The last trailer for Thief showed off just a bit of the return of Basso, but only in so much as to at least show that fact that he was still kicking around the city. The newest trailer released however gets a little more personal with the now fence as he gives a cold hard look at the realities of the city that they are living in.
This is however is the first in a new series of videos for Thief from Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal, all laying the way for the game before it releases in February. It’s hard to tell where the video series plans to go from here though, will there be even more information from Basso about the dire straight of the city, or will we get to hear from some other sources.
Those wanting to see “Basso’s Gamble”, the first part of the new “Stories from The City” series, can find it emebedded below. Thief is currently set to release the last week of February 2014 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
To mark the launch of the new iPad Air, Square Enix are giving owners of an iOS device the chance to try out their vampire hunting RPG, Bloodmasque for free. Until midnight on the 7th November this action packed battle through a vampire infested 19th century Paris is available for free download on the App Store after which point it will return to its original price of US$6.99.
As if the $0 price tag wasn’t enough incentive to download Bloodmasque, there have been new features added to the game just in time for this event. A new ‘Hunter Rankings’ mode has been implemented which allows players to fight it out in special weekly quests where only the best of the best will be able to claim the unique in-game items that are awarded to the highest scoring competitors.

Halloween may be dead and gone for another year, but if you missed out on some horror fare over October 31st then fear not- there’s plenty still to be had for the rest of the year. Dementium II HD, originally a DS game, has just been made available for preorder on Steam ahead of a December 18 release. Early takers will get a hefty 35% discount on the retail price of $14.99.
Dementium II was first released to strong reviews on the DS in 2010, developed by Renegade Kid. Duties have since been handed over to South African developers Memetic Games for this HD port, which will be released on PC.
The game is a survival horror set in the Bright Dawn Treatment Center, with players cast as William Redmoor, a patient who awakes from a 5 week coma to discover that his nightmares are far from over. Whilst keeping the original gameplay intact, the HD port will have better visuals, improved lighting and a tweaked control scheme. Same bones. New Flesh.
Stack Rabbit comes from the same creators as the wildly popular Where’s My Water? mobile game.
The game is a casual puzzle game starring Ben the Rabbit, a fun little rabbit who loves to solve puzzles.
You can check out some screenshots of Stack Rabbit below for a gander at the wild fun awaiting mobile game players in this wonderful casual game from Disney Interactive.

Namco Bandai has today released some new screenshots showing off the new types of enemy they can expect to face off against in Ben 10: Omniverse 2. Players set off on an all-new adventure with Ben and his Omnitrix-powered alien forms as he battles against the latest galactic threat, The Incurseans. Ben 10 will head to Earth with his partner Azmuth, creator of the Omnitrix, as they venture into the Incursean’s intergalactic warship to try and thwart Emperor Mileous.
Ben 10: Omniverse 2 will feature all new enemies in The Incurseans, an aggressive and technologically advanced frog-like species that want nothing more than to bring war to the world. These new enemy types include:
Frog Commando – these melee enemies are basic foot soldiers that attack using arm blades. If you get too close, they can jump from any distance to get to you!
Frog Infantry – Ranged enemies that attempt to hit you using special projectiles, using one of three elemental attacks. Close the gap and knock ‘em out with a couple of hits!
Toad Battler – This hulking melee enemy has the ability to change Ben’s class! Be careful around them since they take a few more hits to defeat.
Toad Assault Merc – Look out for a fast stream of lasers from this big, ranged attacker. Use a Light Class alien form to out-maneuver them and attack at his flank.
Dr. Psychobos – An evil psychotic scientist serving the Incurseans – what does he have up his claw for Ben!?!
Ben 10: Omniverse 2 will be coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii, and 3DS in November 2013. Check out screenshots of all the new enemy types below. You can check out our hands on with Ben 10: Omniverse 2 here.

Lots of great news for Wastelands Interactive this week. The team has raised over $25,000 to improve the game’s visuals. They have surpassed the original $5,000 requested, which has allowed them to reach stretch goals like a unit editor and the addition of 60 extra spells on top of the original 300 spells.
