Continuing on with our three day information spree on the upcoming Undead Redemption DLC pack from RockStar we have the finale with the trailer. There will be new gameplay mechanics, weapons and even zombie bears! We’ve already seen zombie horses, but bears now too? Makes me wonder if nearly every animal with this pack will have a zombie counterpart. Put this together with online zombie characters and the fact that the world is now full of zombies; this DLC pack is definitely worth the price of only $10 or 800 MSP.
Those who have read the manga and watched the anime should know the below scene that starts the trailer right off of the bat. As we see Pain destroy the Leaf Village and Naruto heroically show up ready to avenge his hometown and his friends. Beyond just the opening cinematic they show we also see a bit more of what boss fights we will be encountering and the different modes of gameplay that we will be experiencing.
Of course we can expect to experience the intense anime action of Naruto in just a few short weeks as it releases on October 19th.
EA has announced today that Medal of Honor has broken the franchise record for pre-orders. This is great news for the series as it is seeing an entire redesign from the ground up. There are no official figures yet so we will have to be taking EA at their word on this one. But the fact of the matter is that with the entire new feel and look of the series, people are excited and it must show in the pre-order figures.
Of course with the game coming out in a little over two weeks on October 12th they are also allowing players to get access to the Open Beta of the game on the PC. The beta won’t be open until October 4th, but you can download it October 1st to help alleviate the stress on their servers and make your speed go a bit quicker. But keep in mind that you will only have until the end of the day on October 7th to experience the beta.
Yup, you read that correctly, the cult classic game from the last generation, Beyond Good and Evil, is being re-released on XBLA and PSN, remastered in 1080p, touched up character models and achievements/trophies slated for release in 2011!
Quite the surprise, as Ubisoft has been extremely tight lipped in the past about Beyond Good and Evil’s upcoming sequel, let alone EVER even teasing or vaguely mentioning a project like this. Beyond Good and Evil was originally released on every console of the last generation, Gamecube, Xbox, Playstation 2 and PC, back in 2003. Like Okami, Beyond Good and Evil can be described with the phrase, “Like the legend of zelda, but…”. Tasking the player with going through “dungeons”, finding a special item, using said item to aid in further exploration and finally defeating that dungeons boss, with plenty of collectibles and optional doings along the way. If you haven’t played this masterpiece of a game yet, keep an eye out for this when it hits, you won’t regret it.
One of my favorite WiiWare titles this year was Dive: The Medes Islands Secret. I won’t go in to detail on everything thing that makes this title so special but you can check out our review here. Cosmonaut Games want to thank each and everyone of you who have downloaded the title or shown support with a free original soundtrack. The music in Dive was brilliant and added a lot to the overall experience. I’m sure any fan of the game would love to add this to their iPod or even fans of video game melodies in general for that matter. If you have not checked out Dive, download the soundtrack anyway and catch a glimpse of some of the masterpiece soundtrack that runs through the game.

Coming straight from The Sonic Stadium is a whole new batch of screenshots from the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1‘s Casino Street level. I’m gonna be flat out honest with you guys, this game pretty much looks like a collection of levels from Sonic 1 and 2, maybe the next Episode will make some improvements in level design? I mean, it looks fun, but it doesn’t look that original. What do you guys think?

Story What happens when your brother decides that your toy soldier army is too strong and you simply can’t be beat? He cheats of course, and grabs tons of unrelated toys to attempt to take you down. Of course, since you are so awesome you easily beat him with your normal toy soldiers and never let him live down the moment. The new Toy Soldiers: Invasion DLC is just like this scenario.
In this case the British is your brother, and they have discovered a plethora of new toys to take your soldiers out with. Play as the German army as you attempt to stop this invasion of “alien” toys and beat the British down into utter humiliation.
Gameplay The gameplay is exactly like it is in the rest of the game. This isn’t the Toy Soldiers review, this is a review on the DLC. If you have never played the game, read the review and download the demo. Both links are available at the top. The Invasion DLC lets you play as the German army against a British army who has found new technology. There are 3 levels with multiple waves of enemies on them.
Since this is an Invasion, there is new Invasion art, new “Alien” soldiers, special in game “Alien” vehicles, and a whole bunch of other stuff that doesn’t fit in a WWII theme. There are also two new maps that come with the DLC enabling for bigger battles online in multiplayer and then there is also a survival map to test your skills on.
The new boss is “50 tons of giant tin-toy robot death”. The thing is huge and menacing, just like all the bosses found in the game. It may require a few attempts and a lot of strategic unit placing in order to destroy it on harder settings. The 3 level Invasion Campaign is short and sweet. If you are a fan of Toy Soldiers you will enjoy the new levels to plan on as well as the new Golden Rockets to find.
Achievements There are 3 new achievements, and they follow suit with the achievements from the first DLC and the achievement types in the actual game. This time around, the golden blocks that are usually located in each level, have been replaced with golden rockets. The rest, is exactly the same; beat a boss, and destroy stuff. The Rockets are definitely the hardest part, the other two will just come from playing.

Mr. Roboto – 25 – Defeat the dreadedRoboBob boss.
Foo Fighter – 10 – Shoot down 40 UFO’s in one level with the new P51 Mustang.
Overview There is plenty to do in this DLC and a bunch of extras to play around with. Along with a new mini-campaign, new opponents, new survival map, new achievements, and new multiplayer maps; there is tons to do. While this bit of DLC isn’t exactly historically accurate, as the rest of the game attempted to be; it sure is a lot of fun to fly P51 Mustang WWII fighter plane or drive the T-17 Space Tank as you defend against the enemy units. Like the previous DLC, this DLC simply adds more to play in the Toy Soldiers game and I’m sure anyone still playing this game is going to love the new scenery and new enemies that you encounter in this DLC.
