Come Sit on Fork Parker’s, er, Santa’s Lap and Tell Him How Much You Want a PlayStation®4 This Christmas

Come Sit on Fork Parker’s, er, Santa’s Lap and Tell Him How Much You Want a PlayStation®4 This Christmas

Devolver Digital is Giving Away a PlayStation®4 This Week to One Lucky Fan Because Their PR Team is Rad – PlayStation®4 Prize Will Also Include Pre-Release Hotline Miami 2 Download*

AUSTIN, TEXAS – December 18, 2013 – PlayStation 4’s may be sold out in stores across the U.S. but Devolver Digital has your back: fans are now able to submit a 30-second video entry via YouTube to Devolver Digital on why they deserve a PlayStation 4 this holiday. Entries can be submitted from now until noon Austin, Texas time on the 23rd of December. One lucky winner will get a PlayStation 4 and a pre-release download for Hotline Miami 2 on PSN when it’s ready to go.

“My first thought was to either sell it online for a tidy profit or set it on fire in front of some overzealous fanboys but then our PR team said we had to give it away because that’s what baby Jesus would want,” said Fork Parker, CFO of Devolver Digital.

How to make it happen:

1. Only entries from the United States are eligible to win. Sorry, this is the only way we can appease the monsters we keep chained up in the legal department.

2. Keep the video entrees under 30 seconds and on YouTube only, telling Devolver Digital and Fork Parker why they deserve to win. That’s like half a minute, so make it count!

3. Entrants must submit their link in a tweet to @DevolverDigital and follow @DevolverDigital to be eligible to win. One entry per Twitter/YouTube user.

4. Winner will be notified via Twitter direct message so if you don’t follow @DevolverDigital and you win, you actually lose. People will call you a loser.

5. If you don’t win, you should still totally buy a PlayStation 4. They’re slick.

*Hotline Miami 2 retail key will be delivered when it becomes available.

arkham-origins-copperhead-01

Copperhead is one of the more unique enemies that players face off against in Batman: Arkham Origins, which may have fans wondering how Warner Bros. Montreal went about adapting the villain to the game. So, a new video has been released just today delving into the process of just that.

From setting up the stage for mocap, to picking out the actresses to portray Copperhead in the mocap itself, the video gives a good idea of what the developers were going for. Those wanting to see how they brought Copperhead to life in Arkham Origins can check out the video embedded below.

Anyone that hasn’t had a chance to face off against Copperhead for themselves can find Batman: Arkham Origins on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC, but be sure to check out our own Review to see what we thought of the game.

PlayStation 4 Australian Stock Update

PS4-Sold-Out-01

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia (SCE Aust.) have confirmed the imminent restocking of the PlayStation 4 in Australia. Those with unfulfilled pre-orders will finally be able to pick theirs up in February. Thousands more units will become available in the month for those who had not gotten their pre-orders in. Michael Ephraim, Managing Director at SCE Aust., said;

Since launch on November 29 our priority has always been to get additional stock into Australia as quickly as possible to fulfil the overwhelming demand. The best way to guarantee your PS4 in February is by going to your preferred retailer, either in store or online, before Christmas to place your pre-order. With this announcement, it looks like Christmas will come again in February for players across Australia.

PlayStation 4 has already broken global hardware sales records with a whopping 2.1 million units sold in its first two weeks, making it the biggest launch for a console game system in history.

Deus Ex: The Fall gets an Augmented Price for the Holidays

Deus-Ex-The-Fall-Screen-02

Just in time for the holiday period, Square Enix have announced a massive, and I do mean MASSIVE price drop for their hit mobile title: Deus Ex: The Fall. The first Deux Ex title to appear on mobile devices has dropped down to an amazing $0.99 (that is 85% off its usual price!).

The Fall is set in 2007, and features characters from the Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect original novel. In fact, the game takes place immediately after the conclusion of the book, and allows fans to continue the story. We reviewed Deus Ex: The Fall back when it came out, and were incredibly impressed with what it had to offer.

If you haven’t grabbed this game already, then there is no reason to not do so RIGHT NOW! You can grab it from the App Store. Will you be grabbing Deus Ex and playing it through the holiday period? Let us know in the comments below, and remember to stay tuned to Capsule Computers for all the Deus Ex news as it becomes available.
