Chillingo Announces Samsung Galaxy S4 Titles

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 gearing up for launch, Chillingo has announced the lineup of games that will be available at the device’s launch.

The following titles will be compatible with the Galaxy S4:

The games have been optimized for the device’s five inch 1080p AMOLED screen. “Chillingo is proud to have some of our most popular games available on the Samsung Galaxy S4 at launch,” explains Ed Rumley, COO, Chillingo. “The device has stunning new features that pushes game development even further and we’re working closely with our indie partners to bring more fantastic titles to the platform.”

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be launched in late April in most countries and May 1st in the US.

Gamevil Releases Smile Plants for iOS

Publisher Gamevil and game developer EnteryFly released their latest title on iTunes called Smile Plants. The game mixes the match three puzzle genre with a gardening sim. The puzzle portion of the game will allow players to care for their plants by successfully matching three or more tiles. There are over thirty plants that can be added to the player’s personal garden. Smile Plants is integrated with Facebook, allowing players to share their gardens with friends. “We are excited to be continuously working with EnteryFly through the GAMEVIL Partner Fund,” stated Kyu Lee, President of GAMEVIL USA. “They have already released a proven franchise in Air Penguin and we are confident they have delivered another with Smile Plants.”

Smile Plants is available for free on iTunes. The game is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

Infinite Crisis Trailers Showcase Gaslight Batman and Doomsday

Infinite Crisis is an almost ideal blend of a fairly well-known comic arc with a game sub-genre. Where games like DotA and LoL have plenty of champions, they are forced to create news champions from the ground up for every single one, while Warner Bros. has the ability to pull up the DC Comics wikia and hit random until finding a suitable candidate or just throw darts at a wall.

Then it is simply a matter of hammering out abilities, stats, etc., but still pretty much straight forward as comic characters are established things. Just how easy it can be for them to round up more characters for champions is easy to see from the two new in-depth videos showcasing Gaslight Batman and Doomsday that players can watch below. Starting off of course with the Dark Knight.

Gaslight Batman sees the Caped Crusader re-imagined for the Age of Invention, an ideal place for the hero so keen on use of gadgets to dole out his justice. Armed with sonic pistols to fit his bat motif, Gaslight Batman makes heavy use of them to weaken his opponents, though he’s still Batman so watch out when he gets in close.

Doomsday is a walking tank created to destroy until he has been killed, only to be revived bigger and harder to kill. He has the distinction of having successfully killed Superman (for a while), at the cost of his own life. In the game, players will be able to use him to protect the more squishy players, but should he fall in battle he’ll take less damage from and to more damage to the champion that killed him.

Players still have a chance to check out Infinite Crisis‘ beta HERE, otherwise they’ll have to wait until it releases for PC this Spring.

Ace Attorney 5’s New Promo

Capcom has just started streaming a new, 3-minute promo for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game Ace Attorney 5. The video introduces the main characters of this game; Phoenix Wright who will return as lead role for this game, Apollo Justice who was the former lead of the previous game and a brand-new character Kokone Kizuki who is now Writes new partner.

Ace Attorney 5 is set about a year from the last main game, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. It’s planned for shipping in Japan on the 25th of July. Capcom will be offering free DLC costumes from that same day through to August 15. The customes will include; Writes suit from the first three games, Apollo’s street clothes and Kokone’s high school uniform.

Another bit of good news; Brian Keltner, Public Relations Manager at Capcom has confirmed that in September the company plans to release the game here in the West.

Top 30 “Attack on Titan” Opening Spoofs

Attack on Titan has blown up, big time, in popularity. So much so that apart from the official anime, manga, merchandise, etc there has also been a massive influx of parody videos that spoof the opening sequence of the anime. Now if you’ve seen the actual anime you would know the song they’re spoofing, it’s glorious and uplifting…and that’s exactly the kind of thing that gets a good tease.

Because there have been so many of these damn, funny videos a Top 30 compilation as been made. It goes for almost 10 minutes and it’s definitely going to give you a good laugh. This is very similar to the older Guile’s Theme meme which, if you don’t know, is where Guile’s theme from Street Fighter would be put over anything and, most of the time, would work.

Arc System Works Creates New Website for North American Fans

North American fans of Arc System Works have never had it easier finding information on the latest Guilty Gear or BlazBlue game now that the developer/publisher has released a new website just for them. Designed to be a central hub for their fans across the Pacific, the website serves to provide access to their games catalog, latest news, tweets, videos, and even contests.

Those North American fans can find the new website HERE to start familiarizing themselves with its features. They may also notice that one of their latest tweets hints at a contest hidden within the pages. The team over at Arc System Works also hopes to be able to utilize the site to get input from these fans for future titles.

It’s great to see Japanese developers actively interested in bringing international fans into the loop.

Mars War Logs for PC Launches with Trailer

The time has come for Spiders Studio and Focus Home Interactive’s newest game Mars War Logs to release for PC, so what better way for them to celebrate the occasion than one final trailer. Players can see Roy and some of the cast of characters he will be meeting as he has to decide the fate of the red planet itself. The trailer this time features more dialogue from the cast of characters in the game than any of the previous, which is great to finally get a better chance to hear from more of them.

Set on the titular planet, the people continue to suffer from a cataclysmic event that robbed them of vast amounts of water. Now the most precise commodity, player character Roy Temperance will be forced to choose sides as he tries to survive against opposing forces, mutants, and monsters.

Players can watch the trailer embedded below to get a nice primer and those interested can purchase Mars War Logs for PC now on Steam HERE or from the official website HERE. Though console gamers should fret as it will also be released for both XBLA and PSN apparently “soon”.

Get Deoxys and Dragonite In Black and White 2

Two new events for the most recent Pokemon Game (Non-Spinoff), Black and White 2, have been announced. Get in quick while they’re still available.

Deoxys Event – WiFi

The latest Wi-Fi event will be for all English language versions of the game. Within this event you will receive a Level 100 Deoxys. Deoxys offers players the tactical flexibility of changing Formes. If Trainers need to make a switch, they can bring Deoxys to Nacrene City and alter its genetic code between Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme. All of Deoxys’ Formes have distinct appearances and advantages, so players will be ready for anything.

The event is to tie in with the release of the new TCG Plasma Freeze Set and will run from the 8th of May to the 31st of May. The Deoxys card to be featured in the new Plasma Freeze Set is definitely a great addition to your deck. At 170HP it can power up allied Plasma Pokemon and with the move Helix Force it can swiftly turn an opponents energy against them. The Plasma Freeze Expansion introduces us to over 110 new Pokemon cards like Deoxys-EX, Thundurus-EX, Latios-EX, Latias-EX and a bunch more. Stay tuned for more information updates as they come.

Dragonite Event – Global Link

This event will also be for English language versions of the game but this one is a bit more exclusive. The Dragonite is only accessible to Trainers (You guys) who have participated in Official Pokemon Leagues across the world, specifically the Nimbasa Season. The Dragonite is quite special. it has it’s hidden ability of Multiscale and the special move Extremespeed. Deffinitely a Pokemon you don’t want to miss out on. Trust me. The event should be live now so, if you can, go and grab that Poke-Bro now!

Dracula 4 Heroine Revealed

Anuman Interactive (Fire and Forget: The Final Assault) have just revealed the heroin for their up and coming game, Dracula 4: The Shadows of the Dragon, and her name is Ellen Cross.

If you’re not too sure about what Dracula 4 exactly is; it’s a game by Anuman Interactive (through Microids unit) that will be released on the PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android, here is the official synopsis:

A few months after the shipwreck of a freighter that carries an important art collection meant for the Metropolitan Museum, one of the masterpieces is found in Hungary. Assigned by the museum to authenticate it, Ellen Cross, an art restorer, does not suspect that this mission is about to take her throughout Europe, on the steps of Valachi’s famous prince, Vlad Tepes.

Dracula 4: The Shadow of the Dragon will be released sometime in Summer of this year, as of right now enjoy the few screenshots we have of the game and keep your eye out for more news.

Kyoto Animation unveils Free! the swimming anime you’ve all wanted

Kyoto Animation have unveiled their latest anime series and it is sure to delight fans who were excited by the KyoAni commercial that previous aired featuring hunky swimmer boys, as they will now turn that into a full anime series titled Free!

After working on many cute anime series it looks like Kyoto Animation has now got something sexy for the ladies. Free! will focus on a school swim-team all of whom appear to be sexy musclebound bishonens. Kyoto Animation have released a trailer for the upcoming anime which can be seen below.

The opening theme song will be performed by OLDCODEX while the ending song will be performed by the cast. Free! is scheduled to begin in July as part of the Summer anime season. Sexy gentlemen, take your mark!
