Working closely with the Rare Studio to bring the popular characters to life, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees Banjo and Kazooie taking their place on the starting grid alongside classic SEGA characters such as Sonic, AiAi, Amy, Knuckles and Ryo Hazuki. As well as mastering the drift system to get the best out of the tracks, and picking up weapons such as Sonic speed boots and homing rockets along the way, Banjo and his faithful sidekick Kazooie will be able to unleash their own unique All-Star move in a bid to cross the finish line in pole position!
This looks fantastic .. first we get Ryo from Shenmu, now we get Banjo and his troublesome sidekick Kazooie join in on the fun. I wonder who else will end up in this super looking Racer. Only time will tell 😉
Sony has given the go-ahead to Quantic Dream to try something new with trophy implementation in the upcoming release of Heavy Rain. The game will have trophies but you will not know you unlocked one until the chapter you are playing has finished. Quantic Dream’s CEO Guilaume de Fondaumiere advised that the game’s trophy alerts will be on a delay to eliminate interruption of the game flow during tense crime-scene investigation scenes. He hopes that the game’s mood is held intact by rewarding the gamer with alerts during transitional scenes.
This is a pretty good idea from Quantic Dream and a great call from Sony for giving them permission.

Trials HD – BIG Pack, will be released exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade on December 23rd 2009. Trials HD – Big Pack nearly doubles the amount of RedLynx-made tracks and adds a big selection of new physics made objects to the game, enabling new types of tracks and monster appliances. Trials HD – Big Pack will be available for 400 Microsoft Points. In addition, a title update will be released which develops some parts of the game even further, addresses community player feedback, and makes some specific fixes and improvements
New Achievements in DLC are:
-Piggyback (15G): Catch a ride and surf on top of a car in Dangerous Ride. Can you go the distance?
-Ride on top of a car in Dangerous Ride DLC track.
-No Deal (15G): Which box to choose and when to bailout?
-Bail out and land the rider inside a lucky box.
-Look ma I can fly! (20G): Bounce 5 trampolines in succession in Skyway to reach new heights.
In more detail, Trials HD – BIG Pack includes:
-35 brand new Trials HD tracks, with a special focus on medium and hard tracks, the difficulty levels most requested by players – the sweet-spot of track difficulty:
-23 racing tracks: 12 medium, 9 hard and 2 extreme – most with new physics objects providing Trials rides never experienced before
-12 skill game tracks
-Five new tournaments including all the new tracks -More than 50 new crazy physics objects: Car, rocket turbine, gravity field, wind, motor and many others! These objects will also be available on the level editor for users to utilize in creating their own tracks.
-Three new fun Achievements worth 50 Gamerscore
In further detail, free Title Update includes:
– Ultimate Endurance tournament simplified. This change makes the close to impossible Marathon achievement possible for much wider audience. The tournament now includes beginner/easy/medium tracks.
– Improved Down the Stairs skill game. The physics glitch all top players used is fixed and now the user has better control over the tumbling down rider.
– Fixed the corrupted leaderboard scores found in some tracks (zero times, impossible scores). All leaderboards have been cleaned off corrupted scores and we have a system in place to keep them clean in the future as well.
– Fixed a number of minor bugs reported by players and found by testers. Now the game is even more polished and stable than before.
Due to huge demand, the amount of tracks users can save in their hard disks and memory cards is doubled.

Survival HORROR comes to the iPhone, Italian software developers : 7th Sense Studios, have released what might be one of the BEST Survival Horror game on the iPhone.
FALLEN Episode 1, is a prologue to what looks like an amazing and well designed survival horror game for the Apple iPhone.
Fallen looks and feels very much like a Resident Evil type of game. The Suspense, ambiance sounds, puzzles and even monsters you encounters are all very similar. The story however is it’s own. You play as Roman Mendez, a prison inmate spending his last months of his sentence stuck in isolation. One day all hell breaks loose outside his cell, Roman can hear screams, yelling and the sounds of something that isn’t human coming from outside. This is where your journey begins. Roman manages to escape from his cell to find the prison is in really bad shape, something bad has happened and many people are dead or missing.
This is where you step into the shoes of Roman and help him escape this prison hell hole.
As this is a video review I will keep this the written part short as I don’t want to double up.
7th Sense Studios have gone to a lot of work in making Fallen EP1 look graphically amazing. This is something we don’t normally see on the IPhone, every location you explore and every item you interact with have been given a lot of attention to detail. The sound within the game is also great, at certain parts it made me jump (it is recommended playing this with headphones for the best experience). The control system is very basic but it works very well. On the bottom left we have the movement control which will allow you to move Roman, on the right you will have your attack button, the attack button doesn’t appear unless you encounter enemies, when your not attacking enemies but find object to interactive with another button will appear in its place. This will allow you to pick up or open, or use certain items within the game. The controls are simple but the system works well.
Just like in Resident Evil you collect and must solve puzzles along the way to progress. I will not spoil any of the fun but the puzzles are great fun to do and take advantage of the iPhones touch and accelerometer functionalities. It’s good to see that 7th Sense Studios have taken advantage of this, as it makes the game FAR more enjoyable to play.

Capsule Computers gives Fallen EP1 : 8.5 Capsule Out of 10. As stated in the review a few little things need to be fixed but overall Fallen EP1 is CERTAINLY a game you need to have for your iPhone, it’s a great Survival Horror game, with an original storyline that uses and pushes the iPhone to its full capabilities.

The Watchers are very mysterious beings. The only things we can be certain about in regards to the Watchers are that they want complete domination of the Earth and that they won’t hesitate to use their advanced technology to enslave humanity.
