If you’ve been keeping an eye on Orgarhythm from XSEED Games then you probably already know this, but everyone else should be happy to hear that Orgarhythm is now available for download in North America through the Vita’s PlayStation Store. The game itself will cost $29.99 and features a unique rhythm and RTS combination of gameplay.
For those who don’t know, players will be given the task of protecting a god from attack by opposing enemies by using a series of taps on the touch screen to the rhythm of the music playing at the time. To commemorate the game’s launch on the PSN, XSEED has released a number of new screenshots and a How-To video to introduce prospective players to some of the game’s unique rhythm mechanics.
You better double check your car next time you start it up, because Zero is now looking for more participants to take part in the Nonary Game. Either that, or you could play it safe and simply head out to the store and pick up either the PlayStation Vita or Nintendo 3DS versions of Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward which hit stores today.
For those who don’t know, Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward is a suspenseful puzzle game where players take the role of Sigma, a man who has been locked in an unknown place with eight other people and the only way he can escape is by trusting and betraying the only people who can help him, all while trying to solve difficult puzzles.
If you were one of the people who bought Dark Souls on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but then were sad to hear that the PC version of the game released at a later date received some bonus content then we have some good news for you. Dark Souls’ Artorias of the Abyss DLC is now available for purchase on both the PS3 and 360.
Artorias of the Abyss will cost you $14.99 or 1200 MSP depending on your console of choice and it adds a few new pieces of content. First gamesr will be able to partake in enhanced player vs player allowing for players to assemble and fight one another to the death, new bosses to test your strength against, new enemies to die against, more weapons and armor as well as a slew of new environments to die in.
This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine, as reported by Tale Tale has revealed that a brand new RPG is being developed for the PlayStation Vita by the same company known for making Students of the Round (pictured above), which unfortunately never made it overseas, Experience Inc.
The game itself is called Demon Gaze and it is being described as a dungeon RPG similar to past games made by Experience in the past. Currently the game is meant to be released in Japan sometime in January, and given the very light RPG market of the Vita, many Vita owners would probably appreciate a Western release of the game.
We’re not exactly lacking choice when it comes to places to buy games. Between physical or online stores, shopping around is increasingly time-consuming, but increasingly rewarding.
This week another virtual store has opened its virtual doors on this virtual games shopping strip: the Sydney-based Skill Point Games.
Adrian Vergara, games journalist and founder of the service, says Skill Point’s focus is to be Australia’s cheapest games store. “We keep our margins low, because we’re not all about our bottom line,” he says.
Older games are constantly on sale at retail giants like JB Hifi and EB Games, so the differences may be negligible there. It will probably be new releases where the price differences matter most. Currently, both JB and EB list the Wii U console deluxe pack at $428, and most launch games at $99. This might come down a bit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they stay that high through Christmas.
Meanwhile, Skill Point Games are selling Wii U consoles for $10 less than RRP, and launch games for $20 less. It’s unknown whether shipping will blow out the difference, but for now, those figures look good.
Vergara also takes pride in the store’s dedication to providing quality customer service and quick delivery, and unlike other so-called “local” services (including the apparently-deliberately-misleading OzGameShop), the business will remain 100% Australian run.
Some of you may recall that last month NIS America announced that they were bringing a surprising game over to North American audiences in the form of Generation of Chaos: Pandora’s Reflection, which is surprisingly for the PSP. Interestingly enough, this is the third time that the company has brought over a game from the Generation of Chaos series.
Now today NIS America revealed their first trailer for the game which can be seen below and in this trailer we learn that the company is planning on releasing the game next year on as a digital download in North America on February 19th and February 20th in Europe.
Ninja Toss, a new action/arcade title developed by D-Soft, will be released by BulkyPix for the iOS on November 15. We’ve seen “throwing games” where you play as a ninja tossing out shurikens…well, in this case, the ninja himself is what you’ll be throwing. And he’s not the lightest ninja we’ve ever seen (that’s putting it nicely)!
The chubby ninja goes by the name of Nyam, and he has a fatal weakness…you guessed it, food! More specifically, onigiri, sushi and yakitori. Using a catapult, players will aim to launch this gourmand as far as possible. Nyam will safely bounce off of surfaces thanks to his ample belly, and into said tasty treats whilst avoiding nasty traps, smashing rice balls and collecting their fallen grains.
Being a ninja, Nyam does possess ancestral powers with 6 power-ups and 2 ninja skills available for upgrade. 13 different donuts await, acting as hazardous, or beneficial, to your health as you traverse the 5 different landscapes to stop and destroy ultimate evil in story mode. There is also a survival mode, Game Center integration and hilarious skins to unlock for the pudgy Nyam.
For a first look at the humorous title, check out its first official screenshots below!
This is the Nintendo 64 speaking. Hello. What brings you to my den? What’s that? You want to play some classics? Well that’s cool, but shouldn’t you be looking at a different console for that; I mean I AM the bleeding edge at the moment.
