Kingnet Technology has revealed that their newest title, Lords of Darkness is slated for a worldwide August release. The game will be released on theiOS and will be free to play.
The game will feature a fully controllable battle system, wherein players will command their units on a hexagonal grid once they have entered another person’s citadel and commenced combat. Each unit and hero also possesses its own strengths and weaknesses, furthering the strategy aspect. This unlocks the opportunity for more advanced maneuvers and the possibility for smarter battles.

In order to attract more strategy game grandmasters, the developers created a fair ladder match system, with both sides receiving an identical number of units and equally powerful heroes. Daniel Chiu, project manager of Lords of Darkness said:
“There is a growing trend that the player who pays the most should win, but we believe giving big advantages to paying players destroys the fun of games, especially strategy games. Like chess, Lords of Darkness is designed so the player with the best strategy, rather than the deepest pockets, will win. ”

Today it was announced by Square Enix that those who pre-order the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will automatically be given a special limited edition version of the game that not only features commentary by the development teams for X and X-2, but also a 24 page art book which features artwork from the PS2 versions of the games.
Also included is some sort of “special message” from Producer Yoshinori Kitase. It is worth noting that this is only for the PS3 version of the release and the company did not mention if anything special would be done for the individual PS Vita releases of the remasters.
It is also worth noting that the company also confirmed previous rumors that a 30 minute audio drama, that will occur after the in-game credits, will be included in the game’s release in North America.
Today a great deal was announced that will likely mean free credit for a large number of gamers. Atlus USA and Nintendo of America announced that they are teaming up for a special promotion that will be held through Club Nintendo. This promotion gives gamers who register Fire Emblem: Awakening and also pick-up and register Shin Megami Tensei IV $30 in 3DS eShop credit.
This means that if you have already picked up Fire Emblem: Awakening, which a large number of those interested in SMTIV probably have done, only need to pick up SMTIV when it is released next week on July 16th. The promotion begins on July 16th and will run until August 31st and the full details about the promo can be found here.
Not that long ago World of Tanks had its 8.6 Update, but the world just keeps turning as Wargaming is already announcing the additions coming in the next update 8.7. Ever the progressive path, the bulk of the next update seems to British SPG (self-propelled guns) to add to all the SPGs in previous updates.
The new SPGs for the British to be included in World of Tanks‘ 8.7 Update will add to both mid-tier and high-tier, though many of the well known will be in the mid tier, such as the Sexton, Bishop and the Crusader. Most the high-tier are actually prototypes that were never used in real combat, i.e. The Conqueror Gun Carriage. British SPGs aren’t the only additions however as 8.7 will be getting a new map set in Russian winter called Belogorsk-19, as well as a change up in the Russian SPG tiers as the Soviet light tank T-50-2 at Tier 5 will instead be the MT-25.
While there is no word yet when the new update will be going live, players can still check out the free to play World of Tanks on PC for North America, Europe, Korea, and SEA.
International fans of the Starz series Spartacus finally have their chance to relive the action of the series in their own way as publisher Ubisoft announces that the new game Spartacus Legends has just been released outside of North America. Developed by Kung Fu Factory, the game is now available worldwide and also completely for free.
For its launch, Spartacus Legends also has a new trailer, probably as brutal as the last, showing off the blood soaked gameplay, as the game allows players to make their own gladiators and those from the show. Additional features include the ability to improve these gladiators with boosts and perks or alternatively run a gladiator school where how its gladiators do will increase its fame.
Check out the launch trailer embedded below as players worldwide can now check out the free to play Spartacus Legends on both the XBLA and PSN, though the Xbox version does require Xbox Live Gold.

After some awesome looking screenshots showing off the other HD Final Fantasy game on its way, Final Fantasy X HD now has a new video of its own, specifically showcasing the new graphics. With a side by side comparison, players can see just how much better Square Enix is making the HD version look, instead of see the newest graphics compared to their rose-color glassed memories.
The video is short, only two and half minutes, but it does show off the improvements that have gone into Final Fantasy X HD, such as the bigger display. Though it is a little comical to see the two running side by side, while still just a tad off, most noticeably in the blinks.
Those wanting to see how the SD and HD compare can view the video embedded below. Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD is set to release this Fall for PS3 together or as individual games on PS Vita.

And, Ubisoft is excited to announce that attendees will be eligible to partake in the “Road to Paris” Tournament Series for the online collectible card game, Might & Magic Duel of Champions. One entrant will win the opportunity to fly to Paris to compete in the final of the World Championships at Paris Games Week, October 30 – November 3, 2013.
