Zindagi Games, the developers behind Sports Champions and Medieval Moves: Deadmun’s Quest, have announced that they are developing a sequel to one of the most popular Playstation Move games. Sport Champions 2 will feature all-new events including Boxing, Golf, Bowling, Skiing and Tennis, while Archery will be getting an update. The game will offer both single and local multiplayer experiences, including the new Party Mode, where player can compete with others in customised tournaments.
Returning from Sports Champions will be Cup play (solo campaign), Free Play, Challenges (arcade events), online leaderboards, while Facebook connectivity will also be featured. In-game avatars will not be limited to pre-created models this time around. Each profile will feature a customised character and individual stat tracking. A trailer was released with the announcement, which you can view below. Sports Champions 2 will be released later this year.
Deep Silver’s pirate RPG has been sailing the gaming seas for a while now, so it’s probably about time it had some new content floating about to keep everybody on their toes. The DLC is titled the Air Temple, and brings with it a solid helping of new bad guys that need a good squashing. Adding a new island, new characters and quests, the Air Temple is infested with bipedal fire breathing gargoyles that according to the trailers narrator, must soon become the victims of a mass genocide if the world wants to keep on spinning.
So slip on your pirate hat and slap down ten golden dubloons (that’s $9.99 on the Steam store if you’re not up on your pirate currency exchange rates) and head off to the Air Temple. The trailer can be found here, but be careful, it may not be suitable for the eyes of innocent young landlubbers.
According to many unoffical polls on the Internet, Nintendo has “won” E3 a lot in the past couple of years. Whether it was the 3DS or a new Zelda game, Nintendo somehow manages to wow everybody during their press conferences. Can they do it again this year? Let’s take a look at what we expect Nintendo to reveal this year.
Sales Figures!
After last years somewhat underwhelming announcement of the Wii U, we expect Nintendo to spend most of their time demoing the Wii U, talking up its specs, announcing launch games and doing everything possible to prove that the Wii U is the future of gaming.
Speaking of the Wii U, hopefully Nintendo will be able to tune up their online infrastructure multiplayer in support of this console.
The Wii U will definitely launch with a sports game. Most likely titled, Wii U Sports: In the Arctic!
More announcements of sequels to famous games like Zelda and Mario, etc. Luigi’s Mansion will undoubtedly be prominently featured. Maybe a new Metroid will be revealed?
Quite possibly, Nintendo will launch a redesigned 3DS. Failing that, there will at least be 2 new colors of the system.
More POKEMON!
A new Kirby and/or Pikmin 3 will be revealed. Probably.
It may not be releasing until September, but the Testament of Sherlock Holmes wants to make an impression now. An E3 trailer has just been released for the latest game in the Sherlock series, and it’s certainly a bit if an unusual one. Give it a few seconds and some distinctly un-Victorian-London music kicks in, with a bit of unintentional rapping going on as well. That slight oddness in tone aside, the game is looking pretty impressive. An open world Sherlock adventure on HD platforms is perhaps a bit of a tough sell, but hopefully the motion capture tech and new engine can create an impressive story, and more crucially, be backed up by some strong gameplay mechanics.
Like every other trailer released for the game so far, this one is setting up a dark world for Holmes and Watson to negotiate through; we already know that Holmes has possibly been up to no good, but where does that tombstone fit into things? Dead bodies, blood and opium dens all rear their heads, with multiple murders to solve and a sinister conspiracy to unearth. Another L.A Noire success story? September will reveal all.
The legend may be ending, but that doesn’t mean your Facebook page can’t celebrate it by looking pretty damn good!
The official Facebook page for The Dark Knight Rises has released two more promotional Facebook cover photos for the public. These photos are in high resolution and can be downloaded by anyone. Then, you can upload it to your own Facebook profile and use it as a cover photo to show your love for Batman and your excitement for The Dark Knight Rises! You can check out all the official Facebook banners for the film here.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012) is the direct squeal to the award-winning superhero film The Dark Knight (2008) which many fans argue to be the best superhero film of all time. The Dark Knight Rises hits cinemas July 20. Get ready for the legend to end!

Just yesterday we were treated to an official announcement of the latest entry in the Tales of series, titled of Tales of Xillia 2, sequel to the hit PlayStation 3 entry Tales of Xillia. Taking a page out of Square-Enix’s book, NamcoBandai has decided to create a sequel to an existing Tales of entry rather than create a whole new Tales of game. That said, Tales of Xillia 2 still looks to offer something different from your standard Tales of game.
With this announcement comes a reveal trailer, which shows off a great deal of gameplay. The trailer shows off the characters, bits of the story, and even the battle system in action. The game looks to retain the same visual style and combat engine as the original Tales of Xillia , but offering a much different setting and story.
The game is set to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive and will be launching with a limited edition Dual Shock 3 controller. You can check out the three minute trailer below.
With only a few days before E3 2012 kicks off, we thought we’d share a few exciting photos of the event location and some of the video game banners that have been plastered all over the LA Convention centre this year. As always, Bethesda has secured their trademark location a block away from the convention centre with their upcoming title The Elder Scrolls online. At the moment, finishing touches are still being made to the artwork as you see below, but we can all agree that the end result will be very pleasing once its completed.
Other great games shown outside and in the lobby area of both the South and West hall are THQ’s Darksiders II, Metro: Last Light & South Park: The Stick Of Truth, along with 2K’s Spec Ops: The Line. This year Sony has taken the Honours with their logo all over the top part of the main entrance with a nice little catch phrase “Never Stop Playing”. And on the west entrance EA has secured their banner for the upcoming Medal Of Honor: Warfighter.
Going inside both lobbies are jam packed with video game goodness, in the South hall Capcom has secured Resident Evil 6 and SEGA will be grabbing your attention while you go up the escalator with Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed. In the west hall entrance we have a number of big titles, such Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs and Tomb Raider along with EA’s Crysis 3 and The Sims.
Even walking up stairs you can’t avoid video games as you make your way up towards the event floor. Companies such as GREE and Square Enix have their advertising set-up nicely. Hitman Absolution I must say looks very impressive, I hope not too many people trip or fall while checking out them out.

The past few E3 events, Microsoft has not really taken too many risks. The rundown of events at their press event is usually something like the following:
New Call of Duty, with exclusive DLC for the Xbox 360
Kinect games, Kinect demo and licensed Kinect game announcement
Gears of War, Fable and/or Halo related content
Celebrity APPEARANCE!
One. More. Thing.
However, maybe this year Microsoft will pull no punches and blow us away. Keep your fingers crossed though, as we predict that Microsoft will present the following at E3 2012:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 demo and a reminder that they will be sponsoring exclusive, timed DLC.
Up to 5 Kinect demos for licensed children’s games, like Kinect Sports 3, Kinectimals 3, etc.
One Kinect feature that will have everybody buzzing (individual finger recognition, anyone?)
Halo 4 presentation, with lots of new information on multiplayer
More video and music streaming content deals are announced for Xbox Live
Something about Windows Phone, Xbox 360 and Windows 8 integration
Steel Battalion trailer, Twisted Pixel demo and a celebrity appearance of some kind
One. More. Thing: Next generation hardware announcement, for the end of 2013.
What are you hoping that Microsoft will show off? What are your predictions for their press conference? Let us know in the comments if you agree or disagree with our predictions.
