Bulletstorm parody trailer makes light of Halo 3 trailer

You may remember back when Halo 3 was coming out and Bungie released a trailer that showed off the struggle and horror that the humans were experiencing in the form of figures on a diorama. It was extremely unique, hard hitting, and it tried to set the tone for the seriousness that would come with Halo 3 as it finished the fight.

Well Epic Games has released their own trailer for Bulletstorm in the same format that Bungie used and lets just say they took a different turn as far as seriousness goes. More like not serious at all, as you can see below the trailer follows most of the structure used by Bungie but puts a comedic twist to it. We see a zombie hot dog vendor getting shot in the crotch with a Gatling gun, guys getting eaten by plants and impaled on cacti, and even a zombie getting an explosive suppository. Oh and there is puke too. Catch it below and the game itself when it comes out in stores on February 22nd for the PC, PS3, and 360.

Dead Space outfits to be bought on Battlefield Heroes

EA has always been very supportive of their free-to-play Battlefield Heroes online game. Sure you can buy little additions but that isn’t a necessity. Unless of course you want to look like Isaac Clarke from Dead Space 2 as you do battle now. Yep Electronic Arts has released two different outfits for Battlefield Heroes and they have been named the Titan Security and CEC Advanced suit.

The outfits will be able to be bought together for the price of 1750 BattleFunds which are the game’s form of currency. This means that the outfits will cost over $10 as a $10 purchase will only give you 1400 BattleFunds, meaning a price around $12.75. That seems a bit pricey but they will definitely have you looking unique as you shoot at each other on the battlefield.

3DS may come with a region lock

This isn’t good news for those who like to import different games for their favorite portable handheld. Especially considering the fact that nearly every Nintendo handheld since the original Gameboy hasn’t been region locked, it would be very unfortunate if this rumor turned out to be true. According to Korean website RuliWeb they had inquired Nintendo in Japan about a possible region lock. The Japanese representative responded with to them with the following:

“There are no region codes in DS and DS Lite, but DSi, DSi [XL], and 3DS have region codes. The region codes are installed in each game and the 3DS itself … you can’t play if the region codes are different.”

This isn’t really a big deal to most consumers but there is a relatively large number of consumers that like to import games from Japan that won’t see a release in the US, or even Australia where not even some US games are released. This means that you wouldn’t be able to play a Korean 3DS game on a US 3DS and the vice versa. These currently are only rumors however but we have contacted Nintendo to see if they would elaborate on this rumor.

New Launch Trailer Rises for Ghost Trick…

As someone who has been covering Ghost Trick for a while now, it is a bit hard to believe that the title is in stores as of today. The date did sneak up on me without a doubt, but in light of release of their new title, Capcom have a brand new launch trailer to go along with Sissel’s debut on the Nintendo DS.

In the trailer we get a glimpse at one last scene where Sissel watches a murder…well, not quite a murder as the scene is stopped quickly right as a large object falls onto an energized man, but either way, this launch trailer is great at making you want to finds out more and it seems like this could be a great alternative for Phoenix Wright fans out there as the whole concept of solving a mystery while possessing objects is definitely a bit fresh to the genre.

That being said, check out the trailer below for yourself. Something to note as well is that Capcom has quite the deal going on via their webstore with the Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective New Classics Bundle. This bundle is made up of two Shu Takumi titles, one being Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, the other being Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for just $39.99. If getting both is something that interests you, you can click HERE to be taken to Capcom’s store. If the bundle isn’t your thing, Ghost Trick is now available in stores so get this one in your “possession” today!

Sniper: Ghost Warrior sequel in the works

While a release date and official retail title are unknown, it has been revealed the Polish developer City Interactive are working on a sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior (released on PC and Xbox 360 last year and due to release on PS3 soon).

This isn’t a shock considering the first games sales success, and it held a strong position in the charts for quite a while after its release. Clearly City Interactive are keen to make some more money and understandably so, and although Sniper: Ghost Warrior wasn’t well-received but critics, here’s hoping they nail it second time round.

The game will be powered by Crytek’s CryEngine 3 game engine, and will release on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A release date has not yet been announced, but we’ll try to keep you posted.

New LEGO title announced for DS: LEGO Ninjago – The Videogame

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are teaming up with TT Games to release another family friendly LEGO adventure called LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame for Nintendo DS. Lego: Ninjago: The Videogame follows on from the successful LEGO Battles game, releasing sometime this Spring to complement the steady stream of Lego Ninjago products in shops from today and continuing throughout 2011.

In LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame, players adopt the art discipline of Spinjitzu, where your characters spin and become tornadoes to defeat their foes, all in the name of restoring harmony to the world. The game also features a wide variety of game modes to choose from. Single-player has both “good” and “evil” campaigns, then there’s Battle Mode challenges, and the option to particpate in multiplayer showdowns with friends and family.~

In true LEGO fashion, players can build and customize their own army of Spinjitzu heroes or Skulkin villains as they see fit, then can deploy these armies on missions. Missions offer varying structures from hoarding Ninja weapons to clashing with dragons in sizeable battles.

Tom Stone, Managing Director of TT Games Publishing said “LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame offers players a humorous way to immerse themselves further in the LEGO Ninjago toy line with action packed battles”; adding “It is great to build upon the success of the first LEGO Battles game and expand the LEGO Ninjago world with new and classic LEGO characters.”

Primarily a kids game, LEGO Ninjago: The Videogame looks set to be good fun for all the family. Expect the traditional LEGO brand of humour cropping up, as well as cameo appearances and nods to other titles.

FAXION ONLINE – New Details Emerge.

UTV True Games have recently announced new information on their latest MMORPG offering, Faxion Online.
In Faxion Online players partake in an epic war between the forces of Heaven and the forces of Hell. The battles of this war take place within the Seven Deadly Zones, each named after a particular sin – Greed, Lust, Envy, Pride, Wrath, Gluttony and Sloth.

Faxion online differs from the typical MMORPG in that players will be spending little to no time grinding and the majority of their time in persistent battles between players of the opposing faction. These battles, waged across the Seven Deadly Sins, typically shape the material world of beyond. The mechanics of this game hope to emphasize guild involvement and player co-operation to achieve a satisfactory victory over the opposing forces.

Like most MMO’s you will be required to select a class during the character creation stage, however you are free to multi-class at any point during the game should you have sufficient points to buy a rank in a different tree. Faxion Online offers 3 classes (each changing their title based on the faction you choose) which are –

Fighter (Crusader, Reaver): These appear to be your typical in-your-face fighting class, with their heavy armour and typical weaponry, and should be placed at the front of the line during a battle.

Mage (Diviner, Occultist): Magi would be the main damage dealer of your party, being able to cast spells from a distance to devastate the opposing faction. They’d probably be best played from a distance to the opponent so as to not get disrupted and killed.

Healer (Guardian, Zealot): Healing class, keeps the team alive during battle. Probably the most important unit, so try and keep it alive.

With this game, should you want to, you can also multi-task to one other class plus your main class or even all three. This is likely to have plenty of benefits to players, imagine a Mage in heavy armour or a Fighter with healing abilities. What if you wanted all three? You can do it! Provided you have enough points to purchase a rank in that class. Of course there are drawbacks to doing this as a point in a second class costs more than a point in a first class and a point in a third class will cost more than a point in a second. So it all comes down to the build you want to play as, as well as your own preferred playing style.

For more information, check out the Faxion Homepage.

BradyGames Giving Away Free Digital Bayonetta Strategy Guides…

It is crazy to think that it has been a year since Bayonetta graced consoles, but one thing we didn’t see for the game was an official strategy guide. A guide was supposed to be released and FuturePress did have a very small print of a hardcover version, but sadly the U.S. was left out of that print as well as many other parts of the world leaving gamers to import the guide at a hefty price if they wanted a full run down on the game itself.

Well, those who are still trying to aim for perfection are in luck as BradyGames have released a digital version of what I am guessing is the canceled paperback titled “The Perfect Witch Guide” and are offering it at the low low price of FREE on their website. I know, many of you probably use Youtube or random FAQs out there to get a guide fix, but I have a strange obsession with getting the so called “official” strategies for certain games, and for certain parts of Bayonetta, a guide can really come in handy. Honestly, as in depth as this version is, it is a shame we didn’t see a physical version, but I am thrilled that a digital version has been made available. You can see the official page preview of the guide by clicking HERE, or simply download and enjoy the whole package from the two links below. I have no clue on how long this will be available, so even if you are just planning on purchasing Bayonetta down the road, you might as well grab this download while the getting is good.

THE WILDS HAVE COME TO A STILL AS DARKNESS APPROACHES

Com2uS have once again awarded us with yet another fine RPG game. Inotia 3 : Children of Carnia encompasses the RPG realm with greatness and finesse. The series has been exciting people ever since it was first released and is available on the iPhone/iTouch and the illustrious sized iPad.

Starting the game there are many classes to choose from, those six different character classes are as follows:

The Barbarian – The mighty, the tough, the ultimate fighting machine – of Rage.
The Templar – A holy warrior, that embeds his magical energy into his trusty weapons to strike fear into his opponents.
The Rogue – Stealthy,Fast but Dangerous – in the wrong hands the rouge can be devastating.
The Shadow Hunter – With bow in hand the Shadow Hunter serves Death from a Distance with quiet accuracy.
The Priest – The Hand of the Divine, a kindred spirit that helps those that are in need.
The Arch Mage – The Lord of the Magic and the Elements, all know to fear the Golem master.

With these types of characters you can create your main character and later in the game even create your party members that will suit your taste, pallet and maybe even your playing style. Every time you play Inotia 3 you will find that your story will feel different based on the characters you choose.

In the games settings menu you will find the tab for customizing your game screen. You can customize how you want your icon layout to look aswell as the adjust the opacity, stretch and re-size your icons or grab hold check the maneuverability of all onscreen icons. In essence you can even move the character icons and even the d-pad if you are a south-paw. Being able to move the icons onscreen into any position you want fully customizes your play style.

As your adventure begins the story unfolds into a classic role-playing game where darkness envelopes the land and the hero is young and stupid, but like with all games he quickly wises up and jumps to the task. The story first starts in a world that seems to be a flash back situation shrouded in a sepia outlook, where you play as an unknown character searching for his dear sister until he finds out that she and all his friends have been kidnapped by evildoers as he charges to rescue them all through the charred and crumbling buildings of your village. After the battles and cut scenes you are brought back to the real world, full of color and realism, as a much younger lad, seemingly the reincarnation of the former warrior. And so your journey begins.

Like in the previous sequel Inotia 2 – Inotia 3 features a three cell party based system where you are in control of various characters as your companions. In addition to the party system is that you can switch between playing the hero and your two party members at any time. Additionally you can play with any of your multiple party members that join your cause along your journey making your experience different every time you play the game.

Having access to each party members skill tree you will find yourself able to customize your party members abilities separately aswell as their equipment. You will be able to allocate the characters skill points to further increase their combat skills, ranged attacks or their magic spells to your liking. When your have acquired an Awakening Talisman you will then be able to unlock skill that your party members have had no previous access to, making them grow stronger and dare i say meaner.

This game is massively larger than its fore-bearers, enticing the player with well over 200 quests that will take you searching the wilderness while hack’n’slashing your way over and around 130 beautifully rendered maps to explore and conquer the lands and hideouts of the denizens of the dark and extinguish their evil flame.

Com2uS have given us a game of epic proportions. Along with the dazzling special effects and sound effects that you see and hear will enhance your gaming experience, is a storyline that will have any player immersed in a world that will leave them unable to put down their iDevice. The story takes the player back and forth in time showing the main hero’s lives on several occasions (the world of SEPIA), until finally being zapped back to the reality to continue on his crusade against the hordes of darkness.

Inotia was good, Inotia 2 was better, but Inotia 3 leaves its predecessors in its dust. History has proven its worth time and time again along the sands of time. Can you prove your worth and save the world from the destruction of the darkness once more..?!
