New Trailer for Mario Sports Mix Surfaces…

Mario has been of plenty of Sports titles. Golf, Tennis, Soccer..you get the idea. Every outing has been one great title after another though, and the newest compilation title, Mario Sports Mix, looks to be a perfect entry into the plumber’s vast resume. A new trailer from Japan has risen today showing off the various sports included such as dodgeball, basketball, and volleyball.

The narrator explains all of how these sports work, but you won’t be able to understand all of that since it is in Japanese but the footage really speaks for itself. All of the classic characters such as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Wario and Waluigi can be seen duking it out on the courts and on the field in these brand new sports games. Since E3, dodgeball has been the one sport in this title I am most eager to try out. The game doesn’t launch until early in 2011 exclusively on the Wii, but you can check out the two-minute plus trailer below.

Tron: Evolution Dev Diary

Not to be confused with the movie, this game is being developed to release as a movie game. Yeah, that means it is probably not going to be an awesome game, but it still looks promising.

Check out the dev diary below to see the art behind the game, which oddly seems to focus way too heavily on the reflection used in the game. I’m sure I could’ve thought up more things to say about the art. Oh well, enjoy the short video about the “reflection within the game”.

Tron: Evolution launches on November 26th. Tron: Legacy is in cinemas this December.

Forza 3 Ultimate Collection gives out a Free Sample

Free samples are awesome! Everyone can agree on that. I go into ice-cream stores solely for the free samples and then just leave once I get my fill of ice-cream.

If you have a copy of Forza Motorsport 3 you can pick up a free sample of the new Forza 3 Ultimate Collection from the Xbox Live Marketplace right now. The sample gives a taste of one of the seven exclusive cars included solely in the Ultimate Collection; so now there are only 6 exclusive cars. I don’t know if I’m alright with that, but at least owners of the original version get a free car.

The sample car is the 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, which might tempt Forza 3 owners to trade up to the Ultimate Collection for the additional six cars.

Forza 3 Ultimate Collection bundles every DLC released for the game so far alongside the seven (actually 6) exclusive rides . The other exclusives include the 1971 Chrysler Plymouth Cuda 426 Hemi, 1956 Jaguar D-Type, 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale, Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro, Audi TT RS Coupe and Audi R15 TDI.  ‘Stig’s Garage Car Pack’ is also included, which includes the Lexus LFA, Koenigsegg CCX and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. There’s also some Top Gear-related extras, such as interviews and an Xbox 360 dashboard theme. This package sounds epic!

Go onto the Xbox Live Marketplace now and grab your free Forza 3 Ultimate Collection sample.

Free “Black Ops” gear for Female Xbox Avatars

Guess what?! It seems Activision made a mistake… sadly they only supplied codes for male Avatar Gear in the Hardened and Prestige versions of “Black Ops”. Any female gamer who purchased either, would discover that she was unable to download the avatar gear promised to her.

Due to this error by Activision, any female Xbox Live Avatar can be outfitted in some Call of Duty: Black Ops virtual gear free of charge. The publisher had to quickly make two universal codes in order for females to acquire their female gear This basically allows any account with a female Avatar to nab the two outfits as long as you have the code. Thankfully, some people have shared these codes with everyone on the internet, and they are quickly making their rounds into every female gamer’s pocket.

  • By inputting the code GYVF8-PF7RY-28D7V-VGWV8-CFGRM into your Xbox (or online), you can acquire the “SR 71 Flight Suit”.
  • By inputting the code R76BQ-CR3MF-G2TTF-9G36R-BQWJD into your Xbox (or online),you can acquire the “Woods Outfit.”

Although these codes are universal, previous universal codes have expired in the past; so I suggest to snap these up as quickly as you can.

Sorry Male Gamers, these are for females only, but feel free to try and use the code you’ll only get rejected in the end (unless for some reason you are using a female avatar).

Gal Gun fights with Microsoft over censoring issues

Only in Japan. Gal Gun is a railshooter style game that involves a male character being shot with Cupid’s arrow, which means that every girl that sees him instantly falls in love. What the objective of the game is to find your true love, and avoid all the girls affected by the spell by apparently shooting them with your pheremones. Bit odd of course.

Though there looks to be some problem in the world of Gal Gun. Andriasang has reported that the countdown that had been going on their official website has stopped. With an original release date of January 27th the game has run into some problems with Microsoft. Being a Xbox 360 exclusive Microsoft has some say about what will be happening within the game, and they have some qualms about the contents it appears.

The publisher Alchemist stated that, “Negotiations have started for the great moral cause (panties),” translated via Andriasang. This means that for some reason or another, Microsoft is concerned with the content. Though a game that contains a panic button that changes it to look like an 8-bit RPG game may have a few troubles already huh? A video preview can be seen below, though gotta admit it would be interesting to see this game with the Kinect huh?

Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon Now in Stores!

I think everybody is aware of Black Ops launching, but one game that definitely deserves some attention is Natsume’s latest entry into the Rune Factory franchise, Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. The harvest moon/action RPG is now in stores today with many new features and an updated battle system.

Natsume released this statement in celebration of the launch:

“Rune Factory 3 delivers one of the deepest and richest gaming experiences you’ll find on the Nintendo DS!” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. “You can farm, cook, craft items, battle and tame monsters, and conquer multiplayer dungeons with your friends. However you want to play, the world of Rune Factory 3 is yours to explore!”

Taking control of Micah, an adventurer who is half human and half monster, players will have to unite the humans and the Univir in time to stop the growing evil force that threatens to destroy them both. As well as collecting rare items and having fierce battles, you can also befriend villagers that will lend you their skills in battle.

It goes without saying this game is looking great and worthy of the already much loved and highly successful harvest moon franchise. Check out the trailer below and if you have a Nintendo DS this title is surely worth a second look and as mentioned, is now available.

L.A.Noire comes back to life this Thursday with new trailer

Remember four years ago when L.A. Noire was debuted with a bit of a teaser? Neither do I but Rockstar isn’t about to let that stop it from releasing a brand new trailer this Thursday on November 11th. Rockstar has been calling this trailer the first one that they have ever released, but then again four years is a long time to go without releasing any media for a game.

It will be interesting to see exactly how different the game will appear with four years of development by Australian studio Team Bondi and set in 1947 players will be experiencing the game through the eyes of Cole Phelps, a member of the corrupt LAPD. That is of course what we knew four years ago, but what could have changed since then?

You can catch the old teaser trailer from 2006 below and stay tuned on Thursday to catch the new trailer for LA Noire that comes out sometime next year for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Kinect power supply available from Microsoft

If you bought the Kinect as a standalone accessory to your already owned Xbox 360 then you know that you also received a power adapter for the Kinect, since it can’t run on old 360s without it. But if you were to buy the new Xbox 360 Slim Console that came bundled with the Kinect then you will not be getting a power supply, instead it will run directly off of the console itself.

But what happens if you want to bring your Kinect to a friend’s house, but that friend doesn’t have the new Slim, or a power cord. Then you were out of luck until now because Microsoft has given people the option to purchase the power supply on its own for $35. You could buy it right now, but unfortunately it is already sold out but one can expect it to be restocked soon.

Super Kong will help you out if you have trouble in Donkey Kong Country Returns

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope it’s Super Kong! Or at least that is what we will be seeing if we happen to be having a lot of trouble in Donkey Kong Country Returns. Nintendo has included the Super Guide into the game to help characters when they are having trouble with a certain level, and if they are to die eight different times on one level then Super Kong will be available for use.

Super Kong, who appears as a blue tie wearing silver furred gorilla, will give players an option after their eighth death to let Super Kong help out. Super Kong will be computer controlled and will head through the level until the player decides that they want to take over. While this may seem like a cheap way to get through a level without even giving it a try, any collectibles or bananas will not be collected, nor will any secret shortcuts, or secrets themselves will be revealed. There will even be a mark on the main map in the form of a red dot that shows that players haven’t beaten it on their own.

This is similar to what players were able to experience in the New Super Mario Brothers by having Luigi run through the level instead and let players sit back and watch. It’s nice that Nintendo has put this Super Guide into effect so that it gives players the chance to continue on with the game if they are stuck, and since it doesn’t benefit them with collectibles or secrets then there isn’t even any harm done for those of us worried about a hard platforming experience.
