Far Cry Primal Map Recycled from Far Cry 4

far-cry-primal-screenshot-003

It appears that Ubisoft took a little shortcut when it came to Far Cry Primal. The people over at Gamepressure must have had a hunch that they had seen the lay out of Far Cry Primals map before and it turns out they were right. After comparing the basic features, such as the layout of the rivers, ponds, and explorable land, Far Cry Primal‘s map is extremely similar to the one found in Far Cry 4, though one is set in Eastern Europe during the Stone Age and the other is in the modern day Himmalayas.

far-cry-primal-maps-001

The enlargeable comparison image can be seen above with Far Cry 4 shown to the left and the map from Far Cry Primal on the right. Considering the fact that Far Cry Primal has been out for a little over two weeks now and no one that has reviewed the title nor any of the people playing the game since then seemed to have caught on, I must say that Ubisoft’s team has done a stellar job making this recycled map feel fresh, though it isn’t the best thing to be revealed for the company.

Parrot Bebop 2, the all-in-one drone!

Parrot Bebop 2, the all-in-one drone!
The first 500g leisure drone with 25 minutes flight time.

Parrot, the expert and pioneer in consumer drones, unveils the Bebop 2, a new generation leisure quadricopter with unprecedented performance.

With true technical prowess, the Bebop 2 is compact, robust, stable and very light (500g). Equipped with the latest generation of sensors and technology, it boasts 25 minutes flight time with no equivalent!

With impressive stability, power and manoeuvrability, even in extreme conditions, the Bebop 2 offers very easy-to-use piloting with a smartphone or a tablet via Wi-Fi.

Its embedded fisheye camera, digitally stabilised on 3-axis, takes Full HD videos with perfect flow and impressive brightness.

The Bebop 2 is compatible with the Skycontroller Black Edition, an optional RC-like controller providing an extended flight range (up to 2 Kilometres).

Availability: Late March 2016
RRP: AU$899.99 / NZ$949.00

When flying becomes child’s play…

The Bebop 2 is piloted very easily and with no training needed via the FreeFlight 3 App for smartphones and tablets. Once unboxed, it is immediately ready for adventure!

Tilting the piloting device indicates the direction (forward, backward, left, right), and the Bebop 2follows with precision. When the “landing” button is touched, the drone automatically lands smoothly, whatever its altitude.

During flight, Bebop 2 offers remarkable stability and manoeuvrability, even in tough conditions, thanks to an autopilot unlike any other on the market.

Data collected by seven sensors is analysed and merged thanks to the impressive calculation capability of its on-board computer (dual-core processor with CPU quad-core):
A vertical stabilisation camera takes an image of the ground every 16 milliseconds and compares it to previous images to determine the speed of the Bebop 2.
An ultrasound sensor analyses the flight altitude up to 5 metres, complemented by a pressure sensorup to that level.
A pressure sensor measures air pressure and analyses fight altitude beyond 5 metres.
3-axis gyroscope measures the bank angle of the drone.
Accelerometer measures the positioning of the drone on 3 axis and its linear speed.
3-axis magnetometer helps define the position of the drone like a compass.
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) chipset (GPS + GLONASS) geolocalises the drone and helps measure the speed in order to stabilise the drone at high altitudes.
Powerful, robust, reliable with up to 25 minutes flight time!
To make the Bebop 2 the most advanced leisure drone on the market, Parrot engineers optimised the design of the quadricopter as well as its software and hardware battery components.

The result is that the Bebop 2is the most efficient 500g drone on the market, especially with its up to 25 minutes flight time. (Rechargeable lithium-ion 2700 mAh)

  • A powerful robot
On the propulsion side, the four three-blade propellers powered by four brushless outrunner engines, offering great manoeuvrability during high speed flights.

The Bebop 2 achieves bursts of speed up to 60km/h horizontally and 21km/h vertically.
It reaches its maximum speed in 14 seconds, brakes in 4.5 seconds and resists head winds up to 63km/h! It can reach an altitude of 100 metres in less than 20 seconds.
    ·        Technologically reliable and robust
Connected in Wi-Fi MIMO (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) to the piloting smartphone/tablet, the Bebop 2 has a perfectly stable connection up to 300 metres.

In addition, numerous systems reinforce the safety of the flights: emergency cut-out feature of the engines, emergency cut-out feature of the propellers in case of contact, limitation of the altitude and of the flight perimeter, automatic return home feature.

Its glass fibre reinforced (20%) PA12 chassis and its shockproof feet ensure high robustness of the structure.
At the back of the machine, a LED enables the pilot to understand the direction of the flight while keeping the drone in sight.

The flying action camera
Bebop 2 integrates a 14 megapixel “fisheye lens” specifically designed front facing camera.
Images are streamed live on the screen of the piloting device.
The pilot can digitally change the angle of the camera up to 180° by sliding a finger on the screen.
It can film or take pictures vertically!

Digitally stabilised on 3-axis thanks to powerful algorithms, images are bright, perfectly stable and all without distortion.
Recorded in Full HD (1080p) on the 8 GB flash memory of the Bebop 2, videos and photos (16:9; 4:3; fisheye) can be transferred into the piloting device or a computer.

Parrot Skycontroller Black Edition, the intense flying experience

The Bebop 2 is compatible with Parrot Skycontroller Black Edition, an optional RC-like remote control that enables an extended Wi-Fi range up to 2 kilometres!
The pilot takes the helm of the drone via two hand controllers equipped with joysticks. The buttons of the controller can be customised to adapt to each profile.
Running on Android, Parrot Skycontrollerembeds the FreeFlight 3 piloting application, making it possible to pilot the drone without a smartphone or tablet.

For an extreme experience, the Skycontrollerconnects via HDMI with the latest generation of FPV glasses (First Person View). Acting as a co-pilot, a user can enjoy an immersive view of the flight and see live telemetry information as if they were seated in the Bebop 2.

A ‘Radar’ is also displayed on the smartphone/tablet piloting screen or on FPV glasses, showing the position of the Bebop 2 in relation to the Skycontroller, as well as its direction. Pilots can also see if the drone is flying to the limit of the Wi-Fi signal generated by the Parrot Skycontrollerantenna. This will help the pilot to stay connected to the quadricopter, by following the directions displayed on the screen, to ensure a strong signal connection.

Free Flight 3
The FreeFlight 3 piloting App is available for free on AppStore and Google Play. It offers intuitive piloting and gives access to numerous settings as well as the Drone Academy.

Bebop 2 pilots can download the in-app purchase ‘Flight Plan’ to create very easily their own automatic flight plans.*

SDK for developers: Bebop 2 has a platform dedicated to developers so they can create original and innovative Apps.

Fly Responsibly!
Expert pilots or beginners should take the commands of a leisure drone in a responsible way and in accordance to local rules and regulations, including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
To fully enjoy your Bebop Drone, Parrot highlights some safety instructions:
– Never lose sight of your Bebop Drone;
– Don’t approach or film people without their consent;

UBISOFT AND MASSIVE COMMITT TO DELIVER REGULAR POST-LAUNCH CONTENT FOR TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION™

UBISOFT AND MASSIVE COMMITT TO DELIVER REGULAR POST-LAUNCH CONTENT FOR TOM CLANCY’S THE DIVISION™

Free updates to start from next month with new features and challenges, paid expansions to follow from summer to winter

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — March 4, 2016 – Ubisoft has revealed the post-release plans for Tom Clancy’s the Division.  This evolving online open world RPG will keep players engaged with on-going content that will build on the experience within the game long after release.

Following launch, players will be able to take on new tasks and challenges within the main storyline and end-game through daily and weekly missions as well as Dark Zone events. In addition to these ongoing activities, two free updates will be available to all players, adding new features and most-wanted functionalities:

  • Incursions: In April, the first free update will introduce the first incursion, a new challenging end-game activity developed specifically for squad play. Teams will be able to test their skills as they face seemingly unstoppable enemies to gain high-level weapons and equipment. This update will also add one of the community’s most-wanted feature, loot trading; allowing players in the same group to trade loot collected during a co-op game session.
  • Conflict: In May, the second free update will add new features to the Dark Zone and add a new incursion in the iconic Columbus Circle.

Three paid expansions will also be released over the course of the year and be will available in the Season Pass, the Gold Edition and the Sleeper Agent/Collector’s edition of the game. Each expansion builds on The Division, continuing the player’s journey and progress with new content, gear and gameplay:

  • Expansion I: Underground

Available in June, this first major expansion lets players explore the uncharted underworld of New York City. Players will chase deadly enemies with up to three other Agents through an endless maze of tunnels and subways.

  • Expansion II: Survival

Available this winter, this expansion will challenge players to survive as long as possible by gathering essential supplies in a very hostile environment.

  • Expansion III: Last Stand

Next summer, a new threat rises as players and their squad must prepare to defend against a relentless foe.

Tom Clancy’s the Division will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8th.
