Shadow Warrior 3 Announced With Corporately Mandated Teaser Trailer

Gameplay Reveal set for Devolver Direct on July 11 @ 12:00PM Pacific

Warsaw, Poland (July 6, 2020) – The talented group of nerds at Flying Wild Hog along with the less talented suits at publisher Devolver Digital have announced Shadow Warrior 3, a stunning new entry in the global best-selling franchise. Shadow Warrior 3 marks the triumphant return of fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and launches the offbeat first-person shooter series to the next level.

Shadow Warrior 3 finds Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embarking on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon’s egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to tear down the encroaching Shadowlands.

“We are beyond excited to bring Shadow Warrior fans a completely fresh experience, and we can’t wait to show off the new features we have in store for them. We want to make sure that our fast-paced gunplay sequences, razor-sharp melee combat, and spectacular free-running movement, will get their adrenaline pumping and senses thumping,” remarked Game Director Kuba Opoń.

“But we never forget Flying Wild Hog’s roots and we hope that Shadow Warrior 3 will feel like a homecoming for those fans that have been with us since the beginning. And we can’t wait to introduce new players to Lo Wang, our quick-witted hero with a tongue as sharp as his katana. Shadow Warrior 3 will see him face a threat so huge it may be too big even for him to handle.”

Shadow Warrior 3 is set to unsheathe a gameplay trailer during this year’s Devolver Direct on July 11 at 12:00PM Pacific via Twitch [twitch.tv/twitchgaming] with previews, interviews, and more to come the following week.

Adoring fans and newcomers alike can snatch Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital’s first two Shadow Warrior games on Steam at 75 percent off during the current Summer Sale. All other important marketing will roll out through shadowwarrior.com and @ShadowWarrior on Twitter.

Please Be Happy, Slobbish Dragon Princess, and More Visual Novels Licensed by Sekai Project

Alongside announcing a number of release windows for previously revealed projects, Sekai Project has also announced a number of new visual novels that they are planning on bringing out in the future. These games have no release windows at this time but this first one is set to be released on both the PC as well as the Nintendo Switch when it is released and it happens to be called Please Be Happy from Studio Élan.

Please Be Happy‘s storyline is described as follows: Born as a fox in the forest of Korea, Miho carries with her the memory of a traveler who showed her kindness and spoke of home. Despite her years spent observing humans, she still has a lot to learn about their culture and society. She’s made a living so far as a thief, her heightened senses allowing her to easily take advantage of people. She’s also seen a lot of the worst of what mankind has to offer. It’s only after meeting Juliet, the owner of a small library, and Aspen, an aspiring novelist, that Miho starts to understand what kindness is, and that there’s more than just the bad stuff when it comes to people.

The second title happens to be the Whirlpool developed Slobbish Dragon Princess which features a main character that lives in a dilapidated dojo. He and his family are known martial artists, but his father is a deadbeat; a gambling drunkard constantly getting into fights. Meanwhile, he refuses to work, claiming it to be part of his training. Ichinose Suzuka from the neighboring sweets shop often takes care of him.One day, he picks up a strange, lizard-like being on the side of the road.

At first, he planned to cook it, but Suzuka vetoes the idea. Instead, he names it “Haru” and keeps it as a pet. As he grows fonder of Haru, dragonkin suddenly invade from space. The dragons are about to take over earth, but Haru suddenly transforms from a lizard into a beautiful lady and persuades them! Down a stretch of highway and far from the heart of the town are two such people, Leon and Lucia, who run a small diner.

Together with Aisia and newcomers Rebecca and Mari, they lean on each other to survive in this arid land. Those peaceful days come to an end when Leon hears the sound of a telephone, a Relic from the past and is informed that Cullen, a member of the town vigilante corp, is being held hostage. What is it that the kidnappers seek from Leon? Will this lead to an understanding of the disaster that befell the world in the past?

Finally Sekai Project announced that they will be continuing to bring the 9-nine- series over to English speaking audiences with episode 4 being the next on the way. While the company did provide details about the game, they feature heavy spoilers about previous entries in the game but you can check the trailer above if you wish to learn more.
