Cool, calm and collected

Amidst the crowds and chaos of Supanova 2013, I was fortunate enough to take a breather and interview the wonderful and incredibly mellow Greg Cipes. Most well known for his roles as Beast Boy and Kevin Levin, from Teen Titans and Ben 10 respectively, he shed light upon the intricacies and experiences of voice acting along with his own personal philosophies on life. We were also lucky enough to be  treated to a sneak peek of an upcoming song from his band Super Space Fighters, coming out later this year.

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep Now Available

While the last DLC for Borderlands 2 was not part of the Season Pass, but did add a psychotic new character, the newest DLC is the final piece of the Season Pass giving access to “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep”. For the launch of this new DLC then, 2k Games and Gearbox Software have released a trailer showing off what players can expect from the crazy mind of one of Borderlands 2‘s most infamous characters.

Borderland 2 is known for it’s more outlandish stylized approach and, from the trailer, it looks like they are going one better by setting up the entire DLC as a table top game run by Tiny Tina herself. With tropes from the fantasy world, as seen with Ellie wearing a Leia slave-esque outfit stating “This ain’t going protect me for balls, but feel pretty hot right now. Ain’t gonna lie.”

Players wanting to see what “Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep” will have in store for them can view the launch trailer embedded below, while those wanting to download the DLC for Borderlands 2 can download it for free with the Season Pass or, or those without the Season Pass, for 800 MS Points on Xbox 360, $9.99 on PS3 or PC. Interview with Cristina Vee

The "Anime Queen" herself!
The “Anime Queen” herself!

This year, much like all other years, the stars at Supanova Sydney were really shining the way nature intended, the fans were burning with the force of a thousand suns in anticipation to see them all! Sounds pretty intense right? Well, yeah, it was and although she was placed right in the middle of such a big event, just like her fellow stars, the voice acting superstar Cristina Vee took some time out of her “chock-a-block” day to sit down with us at Capsule Computers for a short interview.

She has so many fans that love her for her characters in both the anime series K-on! and Madoka Magica but my interview with her went in a bit of a different direction, sorry to disappoint you K-on!/Madoka Magica fans. Today we spoke about her big role in the game Skullgirls, both as a voice actress and large role as a voice director, we also spoke about the nerves that come with acting and ways that those feelings can actually be overcome and, in some cases, actually help when acting.

It’s all in the interview which you can find in our Featured Video section below. I’d like to personally thank Cristina Vee for taking the time to sit with us and do the interview and I’d also like to thank Supanova Sydney for giving us the space in which to do so.
