons. Any theories on the the 44th character? I’m just looking forward to playing as the Fourth Hokage.
The Dubbed voice of Pain (or at least Nagato’s form) sounds really good.
Anyway, Check out the video for more details if you are interested.
Kingdom Hearts fans in Australia will be excited to know that the newest installment, Re:Coded, has been officially announced for both Australia and New Zealand for the Nintendo DS. The series second entry looks just as promising and if you have not seen the trailer yet that was displayed at the Tokyo Game Show, check it out here.
Along with the announcement came a nice new list of features.
First up was that the “Deck Command” system from Birth By Sleep will be in full use in Re:Coded. This feature allows the player to execute over 100 types of different commands such as attack and recover, with a single button.
You can also experience a wide variety of different battle systems, including side-scrolling boss battles, 3D shooting and even Command Battles – as seen in the Final Fantasy series. I think this will be great as no matter what type of gamer you are, there will be a bit of everything mixed into the title.
The new Stat Matrix will bring the ability to increase and customize Sora’s power and abilities with an exciting new growth system, by placing new chips found in the adventure, into a circuit board. Of course with Disney on board, the experience will be in full color and a much more rewarding and interesting way to level up your stats.
Tag mode is also included and let’s the player create their own custom avatar by collecting components from cleared areas. Players can swap floor maps and avatars with friends and other players and create their own dungeon by collecting maps via Tag Mode.
The official date for the AU region is set at January 14th, 2011. No official date has been given for the U.S. at the moment but I would expect it to be set very close to that date as well. For more information about Kingdom Hearts Re:coded visit the official website at www.kingdomheartsrecoded.com.
I posted a schedule extremely similar to this one about two weeks back in September. This schedule; however, has a few more additions to the schedule. As you can see, next week had 3 game releases; although on is free… so it doesn’t really count. If you notice, the schedule ends before the end of the month is even over. The latest one on the list being “Super Meat Boy” on October 20.
Also, remember that if you spend 2400 Microsoft Points over the course of October – on anything but discounted or DotW stuff – you’ll get 800 Points back. Ill make it easy for you. Comic Jumper, and Super Meat boy’ now go!
