We all knew that it would be inevitable. The Wii has at least a hundred different type of peripheral items that you can attach to the Wiimote. And everyone has mentioned at least some similarities between the Move and the Wii, and it is only getting worse now.
Gizmodo has caught wind of these new boxing gloves from CTA Digital which are designed to keep your television safe from a flying Move controller when your throwing lefts and rights. There is velcro attatched to the inside of the glove where you can wrap it around the Move controller to prevent a TV smashing punch from happening. There is also velcro adjustable wrist straps to make sure that the gloves themselves won’t just fly off and negate the whole reason you bought the thing in the first place.
Is it just me or do these look a bit like UFC fighting gloves? They even appear to be padded so if you do happen to hit something with them it wouldn’t hurt as much as punching with your bare hand, though it would be highly not recommended. There is no price tag to go along with these gloves, but expect to see at the least a $20 or higher cost when these arrive on shelves.
Rockstar has released a bit of information concerning their upcoming “Legends and Killers” DLC for Red Dead Redemption. The info is the most important of all, considering it puts a finalized price tag and a date for when we can place it right into our multiplayer and experience brand new maps and a weapon. It will be riding into both consoles on August 10th and the price will run 800 MS points on the 360, and $9.99 for the PS3 in American. Sorta wonder if there will ever be a price fluctuation between the two.
By downloading this pack you will be given nine new different multiplayer maps to play the game modes on when you aren’t free roaming, and a Tomahawk that can be thrown viciously. There will additionally be eight new different characters you can choose from. Then you have your obligatory Achievement and Trophy addition which have yet to be detailed.
If you happen to take a stop buy theFortune City visitor’s websiteyou can take a sneak peak into the world of Dead Rising 2. Or at least the map world of what you will be experiencing. There is a lot of extra information to be had on the website but personally I loved the fact they gave us the map to see already. The map above is just a small version, while the actual website has the large copy of the map in full detail. All this information constantly coming out for Capcom’s Dead Rising 2 is definitely keeping me hyped for this great zombie killing sequel.

Since the U.S. launch for BackBreaker for the Xbox 360 and PS3, reception has been mixed. Many players have very openly shared opinions on how the football game had great realism but other flaws in depth, passing and other areas of gameplay. Lucky for gamers, NaturalMotion and 505 Games have taken all of this in and are now releasing a huge update called CodeName: Greathouse. Here is the official statement released today:
“We are lucky to have such a passionate community who have supported us throughout the development of Backbreaker and continue to do so post-launch,” said Todd Gibbs, Head of Game Development, NaturalMotion Games. “Greathouse will give them what they have asked for, packed as it is with additions, changes, tweaks and requests taken directly from our online forums, reviews, as well as from individual players who spent time at our offices testing the latest features. I am extremely proud of what the team has managed to achieve in just a month.”
Major features in Greathouse include:
Brand new replay system with the addition of seven fully functional cameras, including free flight mode and a cinematic ‘ball-lock’ option.
More than 100 new plays added, including an additional nine formations.
Improved Quarterback camera view and passing game.
A user-catch system, giving the player a much greater level of control over the on-field action.
Interception control, the user is now given full control over interception attempts when controlling a defensive player.
Comprehensive review of the penalty rulings following an analysis of reported errors.
“We were stunned by the sheer volume of user videos that were posted on YouTube following the release of Backbreaker,” said Ant Lewis, Lead Designer, NaturalMotion Games. “It is obvious that the community loves the realism and live nature of the game and wants to share their unique moments. The new suite of cameras introduced with Greathouse will give them complete creative control over their footage and we are excited to see what appears as a result.”
To me it seems like almost a whole new game. This is what all developers should do. Listen to the players and deliver a better product if needed. I am extremely happy to see this news as maybe more companies will take into consideration the people who purchase the product and worry less about profit. If two smaller companies can make huge changes to a product like BackBreaker, now there really isn’t any excuse for all others to follow suit. You can pick up BackBreaker right now wherever video games are sold for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Namco Bandai has put together an official website for what can only be described as “Tales Of” and given a timer to count down too. What could this count down be for? Could it just be for a bit of extra information? Or maybe even what the Tales will be of. Hideo Baba who is the producer of the Tales series was able to not only confirm the PS3 Tales being developed, but also shot down rumors that had been circulating that the game was to be titled “Tales of Unitia.” All I can say is that from the concept art shown above and on the website, it appears that there will be a change of pace from your standard Tales’ anime style.
Feel like a little Blazybloo with your brawler? Aksys games has released Blazybloo: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale today for the DSi Store and you can purchase it now for only 500 DSi Points. This isn’t your standard brawler either because you will be playing with chibi versions of some of your favorite Blazblue characters! What is chibi you ask? It is a cute character form of more advanced models that do have less detail but will definitely have you loving them, see above for what the chibi versions will look like. You can even equip various items to use to cause devastation to your foes!
What should you expect if you happen to get this game?
Two modes featuring Single Player or Free Battle!
Take on the CPU or up to 4 friends. Set the rules, select the stage and match type!
Engage in combat with Four Match modes!
Good ol’ beat-‘em-up Life Match requires fighters to put the smack down on each other until your life meter is drained! Collect soba noodle points in Point Match by attacking other fighters or play snatch the panda in Flag Match; whoever has the panda when time runs out wins!
Play as Five Adorable Brawlers from the smash 2d fighter hit BlazBlue!
Battle as Ragna, Noel, Rachel, Taokaka or Jin! Create mini combos with their normals and drive attacks!
I don’t know about you but I’m loving the way this game looks. It’s like a mini smash brothers using Blazblue characters. With the different items and weapons to use, there looks like there is tons of fun to be had, especially when you consider the cheap price tag.

Xenome Episode 1 is an original rpg developed by Nine Pound Studios. The game looks like a nice alternative for anyone looking for an action/adventure rpg on their portable systems.
The game’s story happens in Silica Flats. A wasteland ripe for exploration. That is, if you manage to stay alive long enough. The land looks different from what you remember, but that’s bound to happen to anyone who’s been in cryo-stasis for the last 250 years. You’ve been reactivated during the advent of the Union-Prime war. Both factions want your allegiance. More importantly, either faction would rather see you back on ice (in one way or another) than to be aligned with their enemy.
Features:
Fully immersive, open 3D environment using cutting edge technology, ready to be explored.
Intense gameplay with realtime combat and powerful abilities.
Enormous game world – over 5 square miles of seamless, immersive territory teeming with mutated creatures and other dangerous aberrations of nature.
Gain experience and wealth while performing missions and killing monsters.
Customize your character with abilities, stats and over 500 items that best suit your play style.
Stylized, intuitive user interface.
An engaging storyline that will take hours to unravel as you make your way through the wastelands.
Loaded with secrets for the adventurous. Enough creatures, missions and areas to keep you playing long after the main plot has unfolded.
Xenome Episode 1 is already out, you can see more about the game from it’s page on the appstore.
*note* The game requires the iPhone 3gs, iPhone 4, 3rd gen iPod Touch with 32 or 64 gb storage, or the iPad. They are currently working to bring support for 2nd gend devices in the near future.
Ever wanted to play Little Big Planet on Xbox360 or Wii? Well, don’t get your hopes up, because LBP will remain PS3 exclusive, but you will have something similar…EA announced today their new upcoming title, Create. A game for the whole family, which will let you create your own environment and experiment with it.
“We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination,” – Harvey Elliott, VP and General Manager at EA Bright Light.
Create will have the player’s solve different puzzles and levels by using their imagination…the more creative you are, the bigger the reward will be. So it’s not an actual “create-anything-then-play-it” game, but rather a puzzle game. How this turns out…we’ll have to wait and see.
Create will be released “this holiday” on PC, Mac, Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Regarding peripherals, the Playstation Move will be supported, though no info on Microfts’s Kinekt just yet.
