For those who may not have heard about Phantom Breaker: Extra, it is an updated version of the original Phantom Breaker which probably will never be fully released in English. This upgraded version of the game features new characters in the form of Sophia, Shizuka, and Gaito & Rin, new stages and enhanced graphics.
Today Mages released a new trailer for the fighting game which shows off some of the new characters in action as well as some more footage of the game. Currently Phantom Breaker: Extra is set to be released on September 19th in Japan for the Xbox 360 and import-friendly PlayStation 3.
It was announced just yesterday by, Joymax, that they’re adding a brand new Digimon Tamer to their fantastic MMO/RPG game, Digimon Masters Online. The new Tamer to be introduced is none other than the younger, more compassionate, brother of the “Digidestined Formerly Known As Matt”, and his name is T.K. If you’re not familiar with the original season of Digimon, T.K is a young boy with a good nature and the most purest and gentle of souls, his parents unfortunately divorced when he was even younger it that, somewhat, tore Matt and T.K apart but that never stopped him from loving his brother and parents.

His partner is a Holy Digimon called Patamon which, when Digivolved, is a force to be reckoned with. He’s the perfect partner for T.K.Now on to the celebration of his arrival! Digimon Masters players are now able to collect “T.K’s Gift Boxes” which can be looted from enemy Digimon that are defeated. Each box has one item, and the loot includes Evoluters, Amplification Boosters, Chicken Combos, Inventory Expansions, Energy Pills, Gold Bananas, Luxurious Megaphones, 1-Day DigiAuras, 1-Day Consignment Shop Licenses, and Digi-Soul Charges!

Today a new trailer for Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers was released by Namco Bandai and this trailer focuses on the Poseidon arc of the manga series and you can check it out below. For those who don’t know, this game will be the first one in Saint Seiya history to feature the Sanctuary, Poseidon and Hades arcs of the story.
As for the game itself, players will have over fifty different characters to play as and customize, an online component to battle against others and more. Currently the title is set to be released as a digital download for the PlayStation 3 in North America on November 26th.
If you like epic Basketball montages set to music by rap legends then get ready for an awesome trailer. Set to the tune of Hate Me Now by Nas, NBA 2K14’s offficial trailer showcases some of the new features being employed in this years iteration such as the ability to block dunks, new animations, customisable wrist bands and the latest team roster changes. 2K14 hosts a number of other improvements and new additions over its predecessors such as the return of the highly requested Crew Mode, the addition of 14 Euroleague teams, dynamic rosters and stat tweaks based on real NBA season performance as well as an improved My Team mode. Cover star Lebron James was in charge of hand picking the soundtrack for this year’s release which will consist of music by Nas, Jay Z, Eminem, the Black Keys, Daft Punk, Robin Thicke and more.
NBA 2K14 releases on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 3rd and will be launch titles for the PS4 and Xbox One when they release in November. The exclusive King James pack will be given to those who pre-order the game at select retailers.
The latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has confirmed major news for the upcoming J-Stars Victory VS fighting game. It has now been confirmed that Dragon Ball’s Vegeta, Naruto’s Sasuke and Toriko’s Zebra will all be playable characters in the game.
Not only does this confirm three more characters but it also confirms that side-characters will also be part of the games line-up. Many had concern that only the stars of each series would be playable but with this news it appears that secondary characters are in with a chance as well.
J-Stars Victory VS is slated for release on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita at some point in 2013. We will keep you updated as further information on J-Stars Victory VS comes to light.
Today Atlus USA has announced that they are teaming up with Big Finish Games to bring gamers Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure. If the name rings a bell it is because this is actually the sixth installment in a long running PC adventure series that hasn’t been around since 1998. It also might ring a bell since it was originally began as a Kickstarter project.
While this is a surprise announcement, though Atlus has been making a few of those lately, Bill Alexander, vice president of production and business development at Atlus had this to say about the game:
“The Tex Murphy franchise is definitely much beloved around the ATLUS office; a lot of us were playing Tex games before we started our careers in the games industry. Atlus has a great penchant for stepping in to help developers bring their incredible games to market, and we are eager to breathe new life into this classic franchise. We hope that it will bring back fond memories for Tex Murphy fans as well as introduce a new generation of gamers to his one-of-a-kind humor.”
The game is a return to the full-motion video genre and will follow the story of Tex Murphy, a down on his luck “gumshoe” who is working on in a post-WWIII apocalyptic world. The game is currently set to be released on the PC and Mac sometime in early 2014 and Atlus has released a few screenshots for the title which can be found below.
If you happen to be a fan of dogfighting in WWI style planes or perhaps a fan of Sid Meier, then we have some good news for you. Originally released back in May for the iOS, 2K Games has placed Firaxis Games’ Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol on Steam where it can now be purchased for $14.99 here, though if you pick the game up before September 5th you will save 10% on the game’s price.
To commemorate the game’s jump from the iOS platform to the PC, 2K has released a new gameplay trailer for Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol which can be seen below. For those who don’t know, Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol allows gamers to relive WWI history as they pilot the skies in defense of their base camp and allies.
If you’ve been holding out on picking up the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow title and happen to be a PC gamer, then you’ll be delighted to hear that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition has been released on the PC by Konami.
The game features all of the content the original game had as well as the game’s Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition costs $29.99 and is available for purchase from Steam here. As for the game’s sequel, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, it is still currently set for release on current-gen consoles sometime in early 2014.
It has recently been announced that Deep Silver will be bringing 4A Games’ Metro: Last Light to the Mac on September 10th and that they are working on a version of the game that will work on Linux operating systems sometime later this year.
4A Games has said that these different versions of the game provide “further testimony to the power and flexibility of the 4A Engine” used in the game. Metro: Last Light was originally released on consoles and the PC earlier this year and you can check out our review for the Xbox 360 version of the game here.
As reported in an expletive laden press release written by a Texan possibly high on illegal substances (or life), Saints Row IV will be receiving two new pieces of DLC as they celebrate over a million units sold in the first week of sales. Saints Row IV has managed to triple the first week sales that Saints Row: The Third accomplished.
The Presidential Pack will allow players to play as President Barack Obama, President George W. Bush, President Abraham Lincoln, or President George Washington armed with an abduction gun that will kidnap citizens of Steelport. Additionally, some early Americana themed costumes are also available for wear.
The Grassroots Pack offers some Texan country themed gear. Players can dress up in farm wear, drive an ancient clunker of a car, and fight off aliens with weapons that have clearly seen better days.
