Alien: Isolation’s First DLC Pack Corporate Lockdown Out October 28

Alien-Isolation-Corporate-Lockdown-Screenshot-01

The first of Sega and Creative Assembly‘s five planned add-on packs for Alien: Isolation will be available before the end of this month. ‘Corporate Lockdown’ gives the player a new character in Seegson Executive Ransome to embody as they tackle three additional challenge maps in Survivor’s Mode, and perhaps attempt to complete all three back-to-back, without dying, in the newly provided Gauntlet mode.

Ransome realises that his employers have abandoned him upon Sevastopol Station. Set during the days just before the Torrens’ arrival, Ransome decides to make a daring escape that would see him board the incoming Weyland-Yutani ship, all the while carrying decoded Nostromo data (those who’ve played the first hour of Alien: Isolation are piecing this together as they read it). However, he decides to take care of loose-ends with what little time remains before the crew’s ETA. The three maps, ‘Severance’, ‘Scorched Earth’ and ‘Loose Ends’ present unique objectives during the process of escaping the station. Side quests, as well as some hidden bonus objectives, are also included.

‘Corporate Lockdown’ will be downloadable from October 28 for MSRP $7.99/€6.99/£5.59, with four more add-on packs to come in ‘Trauma’, ‘Safe Haven’, ‘Lost Contact’ and ‘The Trigger’. Each will follow the same format in regards to content; new character, new maps, new mode. If you are keen to explore the Sevastopol to the fullest extent, then save 20% by purchasing the Season Pass. All DLC will be released by March, 2015. Just remember, “Nobody’s clean; everyone’s got a little dirt on them. You just gotta know how to use it to make them squirm.”

project-cars-preorder-bonus-02

If you were hoping to add another racer to your next-gen console’s backlog then we have a bit of bad news for you. Project Cars, which was originally meant to be released in November, has been delayed until March 20, 2015. This delay affects all versions of the game, including the PC release, and Bandai Nacmo has said that the reason for the delay is not only to “extend and polish” the game but also to move away from some of the more competitive titles that come out in the holiday season.

We recently had some hands-on time with Project Cars and you can check out our impressions of the title here.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection to require 65 GB of hard drive space

halo-master-chief-collection-screenshot-05

Recently Microsoft announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection had gone gold and with that came a bit of good news and bad news. The good news is that the game will now be released on November 11th almost everywhere in the world, except for a few countries who will be see the title released a few days later. As for the bad news, well you better make sure that you have plenty of hard drive space open when the game is released.

You see, Halo: The Master Chief Collection uses up the entirety of the 45 GB Blu-ray disc and on top of that there will be a 20GB content addition that will be downloaded alongside the installation. The reason for this massive install size is because Microsoft did not wish to cut any corners when it came to releasing these titles nor did they want to force players to swap between different discs when they want to switch between the four games included in the collection.
