In League of Mermaids, players must “Match 3”, but can also mess with their opponents by placing items strategically. Through the use of physics, players drop items in an attempt to “Match 3” and achieve victory. It is assumed that this is harder than it sounds.
Legacy Games, the game’s publisher, lists the following as the games features. These can be seen in the quotebox below:
League of Mermaid’s features include:
· Deep and Challenging Gameplay – 45+ all-new levels to clear and master, with new levels upcoming in free updates.
· Strategic Elements – Players can use obstacles like wheels and other objects to move around the pearls in a fun, physics-based engine made popular with Atlantis: Pearls of the Deep. Players can earn the Three-Star Ranking by completing optional goals in every level, thereby unlocking new power-ups, levels and game modes.
· New Power Ups – New features include powerful new ways to clear pearls, such as the Artifact Meter and Crystal Hearts
· Play Zen mode and the unique Bottomless Trench – Play randomized levels in Zen Mode for unlimited replay. The unique Bottomless Trench fills a stage with never-ending pearls and challenges players to clear as many pearls as possible within a time limit.
· Epic New Saga – Join with the League of Mermaids to save their home.
· Additional Languages – English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Swedish, and Japanese.
Oz Comic-Con is under a month away but that doesn’t mean the guest list is done being added to. Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman, known for his roles across film, television and video games, will be attending both days of the Melbourne Oz Comic-Con event.
Ron Perlman has done a number of roles, one of his biggest (literally, he looks huge in these movies) roles was playing the title character in the Hellboy films. He currently stars as Clarence ‘Clay’ Morrow, the main antagonist in the critically acclaimed television series Sons of Anarchy.
Ron Perlman is one of many guest that continue to be added to the Oz Comin-Con Melbourne line up. Last week the legendary William Shatner (Star Trek, Boston Legal) was announced as a guest alongside Shannen Doherty (Beverly Hills 90210, Charmed), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Saw, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) and The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Patricia Quinn and Nell Campbell.
Oz Comic-Con Melbourne is on July 6 and 7 at the Royal Exhibition Building and looks to be even bigger than last year’s event. Check out the Official Website for more information on guests, events and ticket enquiries Will you be attending Oz Comic-Con this year? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to Capsule Computers as we will be covering the event as it happens when the time comes.
Day one of E3 2013 has been and gone. We have seen New IPs, beloved franchises, Master Chief wearing a cloak, Sora’s return, Snake riding on a horse, and Sony taking shots at Microsoft. It has been great, but now it is time to shift focus. Nintendo have always been out on their own, not following trends of the others and definitely carving their own path. This year’s E3 will be no exception, as they have forgone the traditional E3 Press Conference in favor of a Nintendo Direct Video.
I have always been a huge Nintendo fan, and for me the most exciting part of E3 has always been when the “Holy Trinity” of Reggie Fils-Aime, Satoru Iwata, and Shigeru Miyamoto take to the stage. It is like the inner child in me awakens, and all the bright colours of the Nintendo IPs, and memories of my younger years come flooding back. My eyes become glued to the screen, and screams of glee are let out when a beloved franchise gets a new game. This year, instead of just sitting at my computer thinking to myself “Awesome!” or “I knew it!” I decided to get my predictions out for the world to see, and not only that but the Capsule Computers Crew have joined in on the fun.
So I give you, the Capsule Computers Nintendo E3 Predictions:
Andrew Day
First thing I want to predict is Super Smash Bros. U. We know it will be discussed, but Nintendo have said previously that they didn’t expect to have much to show at E3. I think this might be a misdirection, and we will get at least a trailer. This trailer will showcase the big 4: Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu much like the Brawl trailer did before. However, this time it will end with “Challenger Approaching” and we will be treated to the first of our brand new characters on the roster: Zoroark! Zoroark has been featured heavily in Pokemon Black & White and their sequels, and with a new generation on the horizon it will be a way for fans everywhere to have Pokemon on the brain.
We also know that Super Mario U will be shown, we know very little about it other than the fact that it is a 3d Mario game, and will be on WiiU. I am laying my cards on the table and saying that it WONT be Super Mario Galaxy 3, and it WONT be called Super Mario Universe. I feel that is too obvious for the Big N, who have always managed to bring a sense of flair and unexpectedness to the gaming scene.
If I gave all my WiiU predictions we will be here all night. Instead I want to shift focus to the 3ds for my “straight out of left field” prediction: a Donkey Kong 64 remake or sequel. One of the most beloved games on Nintendo 64 has been lost to the ages, ever since Rare was sold to Microsoft. However, with Donkey Kong Country Returns and its 3d remake, I see there being a possibility for arguably one of the best games on the 64 to make a big return. You heard it here first, folks!

It has been 10 long years since we last saw Captain Falcon and friends. I think that now is the perfect time to revive the F-Zero franchise for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. I’d prefer the series to be a mix of racing and adventure, with a full-blown story similar to the F-Zero anime series, F-Zero GP Legend. I think that F-Zero is a franchise that Nintendo has never really used to the fullest of its potential and now is the time to do it. Have Retro Studios make the game and have connectivity between the Wii U and the 3DS, allowing players to take the race with them on the go. I can also imagine some great features like track/vehicle/character creation and online multiplayer. F-Zero is a franchise brimming with potential. Nintendo needs to make something with this IP and the Wii U and 3DS are perfect for it.
I also strongly believe that Nintendo will reveal a brand new Fire Emblem title. In the past the Fire Emblem series has alternated between handheld and home consoles. With the success of Fire Emblem: Awakening, I can very easily see a similar title make its way onto the Wii U. The Wii U gamepad seems to be a perfect fit for this style of game and the Fire Emblem franchise is one that can really be a system seller for the Wii U, if Nintendo put as much into promoting it as they did for Fire Emblem: Awakening. I hope to see a new Wii U Fire Emblem.

In recent news from SEGA, Sonic Team had signed an exclusivity deal with Nintendo ensuring that the next three Sonic the Hedgehog games will be on Nintendo platforms, specifically the WiiU and 3DS. While we already know that two of these titles are Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics 2, and Sonic Lost World, the third game is still a mystery, although there has been significant speculation that Mario and Sonic might finally be getting their very crossover adventure. The prospect is certainly an exciting one, and one I know that many retro game fans will love to see.
Speaking of crossovers, Smash Brothers 4 is one that Nintendo fans far and wide are praying to hear about. The biggest question on everyone’s lips: Who will the newcomers be? This reviewer has a number of predictions,. In fact, how about a short CC Top 10? Let’s call it CC Top 10 Abridged! A list of Smash Bros hopefuls, as well as their potential Final Smashes!
10) Ridley (Metroid) – Flyby Slash
9) Girahim (Zelda) – Summon Demise
8) Magnus (Kid Icarus) – Power Slash
7) Krystal (Starfox) – Mental Blast
6) Shulk (Xenoblade Chronicles) – Activate Monardo
5) King K Rool – Kremling Cannonball
4) Geno (Super Mario RPG) – Geno Blast
3) Chrom (Fire Emblem) – Sol Aether
2) Isaac (Golden Sun) – Summon Judgement
1) Megaman (Megaman) – Super Megaman combination
I’ve got my fingers cross on all of them, but the one I’d love to see more than any other, either as a new game announcement or even for a position on the smash roster would be a new instalment of Golden Sun. The last game was left on one HELL of a cliffhanger, and we’ve only covered the stories of HALF of the children of vale. The series has the direction. It has the backstory. It has the fan desire. Let’s see it!
Besides these three major franchises, some additional predictions I would certainly like to see would be new instalments of Starfox, F-Zero and the inevitable Majora’s Mask remake.

‘The Dark Sorcerer’, as the demo is called, is not in development as a full title, but it does utilise the 3D model of the old man that David Cage used to exemplify the power of the PS4 at Sony’s ‘Future of PlayStation‘ event. It is quite tongue-in-cheek, and a certain twist may remind some of a certain Hollywood blockbuster that came out only recently. You can check out a snippet embedded below, with the full 12 minute demo to be uploaded on playstation.com tomorrow at approximately 6am AEST.
The trailer – which can be viewed embedded at the bottom of this article – shows off more natural environments as opposed to the sprawling metropolis made of glass and concrete (or the equivalent of) displayed in its reveal trailer back at the ‘Future of PlayStation‘ event. It also heavily focuses on exhibiting the abilities of a deployable drone of sorts, that can put up a shield, stun and shoot down enemies depending on your command.
Keep it locked to Capsule Computers for all future Killzone: Shadow Fall updates.
Sony and Evolution Studios continue to blow people away with the photo-realistic look of DriveClub. A new E3 2013 trailer has been released, and can be viewed embedded at the bottom of this article.
There’s not much else to say as a picture paints a thousand words. I think at first, when the reveal trailer for DriveClub was revealed, people misinterpreted it as real footage/CG. But now people are coming around to realise that this is in-game, and it looks incredible.
Again, check out the E3 trailer out for yourself below and stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all future DriveClub updates.
Here’s some news for the underground/alternative manga fans out there, Viz media will be releasing the fifth and final volume of I’ll Give It My All… Tomorrow around mid-July this year.
The manga was created by Shunju Aono and was published in Monthly Ikki Magazine from 2007-2012. The story focuses around 40 year old Shizuo Oguro, who is fed up with his normal everyday job and decides to quit. Due to his overall laziness, his sudden decision is not well received by his father or daughter. With all the free time he now has, Shizou focuses on becoming a successful manga artist… after he’s finished playing video games, drinking with his mates and lying around all day.
The art style and story plot is not what many manga fans will be used to, but it is an interesting read about a middle aged man who you’d just love to hate. In an interview about the manga, Aono says he was drawing in that style ever since he was young and describes Shizou as a bad example for people. Click hereto check out the Viz media section for the manga.
A live-action adaptation of the manga has been made and will be released in Japan on the 15th of June.

We also see a glimpse of co-op action, which has been showcased with a larger focus in an earlier trailer.
